"Roger, have you heard? The empire dispatched a secret fleet. This time it’s about to launch a killing operation against that monster."
On a street of Imperial Planet, a young man said to his companion. His companion, also a young man, wasn’t as optimistic as his friend.
"Dawson, this may be another trick the Empire used to appease us, now they can no longer convince me."
"I’m convinced that the end of the world is coming."
Roger raised his head and looked at the sky, with gloom spread over his head.
Hearing that, the young Dawson groaned, but still managed to smile.
"Hey, Roger, don't be too pessimistic, we can only trust them again. If the serpent is really solved, the crisis will be resolved."
"I hope so."
Roger did not argue with his good friend Dawson. He shook his head slightly, his disappointment with the senior leaders of the Supreme Blue Empire had reached the extreme.
One of the nine outer planets of the Imperial Capital was reduced into a dead rock. In addition, in many previous battles, their fleet was completely defeated when facing the giant serpent. He had lost hope a long time ago.
Roger glanced around, the huge and prosperous streets looked desolate at this moment. The lack of people and the faint atmosphere of despair is a sharp contrast to the previous prosperity.
Many military guards can be seen walking around, patrolling the surrounding area, stopping people from doing irrational things such as fighting, smashing, and looting.
"The end will come sooner or later."
Roger muttered indistinctly. His eyes became numb. At first, as the giant serpent fought against their fleets, again and again, he was filled with panic
Coupled with many people popularizing the news that the end is coming, he gradually believed that the great serpent is truly a force of destruction bringing the end of the world.
His mood also changed from the mix between fear and hope at the beginning to despair and numbness later on.
However, his companion Dawson has always maintained hope. Contrary to him who completely gave up, his friend is still hoping that the empire's fleet can truly solve the evil serpent.
"Okay, Roger, just wait."
Dawson smiled. Knowing that his words did not get the approval of his friends. He took a deep breath, then clenching his hands, he said.
"Let’s go, let's go home and watch the news."
"If our fleet defeats that giant serpent, they will definitely announce the news to calm everyone as soon as possible."
The two walked side by side across the street, then got into a private house.
There are many people in the Imperial Planet like Dawson and Roger, some of them were completely convinced by the doomsday rumors, thinking that the dawn of their Intergalactic Empire has arrived.
Others, like Dawson, still have hope for the future. Most of the latter group of people was waiting for news back at their residence.
On the other side, in the pitch-black space, Fang Yun stared at the area ahead closely. That direction was exactly the area where the electromagnetic wave was emitted from.
At present, that radar-like electromagnetic wave has become more and more intense.
This also means that that fleet is getting closer and closer to him.
The giant serpent's huge body suddenly moved, continuously moving forward. Accelerating to an exaggerated level of speed, making it extremely hard for any weapon to lock his position.
"It found us."
In the control room of the command ship, John stood behind elder Murray, King Zahan, and Roy Berg. He looked at the radar screen in front of them and noticed that a red dor is approaching them at an exaggerated speed.
This red dot represents Fang Yun.
Not long before, they had already fully sensed Fang Yun's location. Originally, they planned to approach and surround him quietly, but the moment they discovered him, Fang Yun also discovered them.
"What a fast speed, it is indeed not a general fifth-class pathogen."
After seeing Fang Yun's exaggerated speed, Roy Berg’s eyes lit up with excitement.
"Everyone pay attention! spread out, spread out! now the target is flying towards us at the speed of light."
The spacecraft in the fleet dispersed, then activated all of their energy shields.
But it's a pity that, at Fang Yun's incredible speed, although they detected his huge life fluctuations, they couldn’t accurately lock him.
Fang Yun isn’t moving forward in a straight line but is constantly zig-zagging around, with an irregular flight path, making it neigh impossible to predict his movement path.
“Roar!!!”
As he rapidly tore through the dark space, Fang Yun raised his head and let out a deep and distant roar. His roar spread around in the form of electromagnetic waves, then captured by the spaceships on the opposite side. All of the people in the command room clearly heard the roar after it was translated into sound waves.
"He’s coming."
Elder Murray slightly clutched his chest and looked at the projection screen in front of him. From the distant dark space, he was finally able to see the great serpent.
It can be seen that this giant serpent noticeably slowed down when it approached their fleet
Suddenly, the spaceships unfolding the energy barriers ahead sank a little, exposing the rear fleet. The rear spaceships don’t have their energy shields activated. They have been charging their laser cannons, hence the moment Fang Yun appeared, they didn’t hesitate to launch an attack.
“Whoosh!”
Fang Yun directly activated the "Space Barrier", deflecting all the incoming attacks due to the distortion in space.
"Unfortunately, this skill can't distort space enough to reverse the laser beam's trajectory, otherwise, I would have made them taste their own attack."
Fang Yun felt that it was a pity, but didn't stop shortly thereafter. He aimed at a ship on the opposite fleet and launched a huge black sphere from his mouth. The maxed out “Antimatter Bomb”.
The ship that was locked by him was a Norton-class Battleship. Under his full power attack, the energy shield that was surrounding it directly burst open. Unimpeded, the black sphere continued to collide with the huge battleship, completely destroying it, then exploding.
“BOOM!!!!!”
The explosion stretched for tens of thousands of kilometers, affecting the nearby battleships and causing them to violently shake. The explosion created a light sphere many times brighter than the sun, lighting up the surrounding billions of miles.
The explosion could even be faintly seen back from the Imperial Capital.
"What?!!"
In the control center of the command ship, John, Payne, and Murray all fell into a sluggish state after seeing this scene.
Not only them, even King Zahan, and Roy Berg were also shocked by Fang Yun's tyrannical attack.
"This... this giant serpent is so powerful?"
Roy Berg asked with a look of astonishment because, in John and Payne's narration, the attack power of this suspect pollutant is far from what he saw now.
