-----------------------
"Hahaha, someone finally received my messages."
Standing in front of the control board Randall squealed happily, "Brother, are you a gold-digging team member? Are you interested in coming over for a drink? I’m in the Y- Lighthouse 127."
"I said, idiot, don't send random messages in space."
"Brother, don't be so serious."
Randall shrugged. There is indeed such a rule. Don't make noise in space. But few people actually comply with these regulations.
Especially beacon duty officers like him.
In fact, when he first took over this post, a senior told him to send messages into space, maybe someone will stop to talk to him.
"Hey, brother, how is your harvest."
Randall tried to continue the conversation."This place is very remote, but some people occasionally pass by. Maybe you can really buy a lot of good things from them.”
"How about it. Are you interested in coming over for a drink?"
He desperately wanted to talk and drink with this guy. He’s sick of talking to himself and useless pieces of metal all the time. He really wants to talk with an intelligent creature.
"The electromagnetic signals you casually send to space might attract a passing star beast. Perhaps in the darkness that you can't see, there is a terrifying monster staring at you."
A deep voice sounded from the speakers in the control board in front of him. After a moment of silence, Randall said with a wry smile."Bruh, don't be too dogmatic. The things in the interstellar treaty are just to scare people."
"How small is the chance of a star beast passing by here, one-millionth? One-billionth? and even if it passed by here, what can it do? Eat me?"
Randall shrugged and said, looking very indifferent.
What he didn't know was that a huge monster was hovering quietly in the dark space not far away.
A terrifying serpent.
The giant serpent is almost 20 kilometers long and 700-800 meters wide. Its dark scales made it blend with the surrounding dark space, exposing only two giant golden eyes, and they are currently looking at the base not far away.
"Brother, brother?"
Randall frowned. "Are you still there?"
"I said, you don’t have to leave. I wasn’t mocking you at all. I just wanted to give you some tips and talk to you, please come to the base, I have some rare drinks."
After saying that, Randall closed his mouth and waited quietly, but no further sound came from the speakers in front of him. After a while, he sighed and said.
"Did he leave? What a coward, is he really stupid enough to believe that talking in space will attract star beasts?"
Randall shook his head, feeling that this funny guy is probably a newbie.
The so-called star beasts are very, very rare. Furthermore, If the average star beast dares to appear in front of such a base or a powerful spacecraft, then that would be sending food.
Although the other party probably left, Randall felt relieved, at least he finally talked with others after such a long time.
"I should order Alisha and the others prepare a banquet for me, I have to celebrate."
Randall thought internally, then opened the door of the control room and walked out.
His race is rather special, he doesn’t need to breathe oxygen, nor is he affected by the space radiation, so he just casually walked out of the room without any protective gear.
"What a timid guy."
After walking out of the room, Randall was still muttering, "I planned to invite you to watch my maids dance, but you don't have this blessing anymore."
"Haha, there are still guys who obey the Interstellar Treaty obediently. It's hilarious."
“Hahahaha, What shit star beast? I wandered the galaxy for so many years and have never seen it!"
With a look of contempt on his face, Randall continued walking forward. However, right at that moment, a scattered noise sounded from his room, just like the noise released by a broken radio.
“Zzzz!”
The noise gradually became louder and more consistent.
This voice was very deep and weird. Randall's heart trembled upon hearing it. He slowly turned around and looked back at the control room with a puzzled and slightly nervous look.
"What was that sound?"
He stared quietly at the room, wanting to hear the weird noise again, but his surroundings were very quiet. Randall even wondered if that was his illusion before.
"Damn it, what's going on?"
“Zzzzzz!!”
Just as he was pondering, another creepy voice sounded from the control room, this time even louder and creepier.
The sudden noise caused Randall to shudder.
This time he was able to confirm that there was indeed a sound, and according to Randall’s perception, this sound is like the howl of some beast.
"Damn, it won’t be the previous guy trying to scare me?"
Randall gritted his teeth. The only explanation to a beast howl in space is that a star beast is nearby.
There is no way to transmit sound in space, so the star beasts generally simulate sounds by emitting electromagnetic waves, which are automatically converted to howls after reaching other star beasts.
However, upon encountering intelligent creatures, these electromagnetic signals will transform into different scattered and unclear sounds.
The creature that was making this sound was indeed a star beast. It’s the giant turtle that was excitedly running around Fang Yun and howling from time to time.
"This kid, what if he scares the guy below?"
Fang Yun looked at the excited giant turtle in front of him and shook his head helplessly. Despite being over 100 years old, this turtle is still acting like an over-excited child.
Fang Yun might be complaining about the turtle’s childish actions, but he didn’t know that his constant movement led him closer to the base below.
Randall was about to return to the control room to scold that guy, scaring other people in space is not cool. However, he suddenly noticed a huge shadow approaching his base.
When he looked up to the outer space, his eyes suddenly widened.
Two extremely terrifying behemoths are descending towards the base from above.
It’s a terrifying giant serpent that is almost 20 kilometers long and a giant turtle with a diameter of 10 kilometers.
The two giant monsters slowly moved forward, their goal was his base.
"Star...Star beasts...There are really star beasts outside."
Randall looked at Fang Yun and the Giant Turtle not far away with horror, his body shaking to intense fear.
