In an extremely luxuriously decorated office, Murray listened to the report of his subordinates, sluggishly looking at the report file in his hand.
"How can it be?"
At this moment, he tightly clenched the paper in his hand, angrily tearing it into pieces.
"Did you block the news?"
Murray solemnly looked up at the subordinates in front of him.
His subordinate Payne nodded solemnly.
"Elder Murray, although we temporarily blocked the news, I am afraid it will not be blocked for too long."
"After all, the infected area this time is too wide."
Hearing Payne's words, Murray frowned, looking at the reports files in front of him. The frightening words and scary numbers on it caused him to feel a bit dizzy.
"How could this be?"
Suddenly he felt a deep sense of powerlessness. According to the information in the report document, about 50,000 light-years away from the imperial capital, there is an area with a diameter of 70 light-years, entirely infected by the pathogen.
The number of infected people can be counted in the trillions!
Judging from the situation there, those infected people respectfully address the pathogen as the "Great Will". Furthermore, these people are constantly spreading forward.
"Unexpectedly, it infected such a large area without making any sign. What is the level of that pathogen?"
Murray scanned the report file again, but he didn't get the corresponding information on it. He looked at his subordinate Payne seriously.
"Haven’t you seen the real body of the pathogen yet?"
"No."
Payne shook his head. Their forces only observed that people in that area are very likely infected by a pathogen, but they did not conduct an in-depth investigation.
This situation is too dangerous and generally requires specialized personnel to handle it.
At present, they can only block off that area and prohibit all spacecraft from entering or leaving it. Of course, this method cannot completely prevent the spread of these infected.
The area affected is too wide and the number of infected is too much.
If an infected person sneaks into a safe area and hides their identity as an infected person, it will cause a disaster, infecting author people and increasing the influence of the pathogen.
Infected people who can hide their identity and can act no differently from normal are generally those who are deeply "poisoned" amongst infected people. They are not just fanatical worshipers, but can even be counted as the clones of the pathogen. At some certain times, they can transform their bodies and display a part of the pathogen’s power.
"Elder Murray, should we send more staff there?"
Payne hesitantly asked great elder Murray. They must quickly clean all the intelligent creatures in the infected area.
This is simple for a giant like the Supreme Blue Empire, which has various high-tech weapons. They can directly destroy the planets of the infected.
For Norton-class battleships, a few lasers are enough to destroy a giant planet.
Even in this case, they don’t even need to dispatch Norton-class planet destroyers, Imperial-class planet destroyers are more than enough. However, what they must worry about is not those infected intelligent creatures but the Pathogen behind them.
The pathogen certainly won’t watch as they slaughter its believers, and to deal with a pathogen that can silently infect an area stretching over dozens of light-years, they need Norton-class planet destroyers.
It’s a pity that this is a critical time. They need a large number of Norton-class planet destroyers to deal with the serpent-pathogen here.
"Damn it!"
Murray cursed inwardly, this series of disasters caused him a splitting headache. He really doesn’t know how to deal with this matter.
"Payne, you lead ten fleets led by Norton-class planet destroyers to the target area and resolve this problem as soon as possible!"
Murray took a deep breath and finally made a decision.
However, even though he made a decision, his heart still felt heavy. With the 10 mission Norton-class battleships and their fleet, the defense of the central capital will greatly drop, making it harder to deal with the serpent-pathogen.
"Yes."
Payne nodded, then turned and walked out of the office.
Murray sat dejectedly on the office chair; he can only pray silently in his heart, praying that there won’t be an attack on the central capital until Payne resolved this matter.
"Why are there so many disasters in the Supreme Blue Empire lately."
Murray’s face was very gloomy. Now there are two extremely powerful pathogens in the empire. Not to mention the serpent-pathogen, the other pathogen that appeared in the corner of their galaxy is certainly no weakling.
After all, it can silently infect such a large area. It must be at least a third-class pathogen, possibly a fourth-class one.
"Now that the empire is fighting on the three fronts, I wonder if we can slow down the war. We really shouldn’t have attacked the Milky Way so hastily at that time."
Currently, the Milky Way is not only dragging a large part of their military force but also a large number of manpower and financial resources.
Murray sighed internally, but he can’t change anything. After all, this is the order that that highness gave to their Supreme Blue Empire.
If it can't be done, his status in the Supreme Blue Empire will not be guaranteed.
Thinking of this, he smiled bitterly. Back when he was selected by that highness, he was still cheering and rejoicing, but now it seems that the mission he was entrusted with is not so easy to accomplish.
While Murray was doubting life in his office, Payne had led ten fleets of Norton-class planet destroyers to leave the Imperial Planet, heading in a certain direction.
The huge fleet flew quietly in space. After reaching the target location, they will activate the space jumping device.
Before starting to space jumps, one must select a safe route to ensure that there are no large celestial bodies on the way. Otherwise, if they get too close to a celestial body, the spacecraft will be forcibly pulled out of the Hyperspace, greatly damaging them.
Now they are heading to a base called "Kuiper". There is a safe location there with a route directly leading them to their destination.
When Payne just left the Imperial Planet, Fang Yun was still spinning around the six planets in the outermost layer of the Supreme Blue Empire, hence he quickly discovered their fleet.
"Huh? These guys left the Imperial Planet?"
Fang Yun was very surprised. At this critical time, how can those leaders in the Imperial Planet casually dispatch so many Norton-class fleets, aren’t they afraid that he will attack them?
"They shouldn’t be this stupid, did something happen?"
Fang Yun wondered. Not knowing that a pathogen is causing trouble at the edge of the Empire, infecting an incredibly large area. This news hadn’t spread yet to the public, hence even if he invaded the network, he still wouldn't know this news.
