----------------------
After reporting his coordinates to Lu Ming, Gu Li breathed a sigh of relief. He naturally didn’t want to die.
After these two behemoths chased his fleet again, he started feeling despair.
Fortunately, at this critical moment, their reinforcements have finally arrived in the seventh heaven and they are coming.
"Send a message to the fleet immediately. We must hold on for half an hour, the reinforcements are coming."
Gu Li shouted loudly at the people in the control center. With their current state, they certainly will not last so long in the face of the attack of these two behemoths.
But if they flee while holding formation and fighting with these two behemoths. The situation will be very different, they will last much longer.
Now, the fleet needs a backbone more than ever, that’s why Gu Li decided to pass the news to the fleet.
"What, our reinforcements are coming?!"
“We’re Saved!”
As expected, flames of hope sprang up in the eyes of the crew after receiving the news.
"Brothers, cheer up!"
The captains of almost every ship started cheering their crew.
"Commander Gu Li said that the reinforcement will arrive in about half an hour!"
"Everyone holds on! as long as the reinforcements arrive, we will be rescued."
"Commander Gu Li said that there are ships from the fourth heaven amongst the reinforcements this time!"
After receiving the news, the fleet finally started restoring orders. With hope, every ship took position and restored the defensive formation, simultaneously defending against the giant serpent and counter-attacking while retreating.
In the distance, Fang Yun keenly noticed the fleet’s change. A gleam of light flashed across his giant eyes.
"The fleet’s spirit has been restored."
Fang Yun muttered internally. He started wondering what could have caused this change and quickly came up with a guess.
"It seems that they have found a backbone or reliance. What is it? Another reinforcement?"
The only reason why this fleet could resurrect from the brink of despair is that another wave of reinforcements is coming, but Fang Yun didn’t care. Anyway, it won’t be any different from before, the new reinforcement will end in his stomach as well.
They will only provide him with bio-energy and help him increase his reputation value.
However, to be on the safe side, he invaded the network system of one of the battleships to detect the precise news.
"The reinforcements will arrive here in half an hour?"
"Furthermore, amongst the incoming fleet, there are powerful ships from the fourth heaven?"
Fang Yun was very surprised. No wonder they became so excited. The reinforcements are very prepared this time.
"The fourth heaven?"
Fang Yun was curious. He didn't know much about this heaven, because there was little information about it in the seventh heaven archives.
They have very little contact with it.
However, according to the information he gathered, this heaven is much stronger and much more advanced than the fifth heaven. It’s on a whole other level. Fang Yun looked solemn and excited at the thought of fighting against such a behemoth.
"In this case, I should quickly deal with this fleet first."
Murderous intentions flashed across Fang Yun’s heart. He launched a mad attack at the allied fleet. He didn’t even consider defense this time.
"Damn it, why did this monster become so aggressive?"
In the control center of the distant command ship. Gu Li watched the giant serpent suddenly go mad. It didn’t even bother to dodge their attacks anymore, jumping around and launching various destructive attacks, destroying and devouring countless spaceships.
"It seems that this giant serpent is aware of something."
Gu Li quickly analyzed the cause of the matter. He had an extremely gloomy expression. For a wise and experienced creature like the giant serpent, it shouldn’t be hard for it to realize something from the actions of the fleet.
It had experienced an unknown number of battles after all.
"Gu Li, how is your situation now?"
A few moments later, Lu Ming’s figure appeared in the holographic projection again. He decided to periodically check on the situation of the allied fleet to prevent accidents.
"What happened? Has the situation deteriorated?"
Seeing the gloomy expression on Gu Li’s face, Lu Ming immediately asked with an expression of concern.
"Gu Li, hold one for a while, we’re rushing over."
“Lu Ming, hurry up. If you come too late, you will collect our destroyed battleships at most!"
Even inside the hyperspace, speed is limited. Without sufficient strong materials and energy defenses, a certain spaceship can only maintain a certain speed limit, exceeding that limit will cause certain damage to the ships.
"Gu Li… It seems that I have to hurry up."
Lu Ming shook his head. He naturally can’t watch his best friend die like this.
Although exceeding the speed limit will damage the ship, it doesn't mean that the damage will be great enough to scrap the ship. It just means reducing its service time.
This time, they are mainly relying on the fourth heaven ships, so it doesn’t matter if the rest of the ships get slightly damaged.
"Lu Ming, thank you so much..."
Gu Li stood in front of the projection and expressed his gratitude to Lu Ming. However, his expression changed abruptly, forcing him to swallow the rest of the words he intended to say.
A look of horror appeared on Gu Li’s face.
"Gu Li! Gu Li!!!"
Seeing the changes on Gu Li’s face, Lu Ming immediately knew that things were bad. He shouted loudly at Gu Li, trying to draw his attention.
However, Gu Li seemed frozen at that moment, his soul seemed to leave his body. He couldn’t respond to Lu Ming’s shouts at all.
At this moment, Gu Li could only watch the giant serpent on the holographic screen.
He stared right at those continent-sized eyes and at the approaching scarlet mouth. In his last moments of life, he couldn’t say anything in the end, leaving life with wide eyes frozen in fear.
Their command ships had no time to dodge. It was quickly swallowed by the giant serpent, unable to provoke any wave in the end.
