-------------------------
Just when Luo Feng was deep in his thoughts, a black shadow suddenly flew from the distance. This black shadow looked like the accumulation of countless smaller beings, just like a swarm of locusts.
"This..."
Luo Feng was shocked upon seeing this scene. It was the first time he had seen so many cultivators that move freely across space, that is planet-level.
"All companies follow orders and attack freely."
A majestic voice sounded from their wristwatches. In an instant, Luo Feng recovered and focused on the enemy fleet and cultivators army.
Both he and Wang Meng looked at each other, then led their company and headed towards the enemy forward. In just a minute, the two armies collide heavily.
The war has begun.
This battle was much more tragic than the previous battles. Luo Feng was also aware of this situation, so he didn’t act as recklessly as before, but conserved his energy and strength for any possible situation.
Luo Feng felt that he was being targeted. During the course of the battle, he faced at least 5 cosmic level powerhouses, making him very uncomfortable.
Especially at this instance when he isn’t intending to use all of his strength. While dealing with 5 opponents of the same level, he has to be cautious, for fear of making a mistake.
Throughout such an intense and confusing war, even if he is more powerful than the average cosmic level cultivator, he can fall at any time.
This intense battle lasted a long time, five days.
After experiencing such a high-intensity battle for five days, even a cosmic level cultivator might die at any time.
Luo Feng received a lot of "care". After he consumed the five cosmic level masters to death, ten more cosmic level masters came to deal with him, almost making him collapse.
At that time, he knew it. The other party definitely knew about his existence and record. The previous vanguard force might have been a suicide squad, but it’s not useless.
Its main purpose is to gather information about all the powerful or outstanding cultivators in the Burning legion.
Due to their outstanding combat power, Luo Feng’s companions were paid attention to. In addition, the other geniuses in the legion were also given priority.
However, this life threat also stimulated Luo Feng's potential, allowing him to kill the first 5 cosmic level powerhouses despite retaining a part of his strength.
After fighting with the ten cosmic level masters for almost a day, he killed seven and injured 3 before escaping.
There is no other way, Luo Feng knows that he cannot continue to stay in place, otherwise, he will eventually get consumed by the enemy. Even if he kills all these 10 cultivators, more powerhouses of the same level or even beyond might emerge, causing him to lose his life.
So even though he still retained ample energy, he quickly fled and headed towards a more densely populated place on the battlefield.
As long as a cosmic-level master approached him, he would immediately dodge and escape. It didn’t matter to him whether the Izumo or Gama Empire’s cultivators were killed due to the aftermath, anyway, both are enemies.
It was his actions like this that allowed him to survive this battle. Otherwise, with his current strength and with special attention from the enemy, there’s no way he could have survived.
As he fled around the battlefield while fighting, Luo Feng also discovered that his companions from the Metaverse weren’t unscathed. More than half of them were injured. In addition, eleven people died.
The fact that more than one-tenth of his companions died during this battle caused Luo Feng to be very uncomfortable. He had a bad premonition.
It’s unknown how many of these comrades would survive in the end.
"Hah..."
Luo Feng sighed internally. After this battle, the entire Burning Legion suffered a relatively large loss.
Even his captain, Wang Meng, died in this battle.
More importantly, this is just the first confrontation. Next, if nothing unexpected happens, there will probably be several similar wars.
After every war, he would definitely continue to experience the pain of the death of his companions.
"I wonder whether this burning legion can block the advance of the Izumo Empire’s army in the end."
Luo Feng shook his head, then sat on the ground of the base and used energy stones to quickly restore his spiritual power.
Who knows when the second war will begin, so the most important thing they need to do now is to quickly restore their spiritual power and deal with their injuries, allowing them to immediately enter the battle state once the enemy attacks.
About five days later, the fleet of the Izumo Empire launched the second war. As expected, Luo Feng was targeted again.
Fortunately, Luo Feng now has a wealth of experience in dealing with this situation, so the enemy didn’t cause much trouble to him.
This time, Luo Feng's situation was a little easier than last time.
In the following period, the Izumo Empire launched a total of seven attacks on the burning legion. Most of the Burning Legion’s forces were consumed, and the same was true for the Izumo Empire’s army.
Finally, the war ended with the withdrawal of the Izumo Empire’s fleet.
After this battle, the Burning Legion’s status in the Gama Empire is probably going to be reduced.
After all, most of their high-level combat power has been severely damaged. Of course, the Izumo Empire’s fleet also had a severe loss, even more grave than that of the Izumo Empire.
After all, they have attacked a fortified base, filled with formations and war structures. To deal with this problem, they dispatched 2 to 3 times the number of high-level combat power.
Under such an offensive, even with the hope advantage, the burning legion has lost a large amount of high-level combat power.
Even the elites of the metaverse had a severe loss. Almost a half of them died.
However, the group of people who survived can be regarded as the most powerful elites in the metaverse. After experiencing such a life and death crisis, they will be able to reach an even higher level in the future.
Furthermore, due to their great contribution, they will likely receive a reward from the Gama Empire, allowing their cultivation to reach the next level.
