----------------------
The number of ships in the entire fleet dropped drastically, and as a last resort, they could only periodically use the special detector, even if it costs a lot of energy.
On one occasion, they found Fang Yun’s trace, then immediately launched an attack on him. Fortunately, Fang Yun quickly reacted and used “Space Barrier”, deflecting most attacks.
Some of the remaining attacks fell on his body, but they did not cause him any serious trouble. In the end, he managed to escape.
"Commander, what shall we do now?"
Lu Ming's adjutant asked him. The most difficult time has arrived, and this is the scene they least wanted to see.
That giant serpent knows how to proficiently use guerilla tactics, and it’s slowly eating away at their fleet. If things continue like this, their fleet is going to become weaker and weaker, until it’s completely eaten.
"Now, how many times can our special detector be used at most?"
Lu Ming asked his adjutant. What they need most now is to find the location of the giant serpent so that they can launch a vicious attack on it.
He could see that the giant serpent isn’t invincible, but only the powerful ships of the fourth heaven could inflict fatal injuries on it.
It’s a pity that they don’t have many of these powerful ships in their fleet. Furthermore, under the targeted attacks of the giant serpent, they lost many of them. Only 35,000 of those ships remain.
"It can be used up to one hundred and eighty-three times."
The adjutant replied.
"Commander, are you planning to use the detector to track the escape route of the giant serpent?"
"Yeah." Lu Ming nodded, " We have to catch up with that monster. Otherwise, we will only be a target for that monster to attack and consume."
Although their fleet can cause some damage to that giant serpent every time, it’s not fatal. Most importantly, the giant serpent heals up to peak condition before returning every time.
"Yeah."
The adjutant nodded, then reminded, "Commander, although the special detector can be used more than 180 times, it’s not only energy-consuming, it’s also very harmful to our soldiers."
"They will be awarded the Imperial Hero Medal." After a moment of silence, Lu Ming suddenly said.
Upon hearing this, the adjutant didn’t talk anymore. He saluted Lu Ming and then went to the other side.
The detector on the command ship started to operate again, looking for the traces of the giant serpent. Soon they found some of the traces it left while escaping, then followed it.
When the fleet started following behind, Fang Yun immediately sensed it. The number of ships in that fleet is too high, each one of their movements can cause a great commotion. Moreover, Fang Yun is less than a light-year away from that fleet, so it's not difficult to sense their movements.
This made it extremely hard for the fleet to catch up with Fang Yun. Even if they increased their speed to the maximum, they couldn’t catch up no matter how hard they chased.
The chase continued as the fleet never relented. Eventually, they reached the edge of the seventh heaven.
During this period of time, Fang Yun had always wondered whether to leave the seventh heaven. It seems that he can do so soon.
Lu Ming and others behind Fang Yun were particularly troubled. They have to constantly use the special detector to keep following the traces left behind by Fang Yun, but the problem is that their speed isn’t high enough to catch up with him.
Therefore, even if they found Fang Yun’s trail, they weren’t able to catch up with him, wasting their energy with achieving any result.
However, if they don’t use the special detector, they wouldn’t be able to find Fang Yun’s trail at all.
This caused them to be caught in a dilemma.
"The problem is that we still have few high-level ships."
Lu Ming shook his head and sighed. If their fleet was entirely composed of the fourth heaven ships, they won’t have to worry about the great serpent’s attack.
They could in fact carry out an anti-kill on the giant serpent and immediately kill it, unfortunately...
"Commander, we are not far from the boundary of the seventh and sixth heavens."
The adjutant reminded Lu Ming.
Lu Ming’s heart was filled with irritation as he heard this. He knew that they had to deal with the giant serpent as soon as possible. Unfortunately, they don’t have any solution for the moment.
"Damn it!"
Lu Ming cursed bitterly. Suddenly, a piercing siren resounded through the control center.
"What's the matter?"
Lu Ming was startled at first, but he quickly recovered. He hurriedly shouted at the crew in charge of the control board.
"Has the giant serpent appeared?"
A soldier not far away immediately reported.
"Commander, the giant serpent has appeared again. This time, it’s attacking the fourth heaven’s ships we brought."
"Stop it! Quickly surround and suppress it!"
Lu Ming screamed frantically, then said to a crew member not far away.
"Immediately show the image over there to me!"
A holographic projection appeared in front of him. On the projection, the giant serpent could be seen madly attacking a slightly different small fleet. The fourth heaven fleet.
“Boom! Boom! Boom!”
The giant serpent was attacking the surrounding ships frantically, using his most powerful energy skill “Gamma-Ray Burst” to destroy as many ships as possible.
"This bastard!"
Looking at the giant serpent that seemed to be unstoppable, Lu Ming clenched his teeth. He noticed that in just a short period, they lost almost a thousand top-level battleships.
If this continues, their fleet will be over soon.
“Boom!”
In the end, Fang Yun ended his attack and slipped away generously, right before they could surround him.
“It’s almost certain now.”
After Fang Yun left, he started pondering on his plan.
"Now I don't have to hide anymore. Anyway, I can just head towards the sixth heaven."
"The sixth heaven shouldn’t have these top ships from the fourth heaven, and even if they have it, the quantity should be very small. Anyway, the danger of going to the sixth heaven is very minimal now "
Fang Yun analyzed. After that, he called the giant turtle, then the two of them headed towards the sixth heaven.
At the moment, they are on the edge of the seventh heaven. As long as they cross a few more galaxies, they will reach the edge of the seventh heaven.
Not long after Fang Yun and the giant turtle rushed towards the sixth heaven, Lu Ming and his fleet discovered it while following their trail. This caused them to be very anxious.
"We absolutely must stop them from entering the sixth heaven!"
Lu Ming shouted loudly. Everyone in the fleet had solemn expressions. Especially the fleet from the sixth heaven, they had a nervous and anxious expression.
At this moment, they all wished to stop the giant serpent, then fight it till the end.
Even if they die, they mustn’t allow that monster to easily enter their territory.
It's a pity that Fang Yun had taken the lead this time. He had given up on fighting against them and even often changed courses, making it almost impossible for them to catch him.
Soon after, Fang Yun and the giant turtle reached the boundary between the sixth and seventh heaven.
