----------------------
After hearing the words of Commander Otto, the battleships that were planning to escape all stopped, then turned back extremely reluctantly, approaching the edge of the battlefield, and attacking the giant serpent from time to time.
Commander Otto’s threat to them is very effective, because if they were truly branded as a betrayer, then their future life will definitely not be easy. They can’t even dream of stepping on populated areas in the future, they can only wander around like refugees.
This kind of life is unacceptable to them, who can be considered social elites. The most important thing is that if they become wanted criminals, then their families will definitely have a hard time.
Fang Yun in the middle was constantly bombarding the battleships around him. He had already understood that these guys have no intentions of dragging him to death.
For him, there are vacancies everywhere, if he wants to escape, it’s relatively simple.
"Damn it, let them shrink the battlefield space a bit."
Commander Otto in the distance oversaw the situation of the battlefield. After he said bitterly, he walked aside again and started calling someone.
"Captain Cade, we are now containing the great serpent, I don't know when you can come over?"
The person who Commander Otto called is Colonel Cade who came to lead the investigation team before. Compared to these people, Colonel Cade and the others are undoubtedly more experienced in dealing with monsters.
Their strength and military discipline are also much higher than the urgently gathered team of space mercenaries and the guards of various planets.
"Commander Otto, we will reach your location soon. Please hold that serpent until we arrive."
Colonel Cade's hoarse voice sounded from the headset. Otto solemnly nodded and said.
"Colonel Cade, rest assured, I will hold this monster until you arrive."
"However, I also hope you can hurry up, this monster is not something we can handle."
"I know, we will accelerate further."
"Okay."
Commander Otto ended the communication, then looked with frowned brows at the holographic projection in front of him. There was the scene of the battle between the great serpent and his fleet on the projection.
The giant serpent was rampaging around, madly destroying their battleships.
In the past, those Norton-class planet destroyers were able to cause Fang Yun some trouble, but after evolving several times in succession, his strength skyrocketed, hence battleships at that level can hardly bring him any danger.
He can easily defeat them.
Due to his speed and agility, the weapon systems of those battleships can’t even touch him in a vast empty space, and these guys provided him with exactly that, coupled with his "Space Barrier", he wasn’t even injured in this confrontation.
On the contrary, those battleships were constantly destroyed one after the other.
"This monster..."
Looking at the giant serpent that was rampaging across their encirclement, Commander Otto suddenly remembered something and said with wide eyes.
"This giant serpent absolutely can escape!."
"However, it didn’t try to escape, but rather fought with us...Didn’t it guess that we are just a vanguard force or isn’t it afraid of the army behind us? A monster of this level can’t have no wisdom!"
An uneasy feeling spread in Otto’s heart, causing him to feel very worried, but he couldn’t do anything.
Can he give the order to withdraw?
No, because if they retreat, they will get the blame for any disaster this giant serpent causes in the eighth heaven.
There’s no need for the great serpent to get involved, as long as he withdraws now, his position will definitely be removed as soon as he goes back, and he will be sent to the military court.
As the ‘Battle’ continued, Commander Otto felt that time passed very slowly. He really experienced what it means to live like a year in a minute this time.
He kept praying for Colonel Cade and his fleet to come over.
At that moment, he wasn’t the only one praying, many people across the battlefield were praying for the war fleet to come over as soon as possible. Of these people, there was naturally the guy who vowed to avenge his best friend, Doron.
"Damn it, this animal almost hit my spaceship."
Looking at the laser that passed by and into the distance, Doron felt cold sweat across his palms. Just a moment ago, he almost died. Fortunately, at the critical moment, he burst out with beyond the limit reaction and avoided the deadly attack.
"Hoof..."
Doron heaved a sigh of relief. He couldn’t help but hold his rapidly beating heart as he said.
"No wonder they concluded this great serpent as a pollutant. It’s too scary!"
He started feeling a little bit of panic.
Such a powerful creature, do they have the ability to kill it?
If they can't kill it, maybe all of them will die here.
When he thought of this, he couldn't help but scan the surrounding area to check for the situation of their fleet, but the moment he did so, he somewhat regretted it.
The results were astonishing because the number of their spaceships had dropped to a quarter.
How long has it been? 30 minutes? An hour?
One can imagine how powerful this great serpent is.
"Roar!"
A piercing roar sounded from an instrument next to him. A bit like dragons roaring and tigers howling.
Doron knew that this was the roar of the great serpent. This excitement-filled roar should be the great serpent venting its emotion due to its overwhelming victory in this war.
"Damn animal."
Doron cursed angrily. Naturally, he hates to see this giant serpent acting arrogant in front of him, but he can’t do anything to stop it.
"With our unorganized formation, these shitty mud legs, and undisciplined bastards, we simply can’t exert much power in the fight against the great serpent!"
Doron felt very frustrated and a little depressed, because he suddenly discovered that his courage disappeared bit by bit in the face of this monster, eaten away.
He felt very angry and frustrated, angry at this monster’s massacre and his teammates’ uncoordinated actions, and even more frustrated at his weakness and inability to do anything.
He had never felt such a strong desire for strength as now, the strength to change the situation and the strength to deal with this monster!
"No, we must stop this guy."
Doron yelled internally.
"Not only for Drummond but also for the entire eighth heaven."
When he thought of this, his mind gradually calmed down and courage reappeared in his heart, but at this moment, a huge shadow enveloped his battleship.
