-----------------------
Guthro was really frightened. Without any visible attack, the suicide fleet instantly lost its combat capability and stopped silently in space, allowing the great serpent to easily pass and continue chasing them.
Immediately afterward, the soldiers in the control center informed Guthro that the soldiers in the suicide fleet lost all their vital signs.
This situation was completely beyond Guthro's expectations. He thought that that fleet should be able to hold the great serpent for a while. After all, the great serpent shouldn’t remain at its peak after releasing such a powerful attack.
After the calculation of their supercomputer, Guthro roughly understood the previous attack of the great serpent. It used some kind of ability to transform into a black hole.
He will never forget how the great serpent instantly destroyed a large number of their spaceships, breaking the balance of their formation and causing an even bigger disaster.
"Order Yuli, Kevin, and Dorsey to go and stop that monster!"
Guthro roared loudly. The three people he mentioned were all experienced commanders with a squadron of 8000 battleships under them.
After these three fleets were left behind, the remnant fleet suddenly shrank a lot. Guthro didn’t care about this, he continued staring at the projection in front of him unblinkingly.
There was the image of the three fleets he just dispatched on the holographic screen.
A few seconds later, the three fleets and the giant serpent collided. There was a fierce exchange of fire between each other for almost a minute before the great serpent was able to pass through that fleet again.
Of course, this time he wasn’t able to destroy the entire fleet. He was only able to destroy a part of it.
However, the purpose of these three fleets was to stop Fang Yun, but now, he passed by them and continued chasing the main fleet. It could be said that they failed their mission.
Seeing that the giant serpent was chasing them again, Guthro's face became as black as the bottom of a pot. This time, he didn’t send any more suicide fleet.
The remaining spaceships are majorly damaged. They are constantly falling behind while fleeing. Not to mention stopping the great serpent, they can’t even protect themselves. Only a few intact spaceships remain, but they are left to protect the command ship.
"What should we do this time? What should I do?"
Inside the control center, Linna was crying with fear and horror. She thought that she would be very angry at the great serpent because it killed a lot of her compatriots.
She wished nothing more than for the great serpent to get the punishment it deserves.
However, at the moment, she could only feel deep and unspeakable fear. She couldn’t even maintain her hatred at the moment.
This beauty reporter’s face was filled with tears due to excessive fear and terror. If she was given another chance, she would never come to this cursed place even if she is killed.
"Master Guthro, Master Guthro!"
Suddenly, Linna yelled at Guthro.
"The serpent is catching up again. You! Order the rest of the battleships to stop it!"
Seeing the giant serpent rushing towards their ship, Linna immediately collapsed. In the face of death, few people can remain calm, and a naive, spoiled lady like her isn’t such a person.
Previously, before they joined the remnant fleet of Mike, Nadu, and Pound, she constantly urged Guthro to quickly support them, hoping to save these brave soldiers’ lives.
Unfortunately, when her life was threatened, she didn’t hesitate to urge Guthro to sacrifice his soldiers to give them time to escape.
"We have no manpower to send."
Guthro sighed and said, "If we transfer the remaining spaceships to stop the great serpent, they might not be able to stop him."
"In the end, what would remain will only be our spaceship, and if the great serpent keeps chasing, that means almost certain death."
"This..."
Linna couldn't speak again after hearing Guthro’s words. Fear bubbled in her heart, making her regret every decision she made that led her to this moment.
Now she lost even the ability to speak due to excessive fear.
"No...no..."
Linna hugged her head, her spirit completely collapsed.
Guthro didn't care about Linna, she is the least of his concerns now. He stared closely at the holographic projection in front of him. Watching the great serpent getting closer and closer. In the end, he sighed and said.
"Stop."
"All the ships, along with the command ship, prepare for battle!"
Guthro shouted this sentence loudly. He knows very well that they can’t escape.
Since they can’t escape, it's better to fight the giant serpent to the end and die with dignity.
All the spaceships stopped at this moment, then turned around and faced the great serpent.
They aren’t cowards, rather than being destroyed while escaping, they’d rather fight to the death with this monster!
"Command Guthro, why, why stop... Why did you stop?!" Linna asked Guthro hysterically, she looked on the verge of collapse.
Guthro said coldly. "We can't escape."
After speaking, he ignored this Linna.
The remaining spaceships lined up at this moment, then bravely faced the incoming giant serpent. After it entered the firing range, all battleships didn’t hesitate to attack.
Laser beams and explosive artillery flew out from these spaceships, flying towards the great serpent.
The lacking number of battleships has caused the density of these attacks to be relatively scattered. Their attack range is also very small compared to the previous large fleet. Therefore, the giant serpent was able to dodge these laser beams with relative ease.
Flashing away, the giant serpent instantly appeared next to Guthro’s remaining fleet. It launched a rain of attacks using its tyrannical body, destroying one battleship after the other.
This fleet is still too miserable because most of the remaining spaceships are more or less damaged. Many of them can't even activate their energy shield, relying purely on the defense of the ship’s materials.
Spaceships like this are very fragile in front of Fang Yun. Under his planetary-mass tail, flying at nearly the speed of light, they couldn’t even stand one blow. This made these soldiers extremely desperate. Even some soldiers collapsed mentally and drove their battleship into the depth of the universe in an attempt to flee.
Fang Yun didn't care about these deserters, because their fate is already sealed.
Flying with such a broken spaceship in the depth of the universe, far away from living areas is like suicide.
In the end, only the command ship remained in front of Fang Yun.
Fang Yun stared at the command ship in front of him with squinted eyes. This spaceship is about fifteen kilometers long. This is a relatively big ship in the battleship-class, but it’s still one of the most agile ships Fang Yun ever dealt with, signifying its power and quality.
The entire spaceship was wrapped in an energy shield, confronting Fang Yun with all of its weapons activated and ready to fire.
This is the most powerful spaceship in the fifth heaven fleet and also the most powerful battleship Fang Yun ever faced.
At the moment, Fang Yun, who was confronting this ship that was less than one-hundredth of his size, looked solemn.
