"Gulp."
In the control center of the Fifth Heaven fleet’s Command Ship, a nervous soldier swallowed his saliva. Everyone looked sluggish, unable to accept what just happened.
They all did not expect that the situation will develop in such a direction.
A super fleet of 400,000 battleships was almost destroyed in an instant. Most of their battleships were wiped out.
The remaining spaceships, after a momentary daze, quickly assembled towards the fifth heaven fleet’s command ship, surrounding it.
Most of the remaining spaceships are those of the fifth heaven fleet. Firstly, the ships of this fleet have the highest quality. Furthermore, they were stationed at the outermost periphery, hence they weren’t greatly affected.
"Commander, what should we do now?"
Someone suddenly asked Guthro, but Guthro was still in a trance even now. He didn't think about this matter at all, so when he was asked such a question, he was stunned. A few moments later, he took a deep breath and said.
"We are leaving this place! The abilities of the great serpent are beyond what we expected.“
After saying this, the soldiers in the control center immediately controlled the command ship to turn around and leave.
The other spaceships also started moving, also planning to leave.
Now their remaining fleet is completely unable to continue this battle. After all, although they still have tens of thousands of battleships, each of which is a high-level one, most of them are either short on energy or are damaged. It’s a blessing to be able to work. It’s hard to expect them to continue fighting.
"The... the giant serpent is that powerful?"
When the fifth heaven fleet’s command ship turned around and left, the war correspondent Linna also came back to her senses and asked Guthro with wide eyes.
Hearing this, Guthro was silent for a moment before saying.
"This time it’s my fault."
Upon saying this, an extremely heavy expression appeared on his face. He knew that he can't escape the fate of being impeached this time.
And he doesn’t intend to refute or resist, because the results of this battle caused him to feel very guilty. In a flash, more than 300,000 spaceships were destroyed due to his mistake.
It’s 300,000 battleships! Each battleship can be considered an advanced one in their respective heaven, with hundreds of elite soldiers on board, but they were all turned into ashes!
"Haah... I didn't expect that that monster could destroy so many spaceships in an instant."
Guthro closed his eyes, if it wasn't for Fang Yun to destroy more than a hundred thousand ships in that instant, the stability of the formation won’t be broken, leading to the subsequent destruction.
They knew too little about the great serpent, including its skills and abilities, causing them to suffer such a heaven loss this time.
Guthro was very depressed, he looked almost dozens of years older. He slowly walked to the command seat, then sat quietly, his back looked very lonely and hunched in the eyes of his subordinates.
This battle is a devastating blow to him.
“......”
Linna looked at Guthro quietly. She opened her mouth to comfort him, but couldn’t say anything in the end.
Suddenly, a melodious song sounded from her watch. Someone is calling. She quickly turned on the watch, after which a projection appeared in front of her.
A middle-aged man standing upright in the center of the projected screen. He looked at Linna through the screen and asked with a deep voice.
"Linna, what's the situation now?"
This middle-aged man is called Lin. The chairman of Linna’s radio station. The communication was broken before, resulting in a broadcasting accident. He can only contact Linna through her personal watch now.
At this moment, the soldiers in the control center are not only controlling the command ship to fly through space, but also checking its damage degree, doing short-term repair, and also reporting the situation to their superiors.
On the other side, Guthro's watch also rang. His superiors asked him about the cause, course, and result of the incident.
"Chairman, our side has suffered very heavy losses. This is due to a particularly powerful ability that the great serpent showcased."
Linna summarized the process and briefly described what happened. On the other side, Guthro also reported the situation to his leader, except that his report was much more detailed.
"Leader, that's what happened. I have a unshirkable responsibility for this incident. After returning this time, I will accept whatever punishments I’m given."
After expressing his guilt to his leader, Guthro ended the communication and continued sitting on his chair blankly.
“Roar!!!”
Suddenly, an angry roar sounded from the speakers on the control board. The originally listless Guthro immediately resurrected. He got up and walked to the main projection screen. On which he saw a behemoth chasing their fleet.
"Damn it, that monster actually chased after us!"
Guthro gritted his teeth as he watched, wishing to get on a space fighter and rush out to fight for 300 rounds against that despicable serpent.
It's just that he knows very well that this isn’t the time for him to vent his anger.
"Commander, what should we do now?" a soldier asked Guthro.
Guthro took a deep breath, then said, "Give Li Hua the order to drag out the giant serpent."
The order was quickly passed on. This almost like a death sentence to the selected fleet, but they didn’t even hesitate. Only a small team was separated from the large fleet. It rushed out from the fleet, turned around, then headed towards the giant serpent, launching a barrage of attacks on it.
“Whoosh!!!”
The giant serpent swiftly moved around, using the "space barrier" to deflect most of the attacks, and using “Life Plunder” at the same time, taking out the vitality of all the soldiers in the fleet.
All of the spaceships ceased their fierce attack.
At the next moment, the giant serpent opened his mouth and swallowed all the spaceships in his way, then continued pursuing the big fleet. As for the remaining spaceships, he is planning to leave them here for the moment. He will come back later to eat them.
"What?"
Guthro looked speechlessly as the small fleet he intended to sacrifice was instantly destroyed.
The situation is spiraling more and more out of control.
