------------------------
The Golden Behemoth’s body started to turn invisible. Fang Yun felt that this monster was ready to escape again. Its body was floating in front of the fleet, quickly becoming invisible. It’s going to hide in space.
Just as Fang Yun had guessed, this golden behemoth is preparing to escape temporarily. Its injuries have reached a critical state and it’s in urgent need of recovery.
Of course, it probably won’t take long to recover from its injuries. It doesn’t have the perverted recovery skills of Fang Yun, but it can still restore its injuries using the belief and vitality of its believers.
Moreover, it didn't intend to run too far. This fleet had been locked by it. It’s in its death list, only a bit lower than that damn serpent.
"Damn it, that monster wants to escape!"
Inside the command ship, Oliver said angrily after seeing the disappearing behemoth and the weaker and weaker life fluctuations on the instruments in front of him.
They paid a huge price to seriously injure this pathogen. If it leaves like this, then all of their efforts and sacrifices will be for naught.
"Stop it! We must not allow it to leave!"
Payne solemnly gave this order. The remaining battleships accelerated to the largest extent, crossing tens of thousands of kilometers every second, heading towards the golden behemoth. Just as they reached optimal range and just as Payne was about to order them to use the Gravity Generator, the golden behemoth disappeared.
Although the golden behemoth disappeared, they are still able to detect its life fluctuations, it’s just that these life fluctuations are extremely weak, so weak that they could only perceive a rough direction, but could not directly lock its position.
This means that the golden behemoth has reached an extremely far away place, almost on the edge of their detection equipment’s range.
"Hurry up and chase it!"
Payne didn't want to give up so easily. He yelled loudly, ordering the fleet to head towards the area where the life fluctuations are emitted.
In the rear, Fang Yun also sensed the life fluctuations of the golden behemoth, following behind Payne’s fleet and heading towards it.
In this way, in this chase and escape, the golden behemoth got farther and farther away from Payne’s fleet.
The golden behemoth’s ability to control space is unparalleled. Compared to ‘Sea Cow’ that can only teleport 1 million miles at a time, the golden behemoth can cross billions of miles or even more in quick teleportation.
In fact, Fang Yun could directly cross Payne’s fleet and catch up with the golden behemoth, but he didn’t plan to do so at the moment.
He cares more about this fleet than the golden behemoth now.
Besides, the Golden Behemoth is obviously planning to continue its actions in this area. In other words, if he wants to deal with this Golden Behemoth in the future, he won’t have to worry about finding it.
When he thought about this, his attention was shifted from the golden behemoth to Payne’s fleet. Just as he was about to act, the situation slightly changed.
Ahead, the Golden Behemoth was quickly running away, its injuries were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye, but it was completely incomparable with Fang Yun.
It also felt that the fleet behind was almost thrown away by it, causing it to gradually relax. It stopped teleporting and just flew forward. Anyway, its speed is still higher than the speed of the fleet behind.
But at this moment, its relaxed mood and body suddenly tensed up.
"Wooo!!"
It uttered an earth-shattering howl. Right in front of it, a beam of light flew towards it at near light speed and heavily collided with it.
“Boom!!”
Its shoulders suddenly burst out and countless pieces of blood and flesh splashed into space. The golden behemoth groaned painfully, unable to fathom why it was suddenly attacked from the front.
At this moment, not far ahead of the golden behemoth, another fleet appeared.
"Oh?"
In the rear, Payne and the other watched this change with a look of shock. Payne muttered with a look of disbelief.
"How come a fleet suddenly appear here?"
He was puzzled.
Could it be that the elder council sent another fleet to assist him to get rid of the pathogen? But thinking about it, it’s impossible. The Imperial Planet is still facing a huge threat, their fleet is the limit of what could the elder council send.
They need to face the serpent-pathogen, which is a true fifth-class pathogen. The council of elders has already withstood a lot of pressure to send them to hunt down this pathogen.
However, despite his puzzlement, Payne didn’t hesitate, he ordered his fleet to continue moving forward, and soon enough they caught up with the golden behemoth.
Currently, the golden behemoth’s body is lying twisted in space, its injuries had become even more severe than before. Half of its body was blown up and swathes of flesh and blood filled the area around it.
"Captain Payne."
The mysterious fleet suddenly sent a message to Payne’s fleet, describing who they are and what is their objective. "We are from..."
As the other party introduced themselves, Payne finally understood who this fleet belongs to. This fleet has a few Norton-class planet destroyers that were just built by the Imperial Dockyard.
They were heading to the Intergalactic battlefield, but they received instructions from the headquarters to assist Payne’s fleet if they were to encounter it/
Unexpectedly, before arriving at the intergalactic battlefield, they encountered this golden behemoth that was injured by Payne and his fleet and didn’t hesitate to launch an attack on it.
The golden behemoth, which was seriously injured, obviously suffered a huge loss in front of this newly constructed fleet. It’s unable to even teleport now. Just a lamb that can be slaughtered.
"Hahaha, I didn't expect that there would be such a thing."
Payne burst into laughter; he was thrilled.
"Now, this pathogen can't escape anymore..."
"Do it, get rid of this monster, just so that we can go back and protect the Imperial Capital."
After saying this, Payne started preparing for the final waves of attack. This is a prime opportunity to get rid of this pathogen.
“Whizz!!!”
The spaceships in the fleet fired together. Not only them, but the fleet on the other side also attacked. Countless laser beams fell on the golden behemoth, destroying one piece of flesh after the other.
“Wooo!!!”
Inside the dazzling white light, the golden behemoth howled in pain, but at the moment it seemed to really have no strength to fight back, and could only be bombarded mercilessly by artillery fire.
