------------------------
In the deep space, the giant turtle rapidly moved forward, and from its mouth, a sharp howling sounded. It is very clear how dangerous its current actions are. Opposite to it is hundreds of thousands of battleships. Far from what it could handle.
However, facing almost certain death, it decisively rushed forward.
The giant turtle is intending to intercept hundreds of thousands of advanced battleships alone.
Before it could approach any further, densely packed laser beams flew towards it. In response, the giant turtle immediately expanded the surrounding space.
When the laser beams reached the space around the giant turtle, their speed quickly slowed down.
This is because the surrounding space was expanded. It’s just not visible from the outside, creating the illusion that the laser beams slowed down.
Taking advantage of this gap, the giant turtle quickly moved out of the way, then rushed towards the opposing fleet again.
In fact, the giant turtle has very few attack abilities. Furthermore, its attack capabilities are incomparable to the mass-destruction abilities of Fang Yun. It doesn’t have any way to cause wide-ranging damage to the opposite fleet.
However, it has no choice. it didn’t realize that this big fleet was passing by, thinking that they came to attack Fang Yun.
Currently, Fang Yun is in a weak state, unable to move at all. Hence to stop this fleet from discovering Fang Yun, it decided to come out and intercept them!
More laser beams flew towards the giant turtle, but they were all dodged by it.
After moving back and forth like this, soon, the giant turtle reached the area above that fleet, then started attacking them with its own laser beams. However, all spaceships activated their energy shields and easily resisted its attack.
In response, it faced more powerful and numerous attacks.
"Why hadn’t the great serpent appeared yet?"
In the control center of the fifth heaven’s command ship, Hua Rong hesitated as he watched the great turtle exchange fire with them.
The current situation of the giant turtle is very delicate. With a single mistake, it will definitely be bombarded by their attack and become a piece of dust.
However, the giant serpent still hasn’t appeared.
"Is it..."
Hua Rong frowned. A thought suddenly flashed through his mind, instantly waking him up. Their thought process might have been wrong from the beginning.
"Could it be that the giant serpent didn’t come with the giant turtle?"
Hua Rong looked a little excited,
"Did the great serpent have some unexpected circumstances? It might be trapped or seriously injured, and it’s somewhere on our route."
"The giant turtle should have come to intercept us. It wants to protect the great serpent."
The more Hua Rong thought about it, the more certain he was about his guess.
And he was mostly right. Hua Rong quickly contacted Byrne. He wanted to convey his guess.
"Byrne, I know what's going on."
A confident smile appeared on his face as he said.
"This giant turtle should be alone. You don’t have to hold back your firepower, launch a more intensive attack."
After saying this, he recounted his guess to Byrne. He is 90% confident that his guess is true. That’s the only explanation he could think of based on the weird behavior of the great turtle.
Byrne was stunned upon hearing Hua Rong’s guess. After a moment of silence, a smile emerged on his face.
"Commander Hua Rong, I'm afraid that your guess is true."
"This giant turtle is likely protecting the great serpent, and judging from its aggressiveness and movements, the great serpent is likely somewhere in front of us.”
After saying this, he immediately instructed his men to launch a full attack on the giant turtle.
“Boom! Boom! Boom!”
Countless weapons were turned on. These weapons all locked the giant turtle in the distance and started charging.
Facing the fleet’s change of attitude, the giant turtle felt restless.
It sensed that the danger of the fleet ahead skyrocketed. Most of its attacks couldn’t break through the fleet’s defense. From the beginning of the battle, it only managed to destroy two battleships.
This battle result is pitiful. There is no way. The number of these spaceships is too high. Through clever formations and mutual assistance, they can easily defend against the giant turtle’s attacks.
However, the great turtle has no way to stop the attacks of this fleet.
Its physical strength is rapidly getting consumed. After all, unlike a perpetual motion machine like Fang Yun, continuously using large-scale skills like ‘space expansion’ is very draining.
“Boom! Boom! Boom!”
Eventually, some attacks landed on the giant turtle’s body, leaving huge pits and blasting its flesh and blood out.
"Hahaha, this is a great opportunity, we haven't collected the body tissues of this turtle yet."
Seeing that the giant turtle was seriously injured, Hua Rong shouted with excitement. Across the holographic projection back on his ship, Byrne nodded in agreement.
The two commanders are very excited.
It won’t be long before this giant turtle is dealt with, and after it, the great serpent will fall in their bag.
"Hoof... I can finally provide an explanation to the Patriarch."
Hua Rong heaved a sigh of relief. Watching the struggling turtle in space, his eyes gradually sharpened.
The wounds on the giant turtle’s body are increasing by the second. According to his estimation, this turtle will probably die after 10 more seconds.
"Don't attack the turtle's head, be sure to ensure the integrity of its head."
Hua Rong gave instructions to his men. Usually, the brain tissues of these creatures are the most research worthy. Although the other body parts aren’t worthless, they are much more simple and aren’t an important component.
Only the things in the head are the most complicated and important. Especially their energy crystals.
In a previous conversation with the higher-ups, his leader emphasized that he must keep the integrity of these creatures’ heads.
More attacks fell on the giant turtle. Half of its shell was blown up. From its wounds, blood flowed out like a waterfall, looking particularly grim.
“Woo!!”
The giant turtle wailed in pain, its eyes became red. It wanted to launch a fierce counterattack and destroy this hateful fleet. Unfortunately, it didn’t have the strength.
