---------------------
Contrary to their expectations, the new reinforcement fleet didn’t attack straight away. Seeing their appearance, it seems that they are also hesitating.
In fact, the reason why they are hesitating is due to Fang Yun, and they didn’t even know that he had come, otherwise, they wouldn’t have come to this area.
Fang Yun’s response was quite fast, not to mention that his arrival was silent. In fact, the size he displayed during his journey didn’t surpass ten kilometers, making it very hard for the enemy fleet to discover his existence.
If he displayed his true size, they could have discovered his existence from light-years away.
About ten days later, Luo Feng and the Izumo Empire’s fleet engaged in short-term combat. However, the two sides were very restrained, not engaging high-level combat power nor mass destruction weapons.
"What are the losses?"
Fang Yun asked when Luo Feng came to report the situation.
"My lord, today we have lost more than 300 people, and 1,300 soldiers have been seriously injured."
Luo Feng solemnly reported to Fang Yun.
"However, the Izumo Empire’s fleet will only be worse than us."
When talking about this, a slight smile appeared on Luo Feng’s face.
In the previous period, not long after the appearance of the reinforcement fleet, many officers did not recommend Luo Feng to go to Nebula to ask for reinforcements.
Most of them felt that clashing over this area on the edge of the Gama Empire was not worth it. After a clash to determine the general enemy forces, they should retreat.
However, Fang Yun had another idea. He felt that although this place might be just the edge of this empire, they should not give up on it. On the contrary, they should send manpower here to vigorously develop this area.
This wasn’t due to some prophecy or desire, just his intuition.
And his intuition was on point. After serious investigation, they found that there are many energy ore-rich planets in the corner of this area.
In addition, there are many large factories left by the Gama Empire here. As long as they take control of these giant factories, they will have additional means to manufacture starships and other space weapons in a quick and efficient manner.
In fact, they have already started to occupy these factories. At least in the region they conquered, many technicians and personnel have been sent there.
Fang Yun considers these places as critical protection areas. Even if they really give up on this area, these factories must be destroyed, not giving the enemy the chance to make a profit.
Many of their latest model blueprints have already been sent to these factories. If the enemy were to lay down their hands on them, it would be a very bad outcome for them.
After all, they are the results of the extensive research of the Metaverse, a former technology-focused superpower. Compared to the ancient universe that focuses mainly on cultivation, the Metaverse is more advanced in the technology field.
Of course, now that Fang Yun is present, there is no need to worry about these things, Fang Yun alone can wipe out the Izumo Empire’s fleet.
In the past few days, the fleet of the Izumo Empire had many small-scale clashes with the Metaverse fleet. They both had considerable losses, annoying both sides.
About half a month later, the general of the Izumo Empire’s fleet seemed unable to bear it anymore and began to actively attack Luo Feng’s fleet.
Fang Yun and Luo Feng watched the battle together.
This time, no domain master-level powerhouse appeared, so Luo Feng will not participate in the battle. He knows that the moment he appears, the enemy’s domain masters will also appear, causing the scale of the battle to jump up a level. This will be a bit unfavorable to them.
The two sides sent more and more troops to participate in the battle. At the beginning, it was only a battle of tens of thousands of people, but now it has grown to a war between hundreds of thousands of cultivators.
Moreover, this number is still rapidly increasing.
"It seems that the battle scale is about to go up."
Fang Yun calmly stared at the battlefield below. He slowly said, seemingly unintentional,
"By the way, Luo Feng, are you ready for the battle?"
"Lord Ouroboros, I’m always ready.” Luo Feng seemed full of energy, replying with a look of confidence.
"Well, if that's the case, then we will take the initiative to attack, directly upgrading the scale of the battle."
After squinting his eyes, Fang Yun suddenly said to Luo Feng.
Hearing that, Luo Feng didn't say anything but immediately started executing the order.
He quickly pressed his communication watch and called his companions that hadn't stepped on the battlefield, then started preparing to head to the battlefield at any moment.
The opposite Izumo Empire’s fleet also started moving after seeing Luo Feng’s movement. They also deployed the rest of their manpower.
Suddenly, the number of soldiers on the battlefield reached a very terrifying number. From Fang Yun's point of view, it looked like an endless swath of ants were fighting. Of course, the battlefield stretched over billions of kilometers, as each attack and explosion was almost planetary scale.
On the battlefield between the two sides, laser beams continuously collided. At the same time, with each passing moment, starships were getting damaged, then destroyed.
Luo Feng watched all this silently, his heart couldn't help but tighten.
Inside these starships, there are many of his fellow students, his juniors, seniors, and even mentors. Even if he hadn’t had much communication with them, they are still familiar people. To see them die one after the other caused him great anguish.
The war continued.
In normal times, their ships wandered together in teams of Three to Five.
Upon encountering a master beyond their level, the fleet’s tight formation allows it to send support to any team. As long as the team can resist for a few seconds, then thousands of ships will swarm the enemy master and consume him to death.
The same goes for cultivators.
Furthermore, the Metaverse’s warriors are more powerful than the same level enemy cultivators, so they can generally overwhelm the Izumo fleet’s cultivators in single and even multiple battles.
The only issue is that the Izumo Empire has a much higher number of high-level cultivators, forcing them to use the crowd tactic to hold on.
This battle lasted for three days. The Izumo Empire’s fleet tried to cause their fleet to collapse due to the immense pressure but having experienced a similar pressure before, Luo Feng’s fleet was able to hold on.
On the contrary, it was the Izumo Empire’s fleet that had the advantage that started becoming unstable. Their higher-ups were not pleased with their current advantage.
