--------------------
Under everyone's attention, Fang Yun soon came to the boundary between the sixth and fifth heavens, but he didn’t see any defensive lines here.
Most of the army of the fifth heaven was destroyed by him at the defense line at the entrance of the sixth heaven.
As Fang Yun flew toward the fifth heaven. On the Nether Planet, the capital of the fifth heaven. All of the fifth heaven leaders were sitting in the conference room.
"Everyone, let's talk about it. The great serpent is heading towards us."
In a meeting room, a middle-aged man said to the rest of the people in the conference room. It’s the speaker of the fifth heaven council.
At this moment, this speaker looked extremely haggard. From the current actions of the great serpent, it seems intent on killing all of those who gave the order to attack it.
"Mr. Speaker, let's dissolve the council." A slender man suggested.
Many people thought that this was a good solution. Hushed voices sounded in the meeting room as a pair of two or three people started talking in a low voice. The speaker remained silent, waiting for them to finish talking.
"No!"
Suddenly, some denied this idea with a loud voice.
"If the council is dissolved, who knows what will happen?"
"That giant serpent might make our entire heaven pay for it!",
The person who spoke is a mighty old man. He is one of the few people in this meeting room that think for the citizens and civilizations under them. He felt that dissolving the council might cause the great serpent to vent its anger on the entire fifth heaven.
After reaching old age, he doesn’t just care about his interests anymore, but more about the endless living creatures of the fifth heaven and the endless civilizations that need their protection.
Dissolving the council might save their lives, but the stability and safety of the entire fifth heaven will be compromised.
The old man is naturally reluctant to take such a risk.
"Old Li, you think too much."
The slender man who made the suggestion stood up and said.
"How big is our fifth heaven? It has hundreds of thousands of galaxies and billions of civilizations! Even if the giant serpent is humongous and has terrifying power, it’s still extremely small in the face of our heaven."
"Even for a monster of its level, it’s impossible to destroy the entire fifth heaven. That’s something that can’t be done in a thousand years!”
“So, your worries are groundless. Moreover, do you want us to surrender to the giant serpent, allowing it to kill or devour us to spare those civilians?"
The moment the slender man finished, hushed whispers sounded through the conference room. From their tone of voice, it could be seen that they agree with the slender man’s suggestion.
The old man sighed helplessly and said,
"Compared to our lives, the continuation and survival of the civilizations of the fifth heaven are more important..."
No one paid any attention to this old man.
"Mr. Speaker, what should we do with these guys from the sixth heaven?"
Someone stood up and asked.
Now, the higher-ups of the sixth heaven have all arrived and they are on the Nether Planet. However, their situation was slightly different from their imagination. They are currently under house arrest.
Originally they came to ask for help, and the higher-ups of the Fifth Heaven were also prepared to accept them, but then they learned that the great serpent searched for these people in the sixth heaven, then headed straight towards the fifth heaven.
This monster is clearly not planning to let go of them.
The fifth heaven leaders lost all thought of welcoming the leaders of the sixth heaven. They are more concerned about how to save their lives. In case the monster comes, they can throw these people at it. Maybe they will be able to provide them with a few more seconds to escape.
"Temporarily detain them."
The speaker at the head of the conference table, Merck, groaned, then said. A second later, one of the people sitting around the conference table stood up and asked.
"Mr. Speaker, is the fourth heaven not planning to help us?”
They are the closest to the fourth heaven and technically their subordinate. They sent them repeated requests for help and rescue but the fourth heaven hadn’t sent any response up to now.
"Could it be that the fourth heaven is afraid of the great serpent? They don’t want to provoke it? But even if they don’t do so, who knows if the giant serpent will take the initiative to attack them?”
A luxuriously dressed man slapped the table and angrily said, criticizing the fourth heaven for their timidity.
"The high-levels of the fourth heaven are just a group of mediocre turtles who are afraid of death! How can they give the initiative to such a bloodthirsty monster?"
"This giant serpent needs to consume a tremendous amount of energy. As long as it enters the fourth heaven, it will bring a great disaster to them. It’s impossible to live peacefully with such a monster!"
The others in the conference room all nodded in agreement. They felt that the leaders of the fourth heaven aren’t competent rulers, giving the initiative to such a monster.
"These hateful guys. What we experienced today, they will experience tomorrow!"
As voices filled with indignation spread across the room, Merck raised his hand and said.
"Everyone, all right, Be quiet first!"
"Now that everyone made up their minds, we will dissolve the council tomorrow."
"We’ll wait until the giant serpent leaves the fifth heaven, then enact the council again."
The speaker issued the order to temporarily dissolve the council.
In fact, there are still some fleets in the fifth heaven. With the dissolution of the council, their highest leaders disappeared. It was a disaster for them.
They couldn't contact the council at all. Without a source to receive commands from, many generals had a bad assumption, so they took the fleet as their own.
They crowned themselves as kings, then cut off their connection with the council.
However, there are many loyal generals. After finding that they couldn’t contact the council, they headed towards Nether Planet to investigate the situation and rescue their leaders.
