"Damn, I saw them, space pirates. They used the gravity of that planet to pull us out of the hyperspace!”
Fang Yun captured another electromagnetic signal.
When the spaceship not far ahead discovered Fang Yun and the Federation, Fang Yun and the others also discovered them. It’s hard to not see each other when both sides are in such an empty area of space.
There are no stars around, so there are no messy electromagnetic signals. Using their monitoring equipment, both sides are extremely visible to each other. Fang Yun was even able to clearly see them with his eyes.
The incoming spaceship considers Fang Yun and the other pirates not only because they are in such a secret route but also because they used the gravity of a planet to pull them out of the hyperspace.
If a strong gravitational force is exerted on a spacecraft that is undergoing a space jump, it will result in the said spacecraft getting pulled from the hyperspace to the physical space.
For example, the gravity well generator was invented based on this point.
These pirates shouldn’t have such advanced technology, so they took a different approach by pulling a planet to the corresponding route.
As long as a spacecraft pass through the hyperspace in that route, they will definitely be pulled by the gravity of the planet back into the physical space, giving these pirates the chance to plunder their spacecraft.
"Attack!"
Inside a cabin in the space cargo ship, a bearded man suddenly yelled.
"Hold them away, don’t let them get closer!!"
If these pirates manage to get close, then it will hard to resist them. These guys are usually very fierce and bloodthirsty.
This space cargo ship is very large, with a length of 13 kilometers. They are transporting very important commodities, so they chose such a secret route and employed over 1000 mercenaries.
At the same time, on this space cargo ship, there are also fifty laser cannons and a large number of advanced guns. At the same time, there are hundreds of advanced space fighters ready to launch at any time.
It can be said that their security force is very high.
However, the captain of the space cargo ship, Levi is convinced that someone must have leaked their news, hence he is sure that these pirates must be very prepared.
Damn it!"
Levi’s loud shouts sounded across the command room.
"Damn, are you not ready yet?"
Before the laser cannon is activated, it needs a period of time to gather enough energy. Usually, this period of time is very small and doesn’t really affect anything, but now with pirates right in front of them, Levi is feeling very impatient.
The short energy gathering period that he didn’t care about before caused him now to feel anxious.
“Boom!”
However, right at that moment, a beam of light quickly flew towards them, almost blinding Levi’s dog’s eyes.
"It's a laser cannon!"
The bearded Levi shouted angrily.
"Fuck, they are really prepared."
"Be careful, don't let them break through our defense."
Their spacecraft is also equipped with an energy shield, but for every second that the energy shield is turned on, a huge amount of energy is consumed. Furthermore, if the attack is too powerful, beyond the bearing limit of the energy shield, then the shield is very likely to collapse.
“Boom!!!”
This laser beam quickly reached the space cargo ship and landed straight on their energy shield, creating a large explosion.
The energy shield managed to block the laser beam, but the strength of the attack frightened Levi a lot.
"Damn it! it's more powerful than our laser cannon!"
He stared at the display in front of him in horror.
Not far away, Fang Yun was quickly dashing towards the space cargo ship, the battleships behind him also quickly dispersed and headed towards the cargo ship from different directions.
After locking the space cargo ship ahead, the warlord 1 series fighting started accumulating energy to launch their laser cannons, but it’s the same for the cargo ship.
Laser cannons need time to accumulate energy.
Only Fang Yun's “Energy Beam” skill doesn’t need charging at all.
Furthermore, his current energy beam attack is extremely powerful. He upgraded “Greater Energy Beam” three more times in the past few years, raising its level to level 4, only 1 level away from being maxed out.
In the past ten years, the technology and military weapons of the Federation have undergone a real revolution. Naturally, Fang Yun also grew a lot. He has evolved five times during these ten years.
He used the skill points he got from these 5 evolutions to upgrade “Greater Energy Beam” three times, and “Cell distortion” one time. His combat power and attack methods naturally increased a lot.
Fang Yun's speed was extremely fast. Although he didn’t fully use his speed, he still crossed a distance over 100,000 kilometers in a short amount of time and reached the cargo ship ahead.
Levi is currently giving orders to other people in the command room now.
His space cargo ship belongs to the Hagrid Transportation Industry. The shipment they are transporting this time is extremely important. They have used many safety measures, whether it’s choosing a remote and secret route, using just a single cargo ship to not draw attention, and more...However, he didn’t expect someone to betray them.
"Damn it, if something goes wrong with the shipment this time, the boss will definitely kill me… provided that I can go back alive."
If it were ordinary space pirates, Levi naturally won’t care, but these pirates came prepared and their firepower is seemingly higher than his.
Suddenly, an unusual fluctuation appeared on the display screen of the detector in front of them. Just as they were wondering what it is about, an extremely huge monster appeared next to him.
"What is that?"
The people in the command room screamed in horror. The picture on this big screen is exactly a picture of the space in front of their spaceship.
Right now, one the screen, there’s an extremely huge monster in the dark space. It’s a giant serpent, and it’s currently looking at them.
Its body size is extremely huge. At first glance, it’s even bigger than their spaceship.
In fact, it’s indeed the case, after so many evolutions, Fang Yun has grown to be over 15 kilometers long, which is 2 kilometers longer than this spaceship.
"What kind of creature is this?"
There are some special creatures in space. Those creatures usually eat radiation or various meteorite and minerals. Some of them are huge, and some of them are petite, and they are collectively called star beasts.
However, even the largest Star beast that Levi ever saw is only 8 kilometers long. Star beasts that are over 10 kilometers are extremely rare.
However, there is a special branch of Star beasts in the universe. They are extremely rare and even the smallest one of them is about 10 kilometers long.
They are called the Pathogen.
"Damn it, that thing won’t be a Pathogen, right?"
Levi’s heart almost stopped, his face instantly became pale.
For people like them who frequently travel in space, their knowledge of pathogens is much deeper than most people.
This kind of creature can control other intelligent creatures and latch into a civilization like a parasite, then spread like a virus, hence the name Pathogen.
The people who are controlled by it are called the infected.
Everyone who has been in contact with these creatures will be inspected by the relevant departments of the SkyRiver Empire. This inspection is very cumbersome and time-consuming. Usually taking ten years or even several decades.
Furthermore, intelligent creatures, regardless of their status, even if they are a prince or a king of an advanced civilization, must be inspected.
In fact, this already pretty good, at least they aren’t like primitive or low-level civilization who will be immediately destroyed upon confirming their contact with Pathogens.
In fact, some of them have encountered Pathogens before. Fortunately, the civilization behind them is relatively advanced so they could escape disaster.
However, they still require monitoring detention.
Moreover, encountering this kind of creature, it’s rare to not be controlled by them, and if they get controlled, then the SkyRiver Empire does have the means to detect it. Their final fate will be immediate execution, not even an opportunity to get detained.
Just as Lewell was fearfully thinking about his future fate, the behemoth ahead suddenly opened his mouth and released another energy beams towards them.
