--------------------
Gu Li was shocked upon finding the two behemoths.
"Damn it, when did these two monsters catch up?"
Inside the control center of the command ship. Gu Li felt that his heart was about to jump out from his chest.
When he left before, he checked behind for a long time. Just as he was about to sigh in relief, thinking that they escaped a catastrophe, the two behemoths suddenly appeared behind.
"Damn it!"
Gu Li cursed, he knew how ruthless and bloodthirsty the giant serpent is, so he couldn’t help but produce a trace of fear.
"Commander, that giant serpent is starting to attack our fleet."
A soldier suddenly reported to Gu Li, seeing that his fears came true, Gu Li’s face immediately sank
"Switch the picture to the attacked position immediately!"
The scene on the huge holographic screen ahead immediately changed. On the screen, there was a gigantic serpent, and it was slaughtering the ships on the edge of the fleet.
All of the ships in that area tried to quickly escape. No one tried to fight against the giant serpent anymore.
“Boom! Boom!”
Most of the ships were either eaten, destroyed, or escaped. No one resisted because they thought that it was meaningless.
Under the terrifying attack of the giant serpent, no one was able to resist.
"Commander, none of those ships obeyed our orders."
In the control center of the command ship, a soldier reported to Gu Li.
Gu Li previously passed an order to the rear of the fleet to organize formation and steadily attack while retreating. This might not stop the giant serpent, but it will delay it for a while, giving them more time to escape.
Unfortunately, no one heeded his orders.
This situation irritated Gu Li very much. He knew very well that if everyone doesn’t unite and obey orders, they will face a definite quick death.
If they keep the formation, even if they can’t repel the giant serpent, they can at least survive for a while...
"These idiots!"
Gu Li cursed angrily.
The moment his curse sounded, a soldier ahead said to him.
"Commander, our reinforcements are coming!"
"Huh?"
After hearing the words of the soldier, Gu Li’s eyebrows twitched as he said.
"Reinforcements? Well, connect me with them now."
After a while, the projection in front of Gu Li changed, and a figure on the screen. Gu Li’s eyes immediately lit up after seeing that figure.
Because the person who appeared on the holographic projection is his friend, Lu Ming.
"Lu Ming, you are the leader of the team this time?",
Gu Li was very surprised upon seeing the commander’s badge and uniform on Lu Ming’s body.
Upon hearing Gu Li’s exclamation, Lu Ming nodded and said with a smile on his face. "Gu Li, I came to see your embarrassment. Tell me, how is the feeling of being teased like a dog?”
"Don't laugh. I’m miserable enough."
Gu Li smiled bitterly,
"Lu Ming, my troubles are very serious. The situation might be far worse than your imagination."
"What?”
Lu Ming was surprised. When he was appointed as the commander of this support fleet, he had received some news about the battle situation, but these pieces of news are very outdated.
He naturally knew that Gu Li’s fleet was at a huge disadvantage due to the giant serpent guerilla warfare, but he didn’t know that the situation greatly deteriorated.
They are chased around like a dog now.
“Lu Ming...", Gu Li had an extremely serious expression as he said to Lu Ming on the projection.
“I’ll be straightforward, do you have a ship from the fourth heaven in your fleet?"
"The giant serpent has grown much stronger. Our fifth heaven battleships are unable to cope with it. We need higher-quality ships, numbers don’t work anymore”
After pausing for a moment, he continued.
“Our fleet has less than 200,000 ships remaining, and we are being chased around by the giant serpent at this moment."
Upon saying this, he smiled wryly. He can’t even laugh with this friend of his now.
Thinking back to his glorious time in the fifth heaven, he hunted down countless pollutants, including many level 4 pollutants. He even cooperated with other generals to hunt a new level 5 pollutant one time. That was his most glorious record.
It’s a pity that he is extremely weak and helpless in the face of this giant serpent.
"This giant serpent is very likely a top-level 5 pollutant. It might have even reached a new level..."
Gu Li stared at Lu Ming on the projection with a solemn expression.
"It might have reached level 6."
"Hiss!"
Lu Ming took a sharp breath after hearing Gu Li speculation. He didn't doubt Gu Li’s guess, because he knew exactly how powerful is his fleet and command ability, but even such a powerful man is helpless in the face of the giant serpent.
"To be honest, due to the giant serpent’s stealth and escape ability, I couldn’t use many of my hunting formations or strategies, greatly compromising my fleet’s combat power."
Gu Li felt very helpless and powerless. He has great command ability but he couldn’t use it. The most important point is that his fleet doesn’t have enough attack power to fatally wound the giant serpent.
In other words, even if the giant serpent allows them to attack it without resisting, they wouldn’t be able to injure it quicker than its regeneration speed.
Under such circumstances, no matter what battle formation or strategy they use, it won't be effective. This is one of the most important reasons why they were defeated so thoroughly.
"Yes, Lu Ming, remember! The regeneration ability and defense of this serpent are extremely powerful, much more so than was stated in the records. Furthermore, it’s in a constant state of growth and evolution. I felt like it became stronger with each battle."
Gu Li warned Lu Ming of the abilities of the giant serpent again.
Hearing this, Lu Ming said,
"Gu Li, don’t worry, I will be careful. Send your coordinates now, we will come to support you immediately."
"Don't worry, there is a battleship from the fourth heaven in our fleet this time. That monster won’t be able to escape easily this time"
"Okay, that’s good."
Gu Li nodded and sent their coordinates to Lu Ming.
He didn't think that Lu Ming's fleet could kill the giant serpent, because its escape and stealth ability is super-class, but as long as they can trap it in the seventh heaven, it’s enough.
Because even if the seventh heaven is destroyed, it won't be their turn to suffer.
Most importantly, the destruction of a heaven is an extremely critical matter. The highest heavens will definitely intervene.
