-----------------------
"Huh?"
After hearing the words of Speaker Nebula of the Fourth Heaven, the rest of the highest heavens' leaders squinted their eyes, thinking deeply.
"Nebula, in your opinion, will that monster agree to keep peace with us?"
After a moment of silence, Tom, the leader of the first heaven, asked.
After hesitating, Nebula said, "It should be possible.”
Pausing for a moment, he continued: "This giant serpent should have great demand for energy, and amongst our four heavens, do you think we lack energy?"
"We can still provide enough energy for a pollutant to live, and..."
He suddenly raised his head and looked at Tom and the other two people.
"The three of you, if we cooperate with this pollutant, we might be able to solve some problems..."
"You mean, do you want it to participate in that matter?"
Tom's complexion suddenly changed, falling deep into his thoughts, contemplating that possibility.
"Yes." Nebula nodded.
"This great serpent is extremely powerful. If we have its help, we should be able to prevent this disaster."
Hearing Nebula’s suggestion, one of the two other silhouettes frowned and shook his head, seemingly disagreeing with this decision.
"Nebula, this giant serpent is indeed quite powerful, but you can’t say that it can certainly help us through that disaster. If something goes wrong, will you take responsibility?"
"If it has this ability, doesn’t it mean that it’s more powerful than all of our four heavens?"
The speaker who disagreed is obviously a bit unconvinced. Their four heavens represent the peak power amongst the nine heavens, but now, Nebula is saying that the most powerful existence in the nine heavens isn’t them, but a pollutant.
This is something he doesn't want to admit.
Recognizing that the rulers of this cosmos are weaker than a pollutant is an extremely difficult thing for them.
"Ponzo, I know you don't want to admit this." Nebula glanced at him, and then said,
"But this is a fact."
"The growth span of this pollutant is extremely large. With its growth speed, it will eventually surpass us, and this day isn’t too far away. This is the reason why I don’t want to become its enemy.“
Nebula solemnly said.
Hearing that, Ponzo opened his mouth, as if he wanted to say something, but he was speechless.
He had to admit that the growth potential of the great serpent is almost limitless. In a short period, it has grown from the insignificant creature they could casually crush back at the eighth heaven, to an extremely powerful pollutant that even they have to take seriously.
Most importantly, the growth of the great serpent is far from ending. If it continues to grow at this rate, it will quickly become a creature that it can’t deal with.
"Nebula, then what should we do if this creature’s growth hits its limits one day?"
The last person spoke, and the moment he spoke, Ponzo and Tom both looked at the Nebula.
Nebula said,
"If one day, the giant serpent reaches its limit and is unable to continue growing before we could accomplish our goals, then it would be the time for us to deal with it."
Upon saying this, a cold light flashed across his eyes.
Seeing this, the other three nodded, apparently agreeing with Nebula's statement.
After coming to an agreement, Tom, the first heaven’s speaker asked.
"How should we contact this giant serpent?"
“Now, the giant serpent doesn’t hide its whereabouts, it should be very easy to find it. At that time, we’ll send a team to try contacting it."
Nebula said after pondering for a moment.
Hearing this, Tom nodded and said,
"Okay, Nebula, we’ll leave it to you. "
Nebula nodded, then the four of them discussed for a while before turning off the communication. After watching the projection in front of him disappear, Nebula leaned back on his chair and became silent.
This universe is extremely big, so big that it’s unimaginable for most creatures and civilizations.
Their nine heavens occupy only a small corner of this universe. They classified other areas as desolate areas or ruins, but they have a shallow understanding of them, far from their understanding of the nine heavens.
However, this didn’t stop them from constantly exploring and expanding, increasing their power and influence and the four highest heavens are the ones that know the most about the outside cosmos.
That’s why they are different from the lower heavens that are always fighting against each other. They are much more united because they have a broader horizon.
In the process of their continuous exploration and expansion, they have obtained a lot of benefits and resources. A variety of energy sources and some relics left by ancient civilizations, and from those relics, they learned about many great secrets.
For example, in some relics, there are records about some ancient civilizations that have abandoned the path of machinery and technology and focused on transforming their bodies, creating super individuals who can cross the void using their body, crushing planets and destroying stars, more powerful than pollutants and star beasts.
Of course, existences of this level are the best among those civilizations, but it doesn’t mean that this is the end of the ultimate end of body transformation.
"Now, our level of science and technology has basically reached the end."
Nebula thought internally. This is the reason why they are constantly exploring outward. They hope to obtain more ancient civilizations’ relics and find the way forward.
It's just that, in the process of exploration, they encountered a lot of trouble. Their biggest trouble is a special civilization outside of the nine heavens.
This civilization is exactly like the one mentioned in the ancient civilization relic.
The power of these people is similar to the life mechas they use but very different.
These people store some kind of huge energy in their bodies, which they can use to launch extremely terrifying attacks or create an extremely powerful defensive field.
However, the most headache-inducing thing is their speed and agility.
When they first encountered these people, Nebula and the others were stunned. At that time, their expedition team suffered a heavy loss, but the most serious trouble is that they exposed the coordinates of their nine heavens.
In this dark universe, most civilizations that exposed their location to more powerful civilizations faced either extinction or annexation.
Fortunately, the civilization they encountered isn’t powerful to the level of despair. They can still fight against them for a long time. Therefore, they resisted their invasion and transferred the battle to a desolate land outside the nine heavens.
