"Dodge, avoid it all!!"
Inside the control center, John yelled at the space fighters. He stared at the main screen with an ugly expression. The extremely large aquatic-like monster suddenly raised its head and opened its mouth.
The space in front of it suddenly melted violently, almost like a plastic bag stained with fire. The collapsed space fragments quickly spread towards the nearby area.
Besides the collapsed space is an Imperial-class battleship, but this Imperial-class battleship instantly turned into dust in front of that space collapse.
Not far away from the Imperial-class battleship, there are two Victory-class battleships and hundreds of space fighters, but even if they deployed their energy shields, they held on for barely 3 to 4 seconds before collapsing and turning into dust like the first battleship.
There are other spaceships not far from the collapsed space, but those spaceships quickly flew away, escaping from the fate of destruction. The collapse of space gradually slowed as it spread around, after spreading over tens of thousands of kilometers, the space collapse gradually stopped, then was slowly restored to its previous state.
After about three minutes, the collapsed area completely dissipated, but John’s and his team paid a total of two Victory-class planet destroyers, one Imperial-class planet destroyer, and 180 space fighters.
"Nightmare-level star beasts are too powerful."
Although he doesn’t know if this monster is special or if all nightmare-class beasts are all this powerful, John still felt that it was necessary for them to re-define the horror and power of nightmare-class creatures in the army.
This creature isn’t weaker than fourth-class pathogens. Its special space manipulation ability is very troublesome and dangerous.
After this episode, the fleet suddenly became a lot more vigilant, they started spreading out before attacking this behemoth.
Countless laser beams filled the area around Sea Cow, drawing this huge star beast. Its space barrier got fainter and fainter, flickering from time to time, about to disappear at any time.
At that time, without the protection of the space barrier, it will be almost impossible for Sea Cow to resist the frantic attack of this powerful fleet.
"This big guy, it’s speed is probably not good?"
Fang Yun watched this scene from a distance with a look of surprise; Just as he started wondering why that fat monster wasn’t escaping, Sea Cow suddenly moved.
Along with a flash, it appeared a million miles away, but these space fighters quickly locked its position again, drowning it in countless laser beams.
The Sea Cow can actually teleport, but each teleport has an interval of 5 seconds, which is enough for the fleet to relock its position and attack it again.
Each time the sea cow moved through space, it appeared a million miles away, but Fang Yun felt that the speed of this creature should be better than this.
The reason why it only moved a million miles every time is that it needs some time to accumulate speed, but these spaceships aren’t giving it the time.
After five teleports, the sea cow seemed to be a bit tired. It didn’t continue to escape, but turned around and started attacking the fleet.
Because the team that was chasing it didn’t have many space fighters and battleships, they suddenly fell into a disadvantage after the start of the battle.
However, after a large number of spaceships were added from the rear, the advantage of the Sea Cow disappeared.
“Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!”
One laser beam after the other bombarded Sea Cow. Its huge body, which was thousands of kilometers long, was riddled with holes after just a short amount of time.
“Wooo!!!"
Sea Cow released an earth-shattering anguished howl, then with red eyes, it launched its previous space collapse skill many times over, turning countless space fighters and spaceships into dust.
This battle lasted for one day. The main reason was that the intensity of the battle remained high until the last few hours. The higher-ups of the fleet feared that the battle would cause their fleet to suffer greatly, hence they used guerrilla tactics to gradually exhaust Sea Cow.
As for the Sea Cow, after the fleet started using guerilla tactics with it, it started madly attacking all spaceships in its way, trying to quickly destroy them and gain the opportunity to either flee or counterattack, but in the end, it could only helplessly fight until it was exhausted to death.
However, John and his fleet have paid a heavy price.
Three more Imperial-class battleships and five Victory-class battleships were destroyed. Furthermore, over 800 space fighters were destroyed.
More importantly, the energy of the fleet had been consumed by more than half right now.
"It's horrible."
Inside the control center of the command ship, First officer Odyssey looked at the dead Sea Cow lying quietly in space ahead, and couldn't help but sigh. He said with a look of emotion.
"This Sea Cow should be one of the top and most powerful nightmare-class star beasts."
"Maybe it will grow into a world-destroying star beast in the future. Fortunately, we solved it here today."
"Yes."
John nodded, then said again: "Drag this Sea Cow and let’s go home. We need to replenish our energy."
In the current state of their fleet, it would be best if they didn’t find the fourth-class Pathogen right now. If they did, their fleet would most certainly face the fate of being destroyed.
In fact, after this battle, John is suspicious that their fleet might not be able to defeat a fourth-class pathogen even if they are in their top form.
Nightmare-level star beasts and fourth-class pathogens are generally the same levels of creatures. Generally speaking, fourth-class pathogens are stronger than the same level Nightmare-class star beasts.
They had to struggle so much before taking down this nightmare-class Sea Cow, hence John doubted if they could take out the stronger fourth-class star beast.
"Oh."
Odyssey also knew the current state of their fleet, hence he quickly sent the order to leave this place.
The cargo spaceship specially dragged the corpse of the Sea Cow and followed behind the fleet.
In the distance, behind a huge planet, Fang Yun tilted his head and looked at this scene. Wondering if he should make his entrance right now.
However, at that moment, he suddenly stopped. He looked thoughtfully at the area in front of this fleet. There’s something there!
In the dark space, John and Odyssey led their fleet forward. Although a lot of people died and many spaceships were destroyed, killing a nightmare-class star beast can greatly offset their loss. In fact, they even made a lot of profit.
"This time we had good luck. After we sell this nightmare-class star beast’s body, we will supplement our loss then come back to search for the fourth-class pathogen.”
John smiled and said to Odyssey, of course, he also made up his mind to bring another fleet of the same scale next time. Although they will have to split the profits. They will at least evade the danger of destruction.
"Yes, John, why don't we come with Clark and the others next time."
Odyssey also smiled and said. Although he might not look like it, he’s also a shrewd man.
"Their fleet is about the same as ours. If we really encounter that pathogen, it will never escape."
"Of course."
John nodded, just as he was about to say something, his eyes suddenly shrank. He looked at the display screen ahead, only to discover that a golden behemoth had appeared in front of their fleet.
"That is……"
Both John and Odyssey were shocked at once. This might be the worst-case scenario.
Far behind the fleet, Fang Yun was shocked after seeing the golden behemoth.
"This is... that thing?"
