Chapter 45: Cooperation with Andre
🕑 Added 2020-12-03 19:47:52 +0000 UTC"I don't lack that little money now." Shillong shook his head and said.
"Is there no other way?" Andre was unwilling.
Shillong glanced at Andre for a while and Andre opened his eyes hard to make himself appear sincere and innocent.
"You have no chance on Dragon Island!"
"..." Andre was a little disappointed, his head drooping low like a sulking puppy.
"But we can cooperate in other places!" Shillong suddenly said, a cunning look flashing in his eyes.
"Other places? Tell me!" Andre suddenly became excited again, now he dare not look down on this young dragon!
He underestimated him before, but he regretted it until his intestines turned green! This time, he must seize this opportunity!
"Human world! There are movies out yet, right?"
"Human world? I can directly use my own movie there!" Andre’s quickly lit up as he said.
"Are you sure you want to use your movie? Are you sure you can succeed? Think about why you failed in Dragon Island!"
"I..." Andre's complexion changed. If he had not experienced the failure of Dragon Island, perhaps he would think that he would definitely succeed in the human world, but after experiencing this failure, he is no longer as confident as before.
He is even more afraid of failure!
"Anyone that is paying to watch a movie will be very demanding in terms of quality! They will not pay money to see a bad movie for a second time, it will make them feel that the money they spend is not worth it, and they have been cheated! They will even hate you because of this, then advertise how bad your movie is!”
“Do you understand, Andre? Making a movie is not easy! It doesn’t allow failure! Especially since this is a new industry! Do you think that the movie you made is comparable to me? "Shillong narrowed his eyes slightly and said.
"..." Andre was silent for a moment: "I'm still not as good as you.....I made two movies. Although the second one has much better quality, I still clearly feel that it’s not as good as yours."
"So you will still fail!" Shillong confirmed.
Here, Shillong lied, but after his successive failure on the Dragon Island, Andre is no longer as confident as before, so he did not refute Shillong's words.
In fact, in the human world, those humans that have never seen a movie will be more tolerant of it. Since it’s a new thing, people haven’t set their standard yet.
As long as they don’t see a good movie like Shillong’s before, movies of Andre's level can at least circulate for a while.
Even if others follow suit to record a movie, Andre is not necessarily worse than anyone else!
So Andre will probably experience a period of prosperity outside. Even if he has no director talent and can’t improve the level of his movies, he will still take 3 to 5 years of profits before the competitors catch up or surpass him.
However, Andre gave Shillong an opportunity by appearing in front of him.
Shillong doesn’t understand anything about the outside world, hence he needs an experienced dragon like Andre to help him in his business outside.
"Because the quality of your movie is not high, you will still fail! How about it? Do you want to consider working with me? You can use my movie directly! You have seen my success, so you don’t doubt whether you can succeed in the outside world, right? "
"What is the cooperative method?" After thinking for a while, Andre finally said.
"You take my movies to the outside world, show it to the public, and make money. We’ll split the profits by 70% - 30%!" Silom said.
"70% - 30%?" Andre frowned.
"What? Do you think that it’s too little?" Shillong smiled. "Previously, you wanted to split the profits by 80% - 20%? It’s due to my generousness that you’re getting 30% now. If you don’t want to, it’s fine, I can look for other dragons.”
"No! It’s okay! I agree!"
Andre hurriedly said the deal that Shillong proposed is very good. If their positions were reversed, he doesn’t think that he will give Shillong even 30%. This young dragon is very interesting.
Afterward, the two dragons began to discuss the details.
After some discussion, Shillong also had a certain understanding of Andre.
This guy has a certain power in the outside world,
He knows a lot of wealthy businessmen in the human world, which will enable him to quickly develop the movie industry in the human world.
Another important point that they need to discuss is the price of the movie in the human world!
To this end, Shillon asked Andre about the purchasing power of gold coins in the outside world.
He only knew that 1 gold coin = 10 silver coins = 1000 copper coins, but he is totally unclear about the purchasing power of these currencies.
This time, after Andre’s explanation, he learned a lot.
First of all, in terms of food in the outside world, black bread is the cheapest and most filling food. A piece of black bread is enough for a person to eat for a meal, and its value is only 1 to 2 copper coins.
A piece of white bread is about 5 copper coins.
Meat, sausage, cheese, etc. are all relatively valuable items.
A pound of ordinary and cheap meat costs around 40-50 copper coins.
The price of a pound of sausage is slightly lower than that of meat, about 30 copper coins, and cheese is very expensive, about 80 copper coins for a pound.
An average adult man's annual income is only about 2 to 3 gold coins.
Meat, such a precious commodity, is rarely eaten in one year.
The nobility is different. Their ranks are different from country to country, but they are generally from high to low, duke, marquise, earl, viscount, and baron.
Even the lowest baron has an annual income ranging from dozens to hundreds of gold coins.
The wealth of nobles far exceeds that of common people.
This is a bit beyond Shillong's expectations. The civilians can’t even watch movies at the price of 1 silver coin as Shillong imagined before!
So Shillong finally decided to continue cutting the price! If 1 silver coin doesn’t work, then 30 copper coins, 20 copper coins!
He must absolutely set the price within the range acceptable to the public!
After finalizing all matters, Andre planned to immediately take Shillong's movie to explore the market in the human world.
But Shillong firmly refused.
’Just kidding, there is only one movie now, too little!’
With the speed at which the dragons can make a movie, the best would be to film a few more before giving them to Andre, allowing him to develop better in the human world.
After everything was settled, Andre went back happily.
The next day, Shillong met Nefiro who had come to visit.
Nefiro told him that apart from Andre, some other dragons have also created a movie and started broadcasting it.
In this regard, Shillong was already prepared internally. He took Arman and Nefiro to watch it from far.
The location of the broadcasting was on a plain, Shillong, Nefiro, and Arman saw a large number of dragons lying on the grass, causing them to stop mid-air and watch from afar.
A silver dragon was lying on the grass. Next to him was a huge earth platform with an audio-visual stone placed on it. Because Shillong, Nefiro, and Arman were hovering behind him, it was impossible to watch the movie.
Of course, They can’t directly go in front of the Silver Dragon and watch the movie, because they will have to pay to see it!
The three dragons don’t want to send money to the competitor!
Especially after Shillong learned the value of gold coins last night. He was even more reluctant to waste so many gold coins!
The 5 gold coins required to watch the movie can only be made by ordinary people in two years! Spending the salary of two years just to watch a movie? Only the nobles, rich, and dragons can spend so much money carelessly.
However, this price is most likely only temporary. As more and more movies are out, this price will keep going down.
Most importantly, Shillong doesn’t need to see the movie. He only needs to look at the expressions of those dragons that are watching to know its quality!

Am i just blind or can anyone else not find chapter 44
Hu Sein
Yeah, this movie plot seems just out of place. I wasn’t expecting it on this novel of all novels.
I know it dragged for quite a while, especially with my chapter release speed. After going to the human world and make enough money, he will make his own power. I think that the movie thing will end soon.
Hmm kind of tired of the whole making a movie thing tbh :/ when does it switch to something else ?
