However, the end result was a big shock to them. The news of Guthro’s fleet destruction has already spread across the four heavens.
They also quickly learned that Guthro's army was almost completely wiped out and that the plan to hunt the great serpent has also failed.
So these soldiers are all extremely grateful. Fortunately, they followed Otto, a cautious and stable man. He was the one that prevented them from joining that big fleet.
"Hoof..."
Otto heaved a sigh of relief. Even he was very surprised; Although he had the feeling that Guthro’s fleet might be unable to deal with the great serpent, the news of their destruction still greatly shocked him.
“Commander Otto, what should we do now?" An officer suddenly asked.
After a moment of daze, Otto was about to respond, but suddenly, his watch started ringing. Signaling for the soldiers to be quiet, he accepted the call.
A holographic screen appeared in front of him, on which a sturdy man appeared.
This figure in a military uniform looked seriously at Otto through the holographic screen.
When Otto saw the man, his body immediately straightened up as he saluted respectfully.
"Sir!"
The other soldiers in the control center looked at the figure in the projection very solemnly and respectfully, then saluted him.
The man on the holographic projection didn’t talk nonsense with Otto but directly asked him.
"Otto, what's the situation on your side now?"
"Sir! Report!"
Otto said in a deep voice, "We did not meet with commander Guthro's. Now our fleet is on the east side of the eighth cosmos. The coordinates here are..."
After reporting their precise coordinates, Otto asked the general again.
"Sir, Is there any problem with our action of not converging with Guthro’s fleet?"
All the soldiers in the control center were stunned after hearing Otto’s question. Their eyes all focused on the man on the holographic screen, waiting for his answer.
Upon hearing this, the man pondered then said,
"Otto, you did the right thing.” Upon saying this, a trace of fear appeared on the man’s face.
"The power of that serpent-pollutant... … is beyond our imagination."
"We got secret information not long ago. We completely lost contact with Guthro. We are unable to contact even the other spaceships in his fleet. I’m afraid..."
“That's why I said you did the right thing."
The middle-aged man looked at Otto and said
"It’s very possible that the huge fleet sent to hunt the great serpent had been annihilated."
"This..."
Upon hearing such shocking news, Otto froze for a while. He knew the power of the great serpent and he was even prepared to hear about the failure of the fleet.
However, what he never expected was that that giant fleet would be completely annihilated. Even Guthro’s command ship couldn’t escape.
"Return to the headquarters immediately. After you come back, you will tell me about the more detailed information."
The middle-aged man gave this order to the dazed Otto.
Otto naturally has no reason to refuse. He also hopes to get more information from the middle-aged man after he goes back.
"Damn, it's a big trouble this time."
Otto sighed after turning off the communication.
He knew that this time things would be very troublesome. He isn’t sure about the next actions of the three heavens, but they will certainly not give up on the hunt, especially after such a large loss
In fact, they have no choice. First, it’s a matter of reputation. Second, the casualties this time are too big, especially since each one of these dead soldiers is the elite of the elites. It can be said that each soldier in that mega fleet is a one in a ten thousand or even one in million.
Furthermore, this incident caused great unrest in their hometown, and the best way to calm it is to hunt the great serpent. There is also the factor of the great serpent itself.
They are all very aware that high-level pollutants are amazingly intelligent and very vengeful. Even if they don’t continue hunting the great serpent, the great serpent won’t leave them alone.
It’s very possible that the great serpent has targeted them, and is planning to get revenge on them.
Letting such a dangerous creature with animosity for them enter their heaven is undoubtedly an unimaginable disaster for their citizens.
Therefore, almost all of the people with a certain degree of power hope to get rid of the great serpent before it enters their hometown.
"I hope that giant serpent will leave our eighth heaven during this period."
Otto prayed internally, then said to the soldiers next to him.
"Well, everyone has heard it. The general has given us the order to retreat."
"Now let's do what the commander said."
All the soldiers looked at each other with a surprised and relieved expression, then moved towards their respective positions.
"Commander Otto, is that giant serpent that powerful?"
Suddenly, an adjutant approached Otto and said.
"Otherwise?" Otto smiled and said, "How do you think Guthro's fleet collapsed?"
"I just felt that it’s incredible." The adjutant sighed and said,
"Unexpectedly, a creature of this level has appeared in our small eighth heaven."
"By the way, thinking about it, the giant serpent didn’t deliberately attack the forces of our eighth heaven."
The adjutant hesitated and said, "Maybe, launching a hunt against the great serpent is a stupid behavior."
"Some pollutants are not very bloodthirsty. They are wise creatures no less than us, acting mostly due to benefits and interests."
Otto remained silent for a moment, then said.
"No matter what is the temperament of this giant serpent, there’s no need to regret our actions. Anyway, we don’t have the ability to deal with it."
"Yeah."
The adjutant nodded heavily.
Otto walked to the side and started studying the route of travel.
At the same time, he also entered the universal network, then started looking for information about the reaction of the three heavens. As expected, some secret websites revealed some information.
This information surprised everyone.
