-----------------------
"Let’s try to hold them for a bit. Send them a message and say that if they want to stay here, they can park at the area 5000 kilometers away.”
Muttering a bit, Tang Guo immediately ordered a staff member next to her to send them a message.
This staff member immediately sent her message to Xu Ke”s fleet, this message doesn’t mean they welcome Xu Ke’s fleet, but they compromised, Their fleet can stay in this area, but it has to be at least 5000 kilometers away, or that will result in conflict.
It doesn’t matter if they agree or not. Tang Guo directly arranged their Blue Bird and White Swan space fighters to guard the main spaceships. At the same time, they slowly moved their original cargo ship and warlord fighters to the rear.
"Friends, we really just want to stay next to you, since you don’t agree, then there’s no need for conflict.”
In the command room of a huge space, Xu Ke frowned as the spaceships and space fighters of the opposite fleet started moving. He sent a message indicating that they are going to retreat.
However, all of this is just basic deception and psychological warfare in space battles. He gestured for his subordinates to pull the fleet back a bit.
"I want you to attack and defeat this fleet within 3 minutes!!"
Xu Ke gave orders in the command room, and his subordinates conveyed them to the space fighters pilots and the crew of the other spaceships.
Suddenly, Xu Ke’s fleet spread around, ready to launch a thunder-like attack on Tang Guo’s fleet, but right at that moment, a weird electromagnetic wave was intercepted by their communication instruments.
It’s some sort of beast howl.
"What?"
Hearing this voice, Xu Ke ordered his flee to stop. The situation has changed. Owning to his cautious nature, he decided to watch and see before taking further action.
It wasn’t just Xu Ke’s fleet, even Tang Guo ordered her fleet to stop their movements.
"Ouroboros?"
After hearing this beast howl, the image of a giant serpent with its head held high appeared in her mind.
However, when she looked at the display screen ahead, he pupils shrank.
"What the hell?"
She looked at the display screen in front of her with wide eyes. A terrifying giant beast is quickly flying here, but it’s not the familiar giant serpent or giant turtle.
It’s a giant lizard-like beast, moving its limbs and crossing thousands of kilometers in just a few seconds.
It’s about 7 to 8 kilometers long, which can be considered above average for most Star Beasts.
Such a star beast isn’t too troublesome to deal with, but they are now in a gathering area under heavy protection. Since star beasts appeared here, does that mean that there is a gap in the formation, and also near them?
“Wooo!’
Just as Tang Guo’s brain was rapidly moving, they captured even more electromagnetic waves from afar, which were then transformed into beast howls, and there are more than one.
"There are more Star Beasts approaching."
Tang Guo and her crew were truly shocked. After a moment, she loudly commanded her subordinates.
"Everyone! Prepare for battle!"
All the weapons on their spaceships and space fighters were activated, ready to fire at any time.
Wooo!!!!”
It was also at this moment that another deep voice was captured and translated by the instruments of their spacecraft. It was a thick and deep voice. More powerful than any other.
When they heard this sound, even if it was translated through the instruments of their spaceship, Tang Guo and her crew still trembled a bit.
"This is..."
Tang Guo was horrified. She ordered the people to zoom in to the area where the sound is coming from. In the next moment, something appeared on their screen.
It’s a huge monster.
It looks like a beetle, with a thick shell, and many pairs of limbs. When it’s moving forward, it constantly moves its limbs up and down, like a rowing boat, allowing it to move at a rapid pace.
It suddenly raised its thick head and howled loudly. After capturing the generated electromagnetic waves and translating it into sound, they heard that familiar howl.
Obviously, it was this creature that released the previous howl.
"Disaster-class star beast."
The moment she saw this terrifying behemoth, this word popped into Tang Guo’s mind. She felt her heart suddenly rising to her throat as she looked very nervous.
Disaster-class star beasts are extremely powerful. Their power corresponds to their name, disaster. They are truly a disaster to most fleets and even to low to mid civilizations.
Star Beasts of this level are generally hundreds of kilometers long. That’s why Fang Yun and the giant turtle weren’t considered star beasts of this class upon their fame spread.
However, the length of this beetle is over 100 kilometers long. This is not an estimation from Tang Guo’s visual observation, but a conclusion drawn by the AI in their spaceship using electromagnetic detection.
Some Disaster-class Star Beasts can compete with third-class pathogens, showcasing the power of star beasts of this level.
"Damn it, it's a Disaster-level Star Beast."
In the command room, Xu Ke couldn’t keep his calm after seeing the huge behemoth approaching them from the distance.
Only Planet-destroyers have the possibility of dealing with creatures of this level, and they don’t have a planet-destroyer spaceship right now.
"It's quickly approaching."
After a moment of silence, Xu Ke roared loudly.
"Prepare to fight!!"
He didn't choose to back down at this time, not because of how noble or fearless he is, it’s just because it’s too late at this time. Starting a hyperspace jump when such a powerful monster is close is a stupid thing to do.
"Hurry up! Accelerate and hide behind that fleet"
Xu Ke quickly conveyed his order. He is planning to use Tang Guo’s fleet as a shield.
Tang Guo is still shocked by the appearance of such a huge behemoth in this remote place. After all, behemoths of this size generally stay in the center of the star beast tide.
Now that such a behemoth appeared here, what is that fleet going to do?
She watched the weird movements of Xu Ke”s fleet as they stealthily moved behind them and instantly understood their purpose. Although frustrated, she didn’t dare to do anything. Now they can’t deal with both a disaster-class Star Beast and such a powerful fleet at the same time.
While she was thinking about countermeasures, the incoming behemoth didn’t give her any time. It raised its head and roared loudly, before launching an attack on them.
A bright light suddenly appeared on top of its head, and this light is still rapidly expanding. From its posture, it’s planning to attack Tang Guo’s fleet.
"Damn it, activated the energy shield!"
The moment Tang Guo’s cry rang out, a shield appeared around all three of their spaceships.
“Boom!!”
In the end, a rain of laser attacks landed on their energy shields, causing them to tremble severely, but in the end, they were able to withstand it.
The next moment, the giant beetle raised its head again, preparing to launch the next round of attack.
"Damn it, if an attack of such intensity hit our shield again, it will not be able to withstand it!”
Tang Guo yelled loudly. She is finally starting to panic.
"Haha, please block this monster’s attack for me again. Maybe, I’ll pray for you next time.”
Behind Tang Guo’s fleet, Xu Ke said with a smirk on his face. He really hopes that this fleet will be able to block the next round of attacks, buying them some more time.
"It's a pity that we can only give up on the Battlestar."
Xu Ke shook his head helplessly. In his opinion, Tang Guo’s fleet is bound to get destroyed. He doesn’t care about their spaceships or space fighters. The only thing he cares about is Battlestar, but it’s a pity...
"We’ll return to take a look at this place later on. I hope that this Battlestar will still be there at that time.”
Xu Ke’s thought while watching the scenery outside. Suddenly his eyes widened a bit.
On the other side, the desperate Tang Guo’s eyes lit up.
"Ouroboros!"
