🕑 Added 2020-09-05 18:00:03 +0000 UTC5/6 chapter, enjoy.
------------------------
In the dark and lonely space, a huge serpent was leisurely flying forward. Not far away from it is a huge spaceship, and behind them are two huge planets.
The Earth and Earth Guard 3 are slowly following behind Fang Yun and the giant spacecraft. They are now looking for a planet with rich geothermal energy to build a supermassive wormhole.
"According to the interstellar map we got, in five years, we will enter the Heavenly Stem Solar System. In the middle of that solar system is a star called Stem. Maybe we can find a planet that has enough energy to build a stable supermassive wormhole there.”
While moving forward, Tang Guo continued to communicate with Fang Yun.
Fang Yun rarely replied, most of the time it was Tang Guo talking.
After becoming a high-level member of the Federation, Tang Guo and her parents seldom met. After all, she is extremely busy with various tasks every day. Furthermore, she is still undergoing some training, leaving her hardly with any free time.
However, the thought of quitting never crossed her mind. It’s because of the change in her status that her parents could stay at ease in the Earth and enjoy their life.
Tang Guo has been a senior member of the Federation for so many years, but she has very few friends. Fang Yun can be regarded as one, so usually, when she is bored or upset, she often talks with Fang Yun.
It's a pity that Fang Yun rarely engages with her conversation. He just silently looked head, advancing like a huge sculpture.
The silent space always gives people the feeling that time has stopped passing. Many times, several years pass without anyone realizing it.
Fang Yun is especially so. He is usually in a daze, and after waking up a few or even dozens have passed. As far as Fang Yun’s life span is concerned, this time is nothing, but when he thinks back to the dull and uninteresting time he spent in these years, he couldn’t help but feel depressed.
Especially in Forever dark space.
"I heard that your engineers are already experimenting with miniaturized space jumping devices?"
After a long time, Fang Yun suddenly asked Tang Guo.
"Yeah."
Tang Guo was lying in the driver's cab. She was startled at first when she heard this sound from her headset, but then she quickly nodded
Fang Yun rarely engages with her conversation.
Hearing Fang Yun's voice again made Tang Guo excited. She didn't regard Fang Yun as a monster or a worshiped guardian deity like most other humans but as one of her few friends.
After all, they have known each other for almost 40 years.
"Although it’s a miniaturized space jumping device, they haven’t been able to install in a spacecraft yet, so it’s still in the experimental stage.”
Despite being in her fifties, Tang Guo still chirped happily in front of Fang Yun, who she considers as her best friend.
"However, they were able to improve our laser cannons."
"Ouroboros, when we are strong enough, we will definitely spread your image to every intelligent civilization in the galaxy for them to admire!"
Fang Yun’s assistance is critical to the Federation. Without his help, just the battle with the cargo spaceship before could have had an entirely different result.
"But I probably won’t live enough to see that day." Tang Guo said sadly.
They probably need at least a hundred, probably hundreds of years to achieve this goal, but even with the current medical conditions, using the best resources in the Federation, she can barely live a bit more than 200 years.
One example of this is elder Lu Cheng. He is over 200 years now, medicines and advanced machinery can no longer maintain his body health. Now, he is basically dispersing his power and authority to his successors’ bit by bit. Eventually, he will completely retire and let the next generation take over.
Even though Tang Guo is a high-level government official now, she still can’t enjoy elder-level care and benefits, so she won’t even be able to reach the 200 years limit. She might even probably pass away in 50 or 60 years.
50 or 60 years might sound long, but it’s actually not much in reality. Especially as Fang Yun got older and older, time became more and more blurred to him.
When he was just reincarnated as a snake, even a day felt very long to him, but now things have greatly changed.
Thinking of this, Fang Yun couldn't help feeling a little sad.
He is not a true snake after all.
Even after so many years of living as a snake, his human character still isn’t completely eroded. He still has emotions.
Tang Guo could be said to be the first human being he had communicated with and his first human friend. Thinking that she is going to die not long after filled his heart with sadness and loneliness.
However, he quickly suppressed these emotions. He can’t allow himself to be sentimental yet.
Currently, Fang Yun's food menu is still mostly meteorites. His speed is very fast, so he no longer waits for humans to deliver food to him, but go search for it himself.
According to the information he received from that space cargo ship, there are also various star beasts flying in the universe.
However, Fang Yun had never seen them.
It’s worth mentioning that the ‘Great Will’ has never appeared on the Earth again. Fang Yun’s dream of eating that guy was never fulfilled.
Time quickly flew, and another five years have passed, Fang Yun and the Federation have finally arrived in the Heavenly Stem Solar System.
"We finally arrived."
Looking at the huge fireball ahead, Tang Guo in her spacecraft let out a sigh of relief.
Heavenly Stem is about five times larger than their previous sun. There are a total of thirty-two planets orbiting around it. It’s a relatively large solar system.
There is no intelligent life here, but there are some low-level cellular organisms on a planet named Pandora. If there is no accident, an intelligent civilization might evolve on that planet after hundreds of millions of years.
The goal of the Federation is that planet; It’s the perfect planet that has just enough energy to build a stable wormhole on. Their destination this time is a solar system called the Brahma starfield.
This starfield consisted of several solar systems and was once controlled by a large mining company, but that company removed all its personnel and machinery after mining the ore on the planets on that starfield.
After many calculations, the Federation decided to establish a base in the Brahma starfield.
Although it’s a starfield abandoned by others, it’s better than most remote areas. Furthermore, there are many planets and solar systems there. They can use these planets to create normal-sized wormhole many, many times, then send their spaceships to search for resources.
In addition, after establishing a base there, The Federation is planning to send a large part of its military force to the Grave Star Battlefield.
There are many forces in the Grave Star Battlefield. Various companies, gold mining teams, pirates, and the army of some small civilizations.
According to the information obtained by the Federation, the forces in the Grave Star Battlefield are complex and chaotic. Many prohibited or rare weapons can be purchased there, and similarly, black market weapons and prohibited substances can also be sold there.
Currently, the most powerful weapon of the Federation is its laser cannon. They can sell weakened or old versions of it there. After all, not all civilizations are like the SkyRiver Empire with technology light-years better than theirs.
Besides, some gold mining teams also need to update their weapons to defend against pirates and star beasts.
Therefore, their weapons still have a certain worth in the Milky Way galaxy.
Soon after, the Federation established a supermassive wormhole in the Heavenly Stem solar system, then went to the Brahma Star Field.
