Chapter 376: Tang Guo Crisis
🕑 Added 2020-10-01 15:18:52 +0000 UTC3/8 chapter, enjoy.
------------------------
Fang Yun and Tang Guo didn't know about the meeting light-years away. In fact, they didn’t even know that the SkyRiver Empire is more worried about the incoming disaster than them.
The Grave Star Battlefield is only the marginal area of the incoming Star Beast Tide, but the SkyRiver Empire is in the central area of its route.
It’s unknown how many planets will be destroyed and how many civilizations will suffer in front of this disaster.
Of course, none of this has anything to do with Fang Yun. He slowly waited as the Beast Tide got closer and closer. The anxiety and tension in the air also rose as time passed
Tang Guo and her crew started studying the Battlestar to see if there is any way to activate this weapon.
This device is seriously damaged, but its central circuits are still intact. With a bit of maintenance and a lot of energy, they might just be able to activate this device.
Of course, they also need some time to figure out how to activate this weapon. If the Battlestar can be activated before the Beast Tide arrive, then it can play a critical role as their absolute last trump card.
In this tense and depressing atmosphere, ten days finally passed.
On this day, a special energy field appeared not far away. This energy field made Tang Guo and the others extremely depressed, as if a huge mountain pressed on their back, giving them unparalleled pressure.
"The Star Beast Tide is here."
Tang Guo was very nervous. Facing the endless tide of star beasts, she had a feeling of looking at a huge insurmountable mountain. It’s almost like a lower creature facing the creature at the top of the food chain.
In short, this feeling made Tang Guo and the others extremely uncomfortable.
"All fleets, immediately send electromagnetic waves into space."
The SkyRiver Empire's fleet began to issue orders. At this time, everyone had solemn looks on their face. One after the other, they turned on the electromagnetic wave-emitting devices on their ships.
Suddenly, this area became filled with chaotic noises. Countless electromagnetic waves of different frequencies moved in this area, making it extremely chaotic.
Even Fang Yun felt a little uncomfortable in such an environment. After all, he is extremely sensitive to electromagnetic fields. This chaos caused him to feel a bit nauseous, but he quickly overcame this feeling.
“Wooo!!!!”
From the distant space, one weird electromagnetic wave appeared one after the other, which were intercepted by the spaceships around and translated into deafening howls.
The giant turtle looked particularly uneasy. It wandered around Fang Yun, seemingly wanting to escape, but it couldn’t do so as Fang Yun didn't move yet.
Fang Yun soothed it, then looked at the area ahead.
"Tang Guo, I'll go first."
Fang Yun reminded Tang Guo, then left the cluster of fleets.
This incident is of great benefit to him. Even if the beast tide is beyond something he can handle, he can still stealthily return to the chaotic electromagnetic-filled area next to Tang Guo.
In the next moment, he started moving. The giant turtle howled meekly a bit, then helpless followed behind him.
Due to the Fact that Tang Guo also created an electromagnetic waves-filled area, there aren’t any Star Beasts in this place, so he needs to go further away.
They continued slowly moving forward, and after crossing 3000 kilometers, they finally encountered their first target.
"Star beast."
Fang Yun's eyes lit up after seeing the giant beast ahead. It’s a Star Beast about 5 kilometers long.
It looked like a centipede. When it saw Fang Yun and the giant turtle, it immediately roared viciously, announcing the ownership of this area and warning the two of them to stay away.
It considers Fang Yun and the giant turtle as its kind.
Moreover, they were treated as creatures of the same level, otherwise, it would have immediately run away or pounced on them.
However, Fang Yun naturally won’t take the roar of such a weak beast seriously. The giant turtle took the initiative and rushed to the giant centipede and bit on its tail.
“Wooo!!!”
The giant centipede roared in pain. It twisted its body around, intending to constrict around the giant turtle, like a giant snake.
But neither its size of strength gave it this ability, as it was easily counterattacked and killed by the giant turtle.
Fang Yun moved around casually, dividing the giant centipede into pieces and leisurely eating it.
"This beast tide is really a good thing. It’s aa pity that I can’t get too far from the gathering area.”
Only in the central area of the star beast tide can he swallow star beasts wantonly. Unfortunately, this place is only a remote area. If he really goes to the central area, it’s unknown whether he can survive, there are a lot of powerful star beasts and pathogens there.
That’s without mentioning that if something happens to Tang Guo’s fleet, he won’t have the time to come back and support them.
"Little Turtle, let's go."
Fang Yun gently patted the turtle’s head, then flew in a certain direction. Because Fang Yun can also be considered a star beast, those star beasts didn’t immediately attack him and the giant turtle upon sight, but rather warned them.
However, Fang Yun didn’t take those star beasts seriously. He isn’t here to play but to devour these beasts and get a lot of bio-energy.
…………..
In the next few days, Fang Yun continued devouring all the star beasts on his way.
Most of the star beasts he encounters are around 5 to 6 kilometers long. These are the average and most numerous type of star beasts.
There are also some 1 to 2 kilometers long star beasts, but they often wander in groups. Fang Yun gathered a large amount of bio-energy by devouring them.
He can harvest all of their lives with a single “Lightning Domain”.
Fang Yun's bio-energy crazily rose.
His bio-energy points have reached 2 billion, a quarter of the required 8 billion, but he is likely to fulfill this amount in this beast wave.
Just a 1-kilometer long star beast can provide 1 million bio-energy points.
A 10-km long star beast can provide more than 10 million bio-energy points, sometimes 20 million points, which is quite a huge amount.
While Fang Yun was happily devouring food in space. Back in the gathering area, Tang Guo and her crew faced their first crisis.
