"Your death will not be pretty!"
Stevenson’s face changed abruptly after hearing Angelo's bursts of shouting and curses, his face contorted as he said viciously.
"You idiots, your death is approaching! How dare you speak like that! I really hope that the civilization behind you can appear. If that is the case, I will dedicate your entire civilization and race to the SkyRiver Empire. Hahaha, I can already imagine the rich rewards I’ll get"
Stevenson laughed angrily. These guys actually expect the civilization behind them to avenge them. They checked Angelo’s spaceship before and they didn’t find anything special about it.
So they have some speculations about the civilization behind Angelo. Their civilization is most likely a low-level one, far behind their Dome civilization.
Even if they overestimate them as much as they can, their civilization should at most be a mid-level one, at the same level their Dome civilization.
It’s not surprising, considering that they are still using that cargo ship, which is a cheap product that can be bought on the market.
"Let's go, I believe the officials of the SkyRiver Empire are capable of prying their mouths open."
Stevenson snorted coldly and was about to leave, but right at that moment. A crew member opened the door and ran towards him anxiously.
"Captain!"
This crew member first saluted Stevenson respectfully, then said.
"We detected a fleet moving towards us."
"What?"
Stevenson brows wrinkled as he said.
"Send them a warning message. Tell them to keep away from us."
The crew member who came by glanced nervously at Stevenson and said.
"Captain, we have already sent the incoming fleet a warning message, but they ignored it."
"Huh?"
Stevenson’s expression gradually became ugly.
"Tell them, we are performing a task released by the SkyRiver Empire. If they mess with us, they will face a wrathful response from the Empire!"
While saying this, he followed the crew member and walked quickly towards the control room.
In the cabin, Angelo and the others heard the conversation outside. A thought suddenly flashed in their mind as they understood. Their rescue fleet has arrived.
"Our people are here."
Angelo said with a look of joy on his face.
"Hahaha, I know that the elders will never abandon us!"
"Yes, Now that the Ninth Elder is in charge of interstellar exploration, she will not easily give up on their subordinates."
Thinking of the Ninth Elder, Angelo’s thoughts wandered elsewhere. The ninth elder has been specially promoted and appointed by the other elders unanimously.
The reason for this is completely related to the totem of their Federation, The Star Devouring Serpent.
Having said that, he has seen this giant serpent before and that was before he even became their totem. He was still very young at that time. He went to the sea to hunt sea monsters with his father Thor.
It’s just that at that time he didn’t expect that the terrifying serpent would become the Totem of the human race.
It’s truly amazing how fate works.
………
Stevenson walked to the control room, then started to check the situation. On the detection screen, a few red dots were quickly approaching them. They are the spaceships of the incoming fleet.
"A total of seven spaceships. "
Stevenson’s expression froze for a moment, then immediately sneered.
"They want to compete with us with just 7 spaceships. I never saw someone that likes to seek death so much.”
At this point in time, he just regarded the opponent as an arrogant rookie fleet.
"All spaceships, activate your weapons!"
Stevenson commanded his fleet. Although he feels that they can deal with the incoming fleet with just one of his squadrons, he is still planning to destroy them with his full force.
If these people don’t come to their senses, then he will use the “Harsh Reality” to wake them up.
As the seven spaceships got closer and closer to their fleet, Stevenson decisively ordered.
"Destroy their command ship!"
The turbo laser cannon on his spaceship started accumulating energy, ready to launch a devastating attack on the incoming fleet.
However, right at that moment, Stevenson suddenly discovered that on another display screen, one that is connected to a camera on the side of the ship, a dark shadow quickly flashed by.
"What?"
Stevenson's heart almost stopped. He wanted to quickly remind the others, but it was already too late, the shadow had already appeared above their ship.
A huge, terrifying creature appeared in front of their spaceship. Its image was clearly captured by the front camera.
"This is..."
Stevenson's eyes gradually widened. Not far ahead of them, a terrifying giant serpent with a length of 20 kilometers hovered quietly in front of them. The giant serpent raised its head, then stared at them coldly with its giant golden eyes.
"What the hell is this, attack! Attack now!"
Stevenson yelled loudly. "Blast this monster into pieces!"
Why did a Star Beast appear at this time? Why?
Stevenson's heart was filled with annoyance and anger, but suddenly, a thought flashed in his mind.
Serpent?
In an instant, his body suddenly froze. As if struck by lightning, he stood still in his place, his body stiff and cold. "Giant Serpent? Is it that Serpent?"
He suddenly thought of the monster wanted by the SkyRiver Empire. The size of that serpent-shaped pathogen is almost the same as that of the one in front of them.
"It won’t be the same creature, right?"
Stevenson's heart madly drummed. If this giant serpent is really the monster he thinks it is, then they might be truly finished today.
“Gulp!”
Swallowing his saliva, he carefully looked at the giant monster ahead.
But at that moment, the terrifying giant serpent suddenly extended its head towards them, opening its giant black hole-like mouth.
"Ah!!!"
Seeing this scene from the display screen, it looked almost like the giant serpent was about to extend from the screen, greatly frightening Stevenson and his crew.
“Boom!!!”
Along with a huge explosion sound, their entire spaceship shook as the giant serpent just bit a large chunk of their spaceship. The sound of alerts sounded through the spaceship as red light filled the command room.
After just a few more bites, Stevenson's control room was suddenly exposed to space. They all endured the sucking of vacuum using their super strength while staring at the thing ahead.
The terrifying behemoth who destroyed their spaceship with just a few bites chewed on the huge chunk of metal in its mouth before swallowing it.
"This, this, this..."
Stevenson felt his calves shaking. This giant serpent looks even more terrifying in reality. All of them felt at that moment that their end was approaching.
In a cabin on the other side of the spaceship, Angelo and his team were all overjoyed after sensing that the spacecraft had stopped.
They also saw the huge black shadow appearing in front of their spaceship, blocking it from moving forward. It’s a huge crystal black serpent!
"This...It’s the Eighth Elder."
Angelo was stunned upon seeing this scene. He expected that the Federation would send a rescue team, but he never expected that the Eighth elder, their totem, would personally come!
The Eighth Elder is the existence most respected and worshiped by humans. He never expected that he will come to save them this time.
