Chapter 56: The Attack of the Benthic Devil Fish
🕑 Added 2021-03-26 20:51:52 +0000 UTCThe result is not bad, this lobster is definitely the overlord of its clan now
It showed its strength vigorously, messing up the surrounding environment and creating many small craters. After ten minutes, the lobster suddenly stopped moving and laid motionless on the spot.
It's dead!
This lobster has been strengthened to a degree beyond what its body can withstand.
The increased strength of these two spells is not a percentage, but a fixed value. When this fixed value is much larger than the power of the strengthened object, its body will be damaged to various degrees. The worst-case scenario is death and this is exactly what happened to this lobster.
It’s like stuffing the power of a giant lion in the body of a palm-sized lobster, it’s no surprise that it died.
Shillong directly stuffed it into his mouth and chewed.
His stomach can transform almost anything into energy.
Just when he turned around to go back and continue learning spells with Kama, the sea suddenly started to rise.
The tide rose rapidly at a speed visible to the naked eye, quickly flooding the edge of the coast, then moving towards Shillong on the shore.
Seeing this, Shillong immediately flew off the ground.
The sea is still rising wildly.
The entire island was being swallowed by the sea, and strange-looking lobsters, crabs, sea snakes, and other sea creatures suddenly appeared.
They surged towards the entire island.
’Something is wrong!’
Just as Shillong had this thought, Kama Dom quickly flew out from his cave and solemnly looked at the sea.
"They’re here again! Don't these guys know when to give up?"
"Teacher. What's going on?" Shillong flew to Kama and asked.
"It's the benthic devil fish!" Kama said.
"What kind of monster is this? How dare they attack our Dragon Island?" Shillong asked with wide eyes.
’Isn’t the dragon clan the top predator standing on top of all creatures? Why are they suddenly provoked?’
"This is a race destroyed by the gods. They ruled the world in a distant age. They are the rulers of the sea and possess the ability to manipulate sea monsters”
”These guys are lunatics! They have been attacking our Dragon Island since thousands of years ago, but each battle ends with their defeat. However, they never gave up, launching an attack every few decades. The time has arrived again for their attack "
The sea was still rising and soon flooded the outermost forest.
Some sea monsters with a size of 4 to 5 meters have emerged!
They started wantonly destroying everything around them.
"Teacher, shouldn’t we stop these sea monsters?" Shillong couldn't help but ask.
"These sea monsters are all controlled by the benthic devil fish. They don't have much wisdom. They are just cannon fodder." Kama shook his head,
"The other dragons on the island will handle it. My task is to find the benthic devil fish and kill or repel it, only in this way can this attack be resolved."
After speaking, he started flapping his wings, flying over the sea while carefully looking below.
He launched a series of powerful spells into the sea without caring about consumption.
Shillong hurriedly followed behind him. During the flight, he didn’t forget to use his new abilities. He kept a distance of 30 meters away from the sea in order to offer himself the time to react to any attack from below.
Seeing a lot of sea monsters emerging from the water, he used gravity attraction to pull them out.
Generally, small fishes and shrimps about two or three meters long can be directly sucked out of the sea using his gravitational force.
However, as long as the opponent’s size exceeds 4 meters in length and 5 tons in weight, Shillong can't pull them out, at least he can’t do it in his human form.
He can only cause them to madly tremble. Their crazy struggle and flopping made it very hard to pull them out from the water.
Karma naturally saw what Shillong did, but didn't say much.
The two dragons continued flying around.
Shillong has seen many dragons attacking the sea monsters in the sea.
At present, these sea monsters with a size of up to five meters are not the opponents of the dragons at all. These dragons spewed flames, frost, and acid from their mouths.
As long as the sea monster touches any of these attacks, it will be instantly killed.
The dragons either fanned their wings and swept these monsters into the sky, or pounced on them like eagles and eat them as a quick snack.
Shillong looked around and felt that these sea monsters didn't seem to attack the island at all, but instead seemed to deliver meals to the dragons!
The gap in individual combat power is too big!
The sea was still rising, and it soon flooded the shallower parts of the island, and the size of the sea monsters is still getting bigger.
Several seven to eight meters long "big sea monsters" emerged one after another.
This size is already comparable or even bigger to the young dragons on the island.
Some young dragons started to struggle against a large number of monsters.
Shillong saw a young dragon descend from a high altitude, grabbing a seven meters long sea monster, then tried to pull it out of the sea
However, the sea monster madly struggled, it held tight onto the ground and directly fixed the dragon on the sea surface, making it very hard for the young dragon to pull it out.
Unless the young dragon can exert a pulling power of several dozen tons, it won’t be able to pull out the sea monster and the ground beneath it.
Several shadows suddenly appeared on the sea.
At this moment, Kama suddenly stopped searching for the benthic devil fish. The magic light on his body surged. He completely an incantation of twenty or thirty syllables in just a second.
On the shadowed sea below the young dragon, many three and four-meter-long hideous sea monsters rushed out, but before they could attack the young dragon, the sea began to riot. A white fog suddenly covered a large area of the sea.
The white fog is like a whirlpool, with giant ice blades emerging from it. A range of almost 100 meters was filled with these ice blades, they are like a meat grinder, crazily spinning around, tearing apart the sea monsters like tomatoes in a blender.
The young dragon also took this opportunity to bite the sea monster he had caught. He vigorously incited his wings, breaking the stalemate and pulling out the sea monster out of the water.
Then the little dragon gratefully glanced at Kama Dorn.
"Children! Do things within your ability! You are the future of the metal dragon clan, you can't have any accidents here!" Kama gently said to the young dragon.
After hearing this, the young dragon lowered his head, a little embarrassed. He was really careless just now. He shouldleave the big sea monsters to the bigger dragons.
The dragon nodded quickly, then lifted off and started looking for a more suitable target.
"Advanced spell: All-Seeing Demon Eye!"
The next moment, Kama casted a spell again, causing a big eyeball with a diameter of two meters to appear in front of him out of thin air.
This demon eye was purple, with almond-shaped vertical pupils shining with light and darkness. After it appeared, Kama closed his eyes.
The demon eyes started scanning the sea around.
After about a few minutes, the demon eye disappeared and Kama opened his eyes.
He frowned and said,
"These guys have learnedfrom their past mistakes! They hid directly under the island! Ordering the sea monsters on the island destroy freely! It seems that repelling themwon’t be as simple as the previous times!"
After speaking, he flew one or two kilometers inland, then used an amplifying spell to shout.
"Old guys! I need your strength!"
The sound spread out in layers, spreading across the entire Dragon Island. A few moments later, true dragons with a height of 20 meters gathered.
There are more than a dozen of them. After these dragons arrived, a golden dragon said,
"I just used the exploration spell to scan the area around, but I didn't find the benthic devil fish! Have you found anything?"
"No! This attack seems to be different from the past!"
"No matter what! These bastards are here to die! They simply can't understand the difference between low lifeforms like them and is!"
A group of dragons discussed the matter.
