Chapter 55: Arcane Arts
🕑 Added 2021-03-07 14:37:31 +0000 UTCAfter ten years of development, this new movie industry has reached maturity in the Starland Kingdom.
One month after the movie industry started in Hailan City, its peers appeared, but their quality was so low that they couldn't even compete with Shillong's movies.
After another year of development, Andre has opened movie theaters in the surrounding three cities. The new market and the excessive profit caused this industry to initially enter the eyes of the public.
Other chambers of commerce were jealous of this kind of profit, and naturally, some people joined in, causing the movie industry to usher in rapid development.
It took another year for the Soderbergh Chamber of Commerce to meet its opponents. The directors trained by other chambers of commerce were close to maturity.
In the next few years, the movie business quickly spread across the entire Starland kingdom.
Competition has become fierce, but Shillong's movies still have an advantage.
Why?
Because his movie is a big production!
There are dragons! high-level warriors! Senior and master mages!
Ordinary people can’t invite these high-level professionals and powerful dragons!
Even the powerful Chambers of Commerce can only invite high-level professionals such as high-level warriors and mages at most, but the fees of these high-level professionals are very expensive.
Furthermore, their recording efficiency is far from that of dragons.
If they take it seriously, dragons can finish recording a movie in just 3 to 5 days.
On the other hand, It takes more than ten days for an ordinary team to record a simple movie. Those that have stricter requirements on the environment take even longer.
This makes their shooting costs more expensive!
Moreover, in the movie industry of the Soderberg chamber of commerce, you’ll see all types of dragons!
Brass Dragon, Copper Dragon, Silver Dragon, Golden Dragon, Bronze Dragon!
Five metal dragons! An existence that most people have never seen! How can other chambers of commerce compare to this sky-high standard?
Hence, in the movie industry, the Soderberg Chamber of Commerce is still the leader in the entire Starland Kingdom, even now.
No matter how many chambers of commerce make movies, it is difficult to compete with Soderberg.
Many lunatics wanted to copy the Soderberg Chamber of commerce and tried to invite dragons to do some big productions!
But the result was rather miserable. These guys couldn't find the good metal dragons and went to look for the evil dragons. As a result, both they and their money were gone.
At this time, Shillong, Arman, and Andre can all be considered to be the richest of the metal dragon clan.
Counting the money he made by broadcasting movies on Dragon Island and the money he got from the Soderberg Chamber of Commerce, he has nearly 200,000 gold coins.
Arman has fifty thousand gold coins, all of which were given to him by Shillong.
Andre also has close to one hundred thousand gold coins.
After Shillong from up from his last dragon sleep, he discovered a strange situation when he met Andre for the first time.
There seem to be some problems with his consciousness!
He has become a little concerned about gold coins!
After receiving the dividend at that time, he originally wanted to distribute half of it to Arman directly, but for some reason, he suddenly felt reluctant.
At that time, Shillong looked at the gold coin with a dumbfounded expression for a long time. He spent a lot of effort to suppress this reluctance before giving a part of the gold coins to Arman!
Afterward, Shillong just made an expansion plan for Andre and didn’t bother to shoot movies anymore.
First of all, he asked Andre to shoot the movie himself, then train some excellent directors based on his experience. After all, the movies that Shillong made have almost been broadcasted to death.
His dragon sleep will last longer and longer in the future. If they just rely on Shillong, problems will arise sooner or later.
Regarding this proposal, At first, Andre expressed his desire to take Shillong to the main continent to record the movies and train the directors.
He also patted his chest and guaranteed to protect his safety.
However, this proposal was immediately rejected by Shillong. What a joke! He is only thirty years old now!
‘I am still young! My size is only similar to Kama, and facing dragons of similar size, I will be in danger!’
What if a group of five-colour dragons at the level of Kama comes to besiege him as soon as he leaves Dragon Island?
Wouldn’t that be bad luck?
‘You Andre is not even a legendary dragon! Who will protect who?’
Haven't you read novels? As long as the protagonist appears on the stage, there will be someone who is stronger than him or almost as strong as him coming to fight against him!
‘So I am not safe yet!’
‘I need at least another ten years to wait!
Only then, Shillong felt that he will be qualified to walk on the main continent with confidence.
For Shillong's caution, Andre expressed his understanding. In the end, the two dragons talked about the next development for a day, then they separated.
Shillong's days seemed to be boring again, but Arman never felt bored.
He is very happy every day. After learning a fire spell from his mother Viola a few days ago, he hid in his nest every day, and melted silver coins!
Why did he melt silver coins? Of course, it's to brighten his scales!
As long as he feels that one of his scales seemed dull, he wiped it with the silver metal liquid, turning it into sparkling silver, reflecting sun rays!
From then on he fell into narcissism.
Furthermore, perhaps because of too much money, Arman was very extravagant. He spent thousands of silver coins, melted the silver coins into hot liquid, smeared them on the wall of his lair, then installed several exquisite chandeliers on the ceiling.
The entire chandelier is on 24 hours a day, causing the cave to be shining with silver.
It can almost blind people's eyes!
Since Arman had been spending almost the entire day in his lair, Shillong felt a bit bored.
He wants to develop games.
But technology does not allow it!
He hasn't had any clue yet, because he hasn't been out before, and he still doesn't know what the outside world is like.
It’s impossible to effectively understand the outside world by relying on his inheritance memory and Andre's narration.
Game is something that Shillong must develop. A world without games, is there any need for it?
This is a boring world. The wise dragons must stand up to change it!
And obviously, Shillong is such a dragon. Hence the mission of changing the world fell on his shoulders.
He decided to be a wise research dragon.
To fulfill his goals, he asked his mother Viola, who is the best arcanist on the island?
Her answer is Kama Dorn.
‘Ah! It’s that old gold dragon. The most ancient dragon I have ever seen!’
Shillong expressed to his mother that he wanted to worship Kama as a teacher and learn arcane arts.
Viola was very happy upon hearing this. She didn’t hesitate to take him to Kama Dorn.
The apprenticeship went smoothly, and Kama was pleased to accept Shillong as his disciple.
He secretly made up his mind. While teaching Shillong, he must continue to do ideological work for him!
The study process is boring and long. Since that day, Shillong has been studying with Kama.
He had been studying with Kama for several months.
On this day, Shillong came to the edge of the beach on Dragon Island.
Whilst in his human form, he squatted down and stared at a small lobster.
This lobster is about the size of an adult's palm. There was a faint red light flashing on its body. Shillong clumped a wooden stick with a diameter of a centimeter in its large pliers.
The lobster applied a little bit of power, instantly pinching off the stick.
The lobster didn't stop even after breaking the stick. It seemed to be manic, frantically waving its claws. The sand and gravel on the ground were quickly dug up by it.
"Yes! After applying the giant force technique and fanaticism technique on this lobster, the wooden stick that it couldn’t even damage was instantly clamped off!"
Shillong squatted and looked at the lobster with a bored expression. He was doing experiments to test the strength increase and behavior of a lobster after getting a spell boost.
