Chapter 63: Arriving at Star City
🕑 Added 2021-06-24 22:27:36 +0000 UTCShillong ‘slowly’ carried Arman towards the main city of the Starland Kingdom, Star City.
This is also the base camp of the Soderbergh Chamber of Commerce.
After flying for seven or eight hours, the sky was already dim, and Shillong finally arrived near Star city.
Taking advantage of the dim sky, Shillong landed outside the forest seven or eight kilometers away from Star City.
“Boom!”
When he landed, the surrounding earth shook.
The wild beasts in the forest sensed the overwhelming ominous aura radiated by Shillong and fled one after another.
There was chaos in the forest. Many low-level adventurers suffered an unexplainable disaster. They either encountered some high-level monsters or have been killed by groups of monsters that fled in a panic...
Shillong and Arman who landed on the ground quickly became humanoids.
Shillong's current human form is that of a child around 10 years old. Twenty years ago, his human form was that of a 4 to 5 years old child.
Outside a dark forest, there was a 10 years old child that wore an aristocratic blue and gray costume.
He looked quite handsome.
The type of humanoid that Arman chose is an elf.
He looked like a 14 years old human child.
He looked very handsome, wearing a silver armor suit that was extremely bright and reflective!
’Ok! It’s made of real silver! His coat was originally a noble blue-gray costume, but this kid likes silver!’
Therefore, he asked the alchemist in dragon island to do him a favor. He melted hundreds of silver coins, transformed these silver coins into small scales, then inlaid them on his clothes.
The whole article is composed of clothing, pants, gloves, and shoes. If he stands in the midday sun, the costume can reflect the dazzling light! making him a living light bulb!
After he became an elf, he cast a scornful look at Shillong and said triumphantly,
"Shillong! Do you know who is the younger brother and who is the big brother now?"
"You little kid! Don’t you know who is the eldest brother and who is the younger brother? Do you think you can beat me in my human form?" Shillong disdainfully said.
Arman chuckled. He walked to Shillong and gestured for his height with his right hand. He compared both of their heights, then triumphantly looked down at Shillong.
In their humanoid forms, Shillong can only reach Arman’s neck.
Shillong is 1,4 meters and Arman is 1,6 meters.
"I only saw reality," Arman arrogantly said.
"You stupid kid!" Shillong didn't bother to pay attention to him, this kid always had some problems with his brain.
The two dragons ran towards Star City.
Their speed is also extremely slow, maintaining a speed of more than 20 meters per second.
But after a short while, Shillong stopped for a moment. Arman also stopped and looked at Shillong with a questioning look.
"What's the matter with you?"
"Danger! It’s too dangerous!"
Shillong said with a solemn expression, "It is too dangerous for us to travel in our humanoid forms! The airship we encountered before is very powerful. It was able to withstand dozens of my strikes without breaking! It’s an extremely high-tech device! This fully demonstrates the power of mankind! It is too dangerous for us to travel in our human forms!"
After Shillong becomes a humanoid, his strength will be reduced by more than 90%, possibly reaching 95%!
This degree of weakening does not mean that 20 human-form Shillongs can fight against the dragon-form Shillong.
This is the weakening of strength and all aspects! Defense, speed, resilience, magic, endurance, reaction speed, etc... All of these have been weakened 20 fold.
Let’s make an analogy.
If Shillong uses 10% of his power, that doesn’t mean that he can only defeat 4 of himself using 2,5% of his power.
But at least a dozen! Possibly dozens! This is just a weakening of 4 folds.
So using 15% of his power? What? How many 2,5% of himself can he beat? At least a hundred!
The difference between 100% and 5% is definitely the difference between heaven and earth, maybe thousands of times, tens of thousands, or even more!
It’s precisely because of this overwhelming gap that Shillong is a little uneasy. Although his human form is still very strong compared to ordinary humans, he has always been accustomed to the invincible power of his dragon body, hence he felt that he is very weak now!
After thinking for a while, his eyes suddenly lit up.
’Since the human form is weak, let's change it!’
His body was slightly twisted again, then changed form again!
He has become a boy with a height of 1.5 meters and a body covered in black scales.
There is a pair of folded wings behind, and golden light flashes occasionally between the gaps between the scales.
His pupils are the same as those of the dragon.
The pair of dragon horns on his forehead are bent and stretched towards the sky. They are about 7 or 8 centimeters long, black and hard.
The nails on his hands are thick and black!
He became a Dragonborn!
Dragonborn is the product of the combination of true dragons and humanoid species.
Metal dragons and five-color dragons left behind many descendants through combining with humanoid creatures.
The difference between the two is that if a five-color evil dragon doesn’t find a true dragon partner during estrus, then it’s very likely to find a species to combine with at will, and this species may be human.
Generally speaking, this human being will be very miserable, because five-color evil dragons always treat humans as "low-level creatures", and the child born is just a low-level creature.
The general five-color evil dragon descendant is a poor creature that is loved by neither his father nor mother.
This kind of dragon descendant is relatively tragic. They’re very likely to be abandoned. If lucky enough to survive, most of them will become an individual that is extremely harmful to society, generally called the devil Dragonborn.
The metal dragon descendants born of humans are happier because the combination of the two is usually because of love.
Although the life span of humans is relatively short, as long as the metal dragon falls in love with that human being, it will remain loyal to him/her before the end of the human’s life.
They will also treat their Dragonborn properly, hence the Dragonborn will be loved by his parents in his childhood.
However, the metal dragons will not bring their Dragonborn into their own metal dragon society but will let them continue to stay in human society.
Because metal dragons believe that human society is more suitable for Dragonborn to survive.
Over time, the Dragonborn of the metal dragon clan has also become a huge ethnic group.
Collectively referred to as the good Dragonborn.
Shillong’s current image is very similar to that of a Dragonborn.
Arman looked at Shillong with a puzzled expression,
"What are you doing?"
"I’m choosing the safest choice!" Shillong replied,
"You should also transform into a Dragonborn! This form can bring out the highest strength possible as a humanoid."
In this form, Shillong is about three times stronger than before.
He can use almost 15% of his true form’s strength.
"This..." Arman hesitated for a moment before shaking his head,
"Forget it!"
He refused.
The young silver dragon seems to have a special love for creatures like elves.
This seems to be passed down from his inherited memory.
This may also be because the elves are the most beautiful creatures among the humanoid races.
Of course, the most important thing is that the humanoid form of his mother Viola is an elf!
"Anyway, Shillong, you will protect me, right? Mother told you this before leaving.”
"Now you recognize who is the eldest brother and who is the younger brother?" Shillong said with a smile.
"Of course I am the big brother! You are still half a head shorter than me now!" Arman said with hesitation, causing Shillong to helplessly shake his head.
"Come on! before dawn arrives, let's rush to Star City first."
After Shillong finished speaking, the two dragons continued to run quickly.
It took them almost 17 or 18 minutes to run to Star City. Originally. With a speed of more than 20 m/s, it would take them only 8 minutes to arrive.
But Arman, this weak chicken, became even weaker upon transforming into an elf. 20 m/s is his highest speed. After a few minutes, he became tired and his speed was greatly reduced.
