-----------------------
John and his subordinates stared at the area ahead with wide eyes. In front of them, a huge creature with a length of about 40 kilometers is blocking them.
From the point of view of size alone, it’s naturally incomparable to the Sea Cow, almost like the difference between a human and a mouse, but the aura that it’s emitting is even more powerful than that of Sea Cow
This huge beast, covered in gold, looks like a mixture of many kinds of creatures, but its main framework is about the same as that of a spider.
"Isn't this the golden behemoth? The ‘Great Will’? How did it get here?"
Fang Yun stared at the creature a little speechlessly. They are old acquaintances. He traveled from the Milky Way to this place, but he never expected to find this guy here. He should have escaped to the Hunter Galaxy a long time ago.
It’s much bigger than before, more than twice as big, but it’s still far from Fang Yun’s size.
“Wooo!!”
At this moment, the golden behemoth howled loudly. It’s obviously trying to eat the fruits of John’s fleet hard work.
Furthermore, judging from its appearance, it’s not only intending to eat the Sea Cow but also planning to destroy and eat their fleet.
"Damn, I didn't expect this monster to show up at this time."
John looked at the golden behemoth on the opposite side with an unusually ugly expression. Many instruments in their control room started harshly ringing, signaling that their original target, the fourth-class pathogen has appeared.
But this is the worst time for its appearance. They just experienced a fierce battle, losing a lot of their manpower and energy. They are simply unable to fight with a fourth-class pathogen at this moment.
"John, what shall we do now?"
Odyssey stared at the golden behemoth on the electronic screen, his expression was also very ugly. He knew that their situation is very bad, let alone a fourth-class pathogen, it will be difficult for them to even deal with third-class ones now.
"Quickly, send a distress signal!"
John immediately conveyed his instructions to the rest of the crew.
"Make a defensive formation and try to persist until reinforcements arrive. In addition, give up that Nightmare-class star beast. It should be attracted by it for a while, giving us a lot of time."
He knew very well that this golden behemoth might have been eyeing them a long time ago. The reason why it didn’t attack them is that it wanted them to fight with Sea Cow, then act as the fisherman and gain all the profits.
Creatures of this level already have a certain intelligence. It’s not difficult for them to organize such tactics or execute some small tricks.
The fleet started to adopt a defensive formation, then slowly retreated, leaving behind Sea Cow’s body.
The golden behemoth looked at the retreating fleet first, then at the body of Sea Cow in front of it. It had a satisfied look in its eyes.
It wandered to the side of the Sea Cow’s body, then it sniffed carefully. Afterward, it started eating it slowly with a look of enjoyment on its face.
The crowd inside the fleet looked at this scene with a look of anger and helplessness, but they were a bit relieved. This should buy them some time, enough for the reinforcements to arrive.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go the way they wanted.
The golden behemoth, after taking a few bites from Sea Cow’s body, suddenly turned its head and looked at their fleet. Some hints of greed could be seen on its face.
"Damn, this monster isn’t satisfied with just Sea Cow."
When John saw the strange gleam in the golden behemoth’s eyes, his face suddenly changed.
As soon as his voice sounded, the golden behemoth had already started attacking them. Firstly, it launched many laser beams towards one of their damaged Imperial-class planet destroyers.
That Imperial-class battleship was completely unable to block this wave of attacks. Its energy shield lasted only a few seconds before breaking down, after which the battleship was quickly destroyed.
In just a few seconds, an Imperial-class battleship was destroyed.
"An Imperial-class battleship was quickly destroyed despite using its energy shield. The laser beam attack of this pathogen is too powerful."
John frowned, thinking of countermeasures in his mind. If this pathogen can keep launching attacks at this intensity, their fleet might not be able to withstand its attacks for long.
Their defensive formation is that the powerful battleships will resist the attacks of the enemy from the front, while the space fighters and other battleships will outflank the enemy and severely attack it.
Unfortunately, it seems that only their command ship can withstand the attack of this pathogen, but even it won’t be able to withstand such powerful attacks for a long time. Not to mention that they don’t have a lot of energy remaining.
At the moment, there is no other way than using their defensive formation.
"Odyssey, has the distress message been sent?"
John could only pin his hopes on the distress signal. If there are other fleets nearby, they might be able to quickly come here and support them. This is the only way they can survive.
"It has been sent out, but we haven't received any response yet."
Odyssey replied bitterly from the side. He sent a distress signal indicating that they encountered a fourth-class pathogen, but their fleet is seriously damaged and they need help.
“Boom! Boom!”
The giant behemoth suddenly started flashing around, slapping the space fighters in its way and exploding them to pieces.
Of course, John and Odyssey also attacked the pathogen, but their attacks could not land on it at all.
This golden behemoth not only has a ghostly speed and agility, it also has a space manipulation ability that can prevent any attack from causing damage to it.
The battle continued. This golden behemoth was extremely difficult to deal with. Soon John’s fleet suffered major casualties. In just a short period of time, more than 500 of their space fighters were destroyed
Even more frightening is the destruction of their battleships. Now, only fifteen Planet Destroyer ships remain one Norton class, three Imperial-class, and eleven Victory-class.
It can be said that if the situation doesn’t change, their fleet will be completely destroyed here.
“Boom!!”
The golden behemoth raised its claws and waved, causing them to instantly appear from a circular portal above a Victory-class battleship and instantly reduce it into pieces.
“Whoosh! Whoosh!”
However, this blow caused the golden behemoth to pause for a few seconds, unable to teleport or move while its claws are still in the space portal.
This provided an opportunity for the Norton-class planet destroyer and John naturally didn’t waste it.
The Norton-class battleship used its max firepower, launching a huge laser beam from their main cannon towards the Golden Behemoth.
Although the golden behemoth conjured a space barrier to protect it, in the face of a Norton-class battleship full-power attack, even its space barrier couldn’t completely often the attack.
“Boom!!”
A huge bit appeared on the golden behemoth’s body, from which many blood drops flew out.
“Woo!!!!”
This immense pain caused the golden behemoth to raise its head and howl loudly.
Its eyes turned red due to fury, and an intense feeling of destruction and madness filled its mind.
John’s heart skipped a beat as he watched this scene from the command ship.
“Howl!!”
The golden roared loudly, his long golden hair turned into spikes, and its golden blood revolved around it, forming a faint golden aura.
"It's angry, everyone, be careful!!"
John loudly warned everyone. Even if their spacecraft is a Norton-class planet destroyer, they can only protect themselves now in front of this enraged fourth-class pathogen.
The soldiers on the other spaceships felt their heart almost stop upon hearing John’s warning.
"it's time."
On the other side, Fang Yun, who was hiding behind a planet, became excited upon seeing this scene, at the same time, his body quickly disappeared, heading towards the battle scene.
