"Master Ouroboros, according to the information transmitted by our monitors, the distance between that fleet and our base is relatively short. According to their current speed, they will arrive in about ten days."
After such a long period, Nebula and the others have finally completed the space base in the Kapor Star Belt. It boosts the highest defense and strongest power of the Metaverse.
In addition, they also moved the first training camp here. Fang Yun also goes from time to time to the training camp to check the progress of the students.
According to Fang Yun's instructions, the daily training tasks of the first training camp are very heavy. The kind that is very dangerous and even life-threatening.
In Fang Yun’s cognition, under high-stress environments where one can die or be eliminated at any moment, the students can burst out with terrifying strength.
His purpose is to constantly squeeze the potential of these students and improve their strength as quickly as possible. The Metaverse doesn’t lack low-level cultivators at the moment. Moreover, having more low-level cultivators at the moment doesn’t make much sense.
What they lack are high-level cultivators. After all, it’s impossible for the Metaverse to solely rely on Fang Yun. Other people must participate in these cosmic battles.
To quickly cultivate high-level cultivators, a price needs to be paid.
Although the first training camp is extremely cruel and the death rate is particularly high, countless people are racking their brains to enter it.
As long as anyone enters the first training camp, they will receive guidance from experts and the highest level powerhouses in the Metaverse. Not to mention that they will never have to worry about resources.
Moreover, the first batch of graduates have one of the highest strengths and status in the Metaverse, some have reached the planet-level peak and are about to become star-level masters. Powerful beings that can even destroy stars.
Of course, there are still many applicants willing to dedicate their strength to the Metaverse. Whether they die in the training camp or on the battlefield, they have no complaints.
"Send the silver group from the first training camp, mainly for harassment. Tell them to delay the progress of the enemy as much as possible."
Fang Yun gave instructions to Nebula.
The students in the silver group are all planet-star masters, above them are the gold group and the diamond group. These two teams represent star-level and cosmic-level masters respectively.
Of course, these two groups are still empty, but Fang Yun knows that sooner or later someone will reach this level, so he set up these two groups in advance and ordered Nebula and the others to build a corresponding training plan.
As long as someone becomes a member of these two groups, they will immediately start the development plan.
“Understood! Master Ouroboros.“
Nebula left soon after. He ordered the students of the Silver Group to try and slow down the enemy fleet. This is undoubtedly a very big challenge for the students in the Silver Group.
However, Nebula vaguely understood Fang Yun’s plan. In the face of such a life and death trial, the students that will survive are the true elites with real perseverance and great luck.
Using this method to screen students is very cruel, but they have no other choice, in the face of such an unfathomable enemy, such drastic measures are their only choice.
There are more than 2,000 students in the silver group, and it wouldn’t be bad for 500 to come back alive this time.
After Nebula left, Fang Yun started reflecting on the plan. At first sight, they only have about 2000 planet-level cultivators, directly sacrificing more than 70% of them in exchange for a few star-level masters might seem stupid, but looking at it from a macro perspective, it’s the most cost-effective way.
There are many God of war level cultivators in the Metaverse. The next batch of planet-level cultivators will appear soon.
Besides, the reason why Metaverse has the capital to compete with the ancient universe is not because of this group of students, but because of Fang Yun’s presence.
The students who survived this war will definitely greatly improve in this life and death crisis.
The opponent they face this time won’t be the powerful star beasts, but something far scarier. No matter how powerful are the star beasts of the Metaverse, they’re far from comparable to the incoming enemy fleet.
Fang Yun also asked Nebula to equip these students with the corresponding surveillance devices. These devices will be used to observe their battle dynamic and actions.
Fang Yun flew to the monitoring station of the base and began to watch the video data transmitted by the silver group.
2323 students set off this time, all wearing the latest life mechas. The functions of these mechas aren’t as comprehensive as starships, but they are more suitable for cultivators' combat.
Furthermore, Planet-level cultivators can already scan the surrounding area with their mental power and the officers are sending them the latest data obtained through the monitoring equipment.
As the silver group continued heading forward, they were soon about to collide with the Gama empire’s fleet. Judging from the images sent back from them, this group of students wasn’t in a hurry to fight with the fleet but were secretly observing it.
"Luo Feng, where do you think we should launch an attack?"
In a corner of the fleet, a three-person team was communicating, and one of the bulkier men asked his companion.
His companion looked neither tall nor short. He looked moderate in every aspect, but his eyes were very sharp. After hearing his companion’s question, he pondered for a moment before replying.
"Look again."
After speaking, he actively flew towards the other side and started observing the edge of the fleet.
The fleet had not yet discovered the presence of this group of students and continued flying forward, but judging from the formation of this fleet, it was a defensive formation.
It seems that the fleet of the Gama Empire is wary of sneak attacks from the Metaverse. This shows that they don’t have absolute confidence in their power.
As time passed, all the first training camp’s graduates, including Luo Feng, still did not launch a sneak attack. They contacted each other and started gathering in the direction of Luo Feng’s team.
The students in this silver group seemed to be mainly headed by the student called Luo Feng.
"Luo Feng, what do you think now?"
More people flew to Luo Feng's side and asked him for his opinion.
While Luo Feng carefully observed the fleet ahead, he was formulating then scraping countless plans in his mind.
"Don't worry, everyone, our purpose is to harass this fleet, not to fight them head-on."
"Moreover, the higher-ups asked us to just delay this fleet, not stop them here."
"I guess that this is a test from the higher-ups.“
