----------------------
Luo Feng and the others easily swept through all defenses up to the Izumo Empire’s central city. Luo Feng had strictly forbidden attacks on civilians during the process. They aren’t ruthless murderers after all. This can be seen from a large number of Gama Empire citizens and their quality of life.
Of course, if they join the Izumo Empire’s army, then that would be on them.
All the armed forces of the Izumo Empire can only await the merciless strike of the Metaverse league if they don’t surrender.
"Damn it! Damn it!"
In the central city of the Izumo Empire, the king was angrily roaring. Unexpectedly, the three world masters he invited have all fallen.
He used almost all of his net worth along with a large portion of the empire’s resources to invite these guys, but they didn’t amount to anything!
"That bastard Luo Feng has now reached the world master level, and his combat power is far beyond his realm. Is that guy a monster?"
The Lord of the Izumo Empire roared silently in his room. Due to his previous actions, the relationship between the two countries has reached an extremely bad state.
"What should I do now? Wait until their fleet arrives here?"
The leader of the Izumo Empire paced back and forth in his room, his brows scrunched tightly.
"Well, why don’t I just leave this place? Anyway, even if this Empire falls apart, I can just make a new one."
Such an idea appeared in his mind. His eyes flashed and after a moment of deliberation, he made up his mind.
"Come here, stop them all! You can deploy all manpower and use all methods! Stop them at all costs!"
The leader of the Izumo empire shouted loudly at his subordinates,
"You mustn’t allow these barbarians to break through your defense lines."
These words of his came into the ears of every soldier who was fighting on the battlefield.
Many soldiers felt that something was wrong, but more obeyed the orders of their supreme leader and began to launch crazy attacks on the enemy fleets.
The majority of soldiers fell into such a frenzy. This is to be expected, after all, the majority of those soldiers are royal guards, the personal army of the king. He has full trust in them, so among these soldiers, few are considering deserting. The majority are ready to sacrifice their lives.
Unfortunately, these people simply couldn't stop Luo Feng’s fleet from advancing. Soon, the Metaverse’s fleet broke through the last line of defense, entering the capital.
However, in the depths of the central city palace, a giant wormhole machine was rapidly shaking. The leader of the Izumo eagerly stood in front of it.
Watching this instrument in operation, the leader of the Izumo Empire was extremely excited. A few moments later, after a purple wormhole appeared ahead, he immediately stepped on it, leaving this place.
The soldiers that were desperately fighting against the Metaverse league’s fleet didn’t know that their leader had already run away. They fought to the end, sacrificing their lives and the lives of their comrades, for a ruthless leader that abandoned them without a second thought.
After defeating the enemy fleet, Luo Feng and the others started searching for the spoils of the battle.
They found a lot of good things in the treasury of the Izumo empire, but their amount and quality are far from what a cosmic empire should possess.
In fact, they didn’t even find the true top resources. No advanced techniques or martial skills, no top-grade weapons, no energy source found at the core of energy ore mines.
These resources might have been used up during the war, or the Izumo empire leader might have used them to hire the three world masters.
Of course, there is also another possibility, that is, the leader of the Izumo Empire ran away with those treasures.
"There are at least some cultivation techniques left."
Luo Feng searched through the treasury and found some simple and easy-to-understand cultivation techniques.
These cultivation techniques are mostly basic. In fact, the Metaverse has accumulated a lot of these things, so they are just tasteless things.
"The rest is up to you."
After giving instructions to his deputy, Luo Feng immediately teleported away, leaving this central city.
He needs to increase his cultivation level next. Although Nebula handed over the identity of the speaker to him, he did not intend to dwell on power and wealth too much.
His highest pursuit is his cultivation base. He is now the strongest in the Metaverse, apart from Fang Yun, he needs to bear the weight of this entire cosmic country/sub-universe on his shoulders.
Fortunately, they finally dealt with their most powerful enemy, giving them a breathing opportunity.
"Huh, next, I can finally have a good rest."
When Luo Feng returned to Aegis City, this was his thought, but he didn't expect that Nebula would call him just after returning to the city, informing him that there is something they need to discuss.
"Master Nebula, this is..."
Luo Feng was a bit confused. Upon meeting Nebula, he wanted to ask him what’s the matter, but the latter silently took him to a certain place.
"Luo Feng, Master Ouroboros called us over."
Nebula explained to Luo Feng,
"Well, how was the harvest this time?"
The Metaverse fleet had already searched all the important places of the Izumo Empire, but the report hadn’t reached Nebula yet.
Of course, he actually doesn’t need to pay any attention to this, he just needs to sort out the corresponding things and present them in the next veteran meeting.
"It wasn’t bad." Luo Feng calmly said,
"It's just that the leader of the Izumo Empire had taken a lot of high-quality resources and escaped, only low-quality staff remains in the treasury."
"Well, I know." Nebula nodded.
“It was in my expectations that we can’t find many resources in the Izumo Empire’s treasury, but with the vast territory of the Izumo Empire in our hands, can’t we just search for resources on the planets there?”
“However, it’s a pity that we couldn’t find any advanced cultivation techniques in their treasury.”
The most powerful cultivation technique that the Metaverse possesses is the immortal king-class technique they found in that secret realm. A technique of this class is far from the likes of the Izumo Empire’s leader could possess.
However, this cultivation technique cannot be taught to others at will. It’s the greatest treasure and secret of the Metaverse. If its existence were to be known, the Metaverse is likely to experience an extinction disaster.
Therefore, Nebula has always wanted to collect some other advanced techniques that could be rewarded to their subordinates without worry.
"Well, you two have arrived."
Suddenly, a voice rang in their minds. Nebula and Luo Feng quickly turned their heads and found that Fang Yun was already hovering next to them.
"My lord."
The two hurriedly bowed to Fang Yun, showing their respect.
"The reason why I’m looking for you is just to ask you about your next plan."
Fang Yun flew towards a giant seat and laid down on it, curling his body and looking at the two guys below with a calm gaze.
"My lord, we plan to digest our spoils and cultivate for a while."
"Um." Fang Yun nodded,
"Yes, it seems that you also know when to stop, but you can’t stop nurturing the people in the training camp."
Hearing that, Nebula and Luo Feng looked at each other, then said,
"The big training camps will not stop operating. In fact, we don’t plan to change their state at all."
"Good, by the way..."
A smile crept on Fang Yun’s face as he said,
"Try to get the top powerhouses of the training camp to join the Gray Mist Organization."
"Grey Mist Organization?"
Nebula and Luo Feng were puzzled.
