------------------------
"This silly guy, he has never seen a space fighter."
Besides John, Odyssey couldn’t hold his smile after seeing the silly look of “Sea Cow”. The other people in the control center also couldn’t help but laugh upon hearing his words.
Because the 13 space fighters are transmitting back real-time images back, they could clearly see the silly and curious look of this giant Sea Cow. Things like Nightmare-class creatures’ majesty doesn’t exist.
"You all have to be careful."
Only John still maintained his rationality and coolness, he solemnly said to everyone.
"This is a nightmare-class star beast. We must be careful."
His serious appearance caused a staff member to smile say.
"Commander, this is Just a nightmare-class Star Beast. Incomparable to our Norton-class planet destroyer, hunting such a creature isn’t difficult for us at all."
In theory, this is the case. One or two Imperial-class battleships are enough to deal with an average Nightmare-class star beast, let alone their Norton-class battleship, but no one can come to an accurate conclusion before the start of the battle.
Moreover, different nightmare-level creatures have different strengths and special abilities. No one knows if this Sea Cow has any tricky ability
"Don't under..."
John looked displeased, just as he wanted to remind his subordinates to take this seriously, the changes on the display screen caused their faces to change.
"This is..." Someone's eyes widened, looking at the scene on the display screen with a look of shock.
On the display screen, the space fighters flew in front of the giant Sea Cow, causing it to move its giant head curiously along with them.
But at this moment, Sea Cow suddenly opened its giant mouth. After opening it, space around suddenly started distorting, just like a black hole, the 13 space fighters were pulled into its mouth without the power to resist.
"Ahhh!!"
"Commander, save me, save me!!"
From the transmitter in the control center, a series of fear-filled screams sounded, causing the people who heard it to be horrified.
But soon, these sounds came to an abrupt end, because all of these space fighters were sucked into the mouth of the Sea Cow.
Silence suddenly filled the control center of the command ship, the laughter, and smiles on everyone’s face completely disappeared.
"Before... what kind of skill did that monster just use?"
Someone couldn’t help but ask this question. There’s no air in space, hence it’s impossible for Sea Cow to use the air surge to suck these space fighters into its stomach.
Moreover, through the display screen, they noticed that the space in front of Sea Cow’s mouth was distorted. This is clearly a clever use of space to distort gravity and attract creatures or objects towards it. Almost like a black hole.
"Everyone, be careful, this star beast won’t be easy to hunt..."
John solemnly said. Everyone in the control center did not laugh again this time. Although they have a Norton-class planet destroyer, they don’t dare to disregard this Nightmare-class star beast anymore. Even faintly, fear appeared in the depth of some people’s hearts.
No one knew whether this is the most powerful skill of Sea Cow or just a random blow.
Just when John started warning everyone, a violent howl sounded from the electromagnetic waves translator, shaking everyone’s spirit.
“Wooo!!!!”
The unusually harsh roar shook everyone in the control room, causing their flesh and blood to vibrate. Only after someone took action to quickly lower the volume were they finally relieved.
All of a sudden, everyone’s eyes were fixed on the central display screen. After a close look, they were shocked again. Previously Sea Cow‘s back was facing them, but this time, it turned around and looked straight at them with its gigantic eyes.
How could such a creature completely rotate its body in such a short time and without making any noise?
The only explanation they could think of is that this monster--
"It has a space manipulation ability."
John's face became more solemn, then started to issue combat instructions.
"The previous plan is invalidated, now start free combat."
"All space fighters must be immediately dispatched!"
One of the biggest features of a fleet like this is it has a huge number of space fighters, and sometimes, used tactically, space fighters can abuse planet destroyer battleships.
They can not only harass the opponent, taking their attention and energy, but also provide a lot of opportunities for their allied battleships to attack. This is the power of space fighters.
Countless space fighters were dispatched from the lower compartment of the cargo spaceships and battleships. They flew aggressively like locusts towards the huge Sea Cow.
After reaching optimal distance, they started attacking Sea Cow.
Suddenly, the void around “Sea Cow” suddenly distorted, forming a huge barrier. All later attacks collided into it, then suddenly slipped off the side, unable to even touch it.
"Isn't this my space barrier?"
Fang Yun was shocked upon seeing the ability displayed by Sea Cow, at the same time, he threw off his lazy mentality and started watching the battle seriously.
He mainly wanted to see if the space barrier is capable of diverting the attacks of the main cannon of the planet destroyer battleships, especially the Norton-class one.
"Damn it, sure enough, this star beast can manipulate space!"
John grimaced upon seeing this scene from the distance. Afterward, he ordered the 10 Imperial-class battleships to start acting.
Ten Imperial-class planet destroyers flew toward the opposite Sea Cow, at the same time, they launched a series of bombardments after the other, heading towards the head of the Nightmare-class Star Beasts.
"The deflection of these laser beams has become smaller."
As Fang Yun carefully stared at the space barrier of Sea Cow, he came to this conclusion.
Over time, the deflection angle of the space barrier to the side became smaller and smaller. In addition, the impact of the space barrier on the laser beams launched by the main cannon of the Imperial-class is very small.
However, not a single laser beam launched by this fleet was able to touch the Sea Cow, even the ones launched by John and Odyssey’s Norton-class battleship.
"My space barrier should have the same effect, but level 1 “space barrier” shouldn’t be as powerful as that of that Nightmare-class Star Beast."
Fang Yun thought after watching for a while.
Under his observation, this deadlock continued for 2 minutes before the situation on the battlefield changed.
