------------------------
While Doron eagerly watched the fight between Fang Yun and Colonel Cade’s fleet, the remaining spaceships of the vanguard fleet also carefully watched the battle.
They also retreated a bit further, for fear that the battle between the war fleet and the great serpent will affect them.
The vanguard fleet led by Commander Otto had been completely traumatized by Fang Yun. Their proud battleships are no different from paper planes in front of Fang Yun, unable to survive for even a few seconds.
The moment the investigation team headed forward, their hearts were filled with expectations, hoping that the investigation team could completely solve the giant serpent.
Otherwise, they might all die here.
Under this uneasy atmosphere, the investigation team started moving towards Fang Yun. On the other side, Fang Yun calmed down his anger after completely annihilating Harel’s team.
However, seeing the investigation team flying towards him, his anger surged again.
“Roar!”
Fang Yun released an earth-shattering howl, then took the initiative to attack. He opened his mouth and released an extremely thick laser beam towards them.
To be honest, his laser beam is also extremely powerful, but it’s far from the point where it can destroy powerful spaceships with one shot.
It was resisted solely by a single battleship at the head of the fleet.
The moment Fang Yun attacked, the investigating team on the opposite side and the rest of the spacecraft around launched a large number of laser beams towards him.
Fang Yun started dodging frantically. At the same time, within a few thousands of kilometers around him, space became distorted, deflecting all laser beams to the side and into the distant space.
“Space barrier”
“Boom! Boom! Boom!”
As Fang Yun was advancing, he kept firing laser beams and Antimatter Bombs, launching one every second, sending hundreds of them towards the opposite fleet, but he couldn’t destroy a single spaceship.
"We mustn’t allow it to get closer to us."
In the command ship. Colonel Cade frowned and said in a deep voice.
He noticed that previously, the giant serpent didn’t use that inexplicable attack until it got relatively close to Harel and his team, hence he concluded that that mysterious attack has a certain distance restriction. The only countermeasures they have now is to prevent the giant serpent from getting close to them.
"Boom!"
Suddenly, the firepower of the investigation team became more fierce. It wasn’t only the investigation team. The firepower of the Ryan and Fox team also greatly expanded.
Fang Yun faced fierce attacks from three sides. Even if he tried his best to dodge and used “Space Barrier “ to the maximum, he still sustained a lot of injuries.
This situation made him feel very uncomfortable. He couldn't move forward anymore. His body became filled with injuries, filling him with pain. Half of his tail was blown off, and there was a huge hole with a length of more than 10 kilometers, from which his organs and bones could be seen.
Endless flesh and blood flew into space.
He dodged an extremely thick laser beam, then left the attack range of the spaceships. He wandered in the distance whilst deep in his thoughts
Judging from the strength shown by this investigation team and the previous Harel, he is still far from invincible in this area.
Facing opponents of this level, he started feeling quite the difficulty. If he waited for the more powerful heavens to send troops towards him, he might really play himself to death.
"My strength is still too weak."
Fang Yun thought deeply.
"I need to become stronger, much stronger."
He desires to become stronger, become a truly undefeated creature, a star serpent, or even a cosmic serpent.
Once his body length reaches ten thousand kilometers, a hundred thousand kilometers, or even a million kilometers long serpent, he won’t need to be afraid of anyone. At that time, he can casually devour planets or even stars. He won’t even need “Annihilation Black Hole”
As Fang Yun’s emotions became agitated, his attacks started becoming more fierce.
It can be said now that both he and Colonel Cade were playing guerrilla warfare. After attacking each other and causing a certain amount of damage, they quickly retreated. Fang Yun retreated to prevent himself from getting fatally damaged, and Colonel Cade’s fleet retreated in order to distance themselves from Fang Yun.
Because this is the edge of the battlefield, their firepower could not carry out intensive and precise bursts in such a huge space, hence Fang Yun was given plenty of space to dodge.
"Commander Otto, we need your help."
Captain Cade started asking Otto for help.
"We hope you can obstruct the movements of that serpent a little bit."
In the command ship, Colonel Cade said. He was a little annoyed with the slippery actions of the giant serpent. This monster’s speed and reaction are too high.
Its guerrilla tactics worked very well for their team. Currently, three of their battleships had been destroyed, but they could only heavily injure it every time. To which, it always regenerates to top condition before returning to attack.
"This serpent escaped again"
Looking at the giant serpent that left the battle area, Colonel Cade clenched his fist until they turned pale.
The reason why its guerrilla tactics are so effective is that this giant serpent is too agile. Furthermore, there is enough space for it to fully display its agility.
"Roar!"
Fang Yun smashed a nearby battleship, then directly launched an Antimatter Bomb at the ship on the left, completely destroying it.
As time passed, more and more had battleships withstood Fang Yun’s attack. Despite using the relay method to collectively endure the damage, many battleship’s energy shields reached critical conditions.
Now, Fang Yun is focusing on these battleships with dim energy shields. It was due to this that three battleships were destroyed one after the other.
Fang Yun didn’t use “Life Plunder” this time, because the current investigation team is quite scattered. The distance between each battleship isn’t far away, but it’s not close either. Just out of his attack range.
On the other side, after hearing Colonel Cade’s request, Otto immediately said.
“Colonel Cade, we will come to support you right away.”
After making this promise, Otto gave orders to the remaining battleships in the vanguard team.
"Everyone come with me to support Colonel Cade!"
The moment his voice sounded, he ordered his battleship to head towards Fang Yun without hesitation or fear. This is his determination as a commander and responsibility as a leader.
As Otto approached Fang Yun, amongst the vanguard team, Doron took a deep breath, then slowly approached the battleship.
At this moment, his heart was jumping at an extreme speed, causing him to feel very flustered.
"Damn, I'm actually afraid?"
Doron cursed himself fiercely in his heart.
"I am here now to avenge my good friend. I must not be afraid!"
