------------------------
The students in the academy will be sent to the depths of the universe to hunt star beasts for practice after studying for several years and having sufficient skills.
In the universe, apart from competition between the major civilizations, they also have to guard against the threats from star beasts.
In some relatively peaceful heavens, the threat of star beasts is a major danger factor that they need to consider.
This is exactly the situation of the eighth heaven.
There are a total of seven huge empires here, but these seven empires get along very harmoniously, hence their military power is generally used in battles with star beasts.
After graduation, most of the students in Sakura Academy will enter the armies of the various empires and fight against star beasts.
Therefore, before graduation, they need to go to remote areas of space alone, then hunt a sufficient number of star beasts alone to prove their abilities. This is related to their future status in the military.
Drummond decoded the instruments in the control center, especially the life detector. This machine is an incredibly important scanner that can scan large lifeforms across an incredibly long distance.
But for the time being, he has no way to lock the position of that lifeform.
The single-commander battleship he was controlling is very powerful, and it’s the most powerful battleship in the academy. In terms of combat strength, it’s equivalent to an Imperial-class battleship.
It’s said that there are more advanced single-command battleships in the academy, but they are not what a student like him can control.
"Drummond, how about it, haven't you locked that star beast's position yet?"
On the holographic screen, Drummond's friend Doron sat on a chair, holding a cup of coffee, leisurely sipping it while asking.
"There is no way to lock that guy's position."
Drummond frowned slightly and said.
“That star beast can really hide..."
His current location is exactly the star field where Fang Yun and the giant turtle are, so the life fluctuations he detected are naturally emitted by Fang Yun and the giant turtle.
It just said that the two of them are very close to each other, hence, he didn’t detect that there are two ‘Star Beasts’.
In fact, Fang Yun did not deliberately hide his body. It’s just because he stayed on that huge bare planet, hence his exact location was somewhat disturbed by the harsh climate.
"I found him!"
After driving the spacecraft closer to the center of the starfield, Drummond finally locked the location of the life fluctuations, a giant planet.
"That star beast is actually on the planet?"
Drummond felt a bit of disbelief. Star beasts rarely live on the planet, their huge size usually hinders their movements on a planet’s surface, hence they usually don’t like to stay there.
Doron on the holographic screen was also surprised after learning about Drummond's experience. He also had never encountered a similar experience.
Although this situation is special, it does not mean that they were frightened.
Drummond began to drive his battleship into the atmosphere of that gray planet.
After entering the atmosphere, a desolate scene filled his sight. Outside the spacecraft, there is the endless sound of wind whooshing, sounding quite freaky.
But this is nothing to Drummond, who often wanders across the deserted areas of space. He stared at the life detector to see the next reading.
Soon, the pointer pointed to the northwest.
"In that direction."
Drummond glanced to his left, and then without any hesitation, he immediately drove his battleship towards the selected location.
Just as Drummond was heading in the direction pointed by the scanner, there were two high rocky mountains in that direction across a far distance.
It's just that they aren’t high mountains at all. Under the outer rocky layer, there are two extremely huge beasts.
A giant serpent and a giant turtle.
At this moment, Fang Yun had already sensed the approaching spaceship. He watched all this coldly. This spaceship should be coming for them, but he doesn’t know its intention for the moment.
As Fang Yun watched coldly, Drummond's spacecraft stopped above Fang Yun and the giant turtle, locking the two giant mountains below.
"Hmm, it seems to be hiding underground."
Inside the spacecraft, Drummond was immediately attracted by the two giant mountains. According to the prompt of the life detector, there were strong life fluctuations under these two mountains.
“Zizi!!!”
The weapon equipment of the battleship started to operate, preparing to bombard the two mountains below, but at this moment, one of the two mountains suddenly started to tremble. As the giant rocky layer over thousands of meters thick started to collapse, a behemoth appeared in front of him.
"It appeared!"
Drummond’s face flushed with excitement. He couldn’t help but laugh as his face was filled with smiles.
"Finally it stopped hiding, let me see what kind of star beast this is."
He fixed his eyes on the huge black shadow that emerged from beneath the mountain. He quickly recognized that it’s a star serpent, and after seeing its size, his smile widened even further.
"Doron, this star beast is more than one hundred kilometers long. It should be a disaster-class star beast, but my battleship will give it a good lesson."
"You fellow, be careful, this level of star beast is not easy to deal with."
After seeing the serpent through the holographic projection, Doron couldn’t help but remind his over-excited friend.
"Hahaha, Doron, you are feeling sour."
Drummond laughed loudly. The spacecraft's power unit started turning at max speed. At the same time, the weapon units started launching countless laser beams towards the opposite serpent.
“Boom!”
A laser beam steadily landed on Fang Yun's body. Along with a huge explosion, a blood hole with a diameter of hundreds of meters appeared on Fang Yun's body. However, the blood hole started healing at a speed visible to the naked eyes.
"Oh?"
Back on the battleship, Drummond’s face changed upon seeing this scene, He couldn’t help but feel a little nervous. The giant serpent didn’t seem to be affected by the previous attack. The blood hole caused by the main cannon had already disappeared, and the auxiliary cannons couldn’t even break through the serpent’s scales.
The giant serpent is still extending its body up, looking at him fiercely, as if it was about to swallow it into his stomach.
