-------------------------
In the dark space, two planets hovered quietly, one is Earth and the other is Earth Guard 3.
The Earth doesn’t orbit around its own star yet, so the Federation is still using the Artificial sun. The same goes for Earth Guard 3.
In the orbit of these two planets, many meteorites are orbiting around them. These are the space fortresses guarding the Earth and Earth Guard 3.
"Everyone, now we need to discuss our next plans."
In a meeting room in the Kyushu province of the Earth, Lu Cheng looked at the old people in front of him and said in a deep voice. They are currently facing an energy crisis.
Their reserve of source stones has dwindled to a low level.
They searched the entire Earth and Earth Guard 3, but they didn’t find any other source stone mine. According to their analysis, source stones should be very scarce and rare across the universe.
In fact, source stones should be something only advanced civilizations possess.
"Even nuclear energy cannot meet our current energy needs."
Lu Cheng said with a worried expression on his face. The warlord 1 battleship series need a lot of energy to remain functional, and just nuclear energy is far from being able to fulfill that need.
Whether it’s the light engine, the laser cannon, or other advanced weapons. Even the wormhole generator, all need a scary amount of energy to work.
"According to Tang Guo and Miller’s reports."
Lu Cheng continued talking. "Even if we don’t expend our “Warlords” team, and don’t update the new warlord battleship series, based on our current consumption, the remaining source stones can only sustain their consumption for another 5 years.”
Five years is too short.
They must find a way to obtain new source stones, or just reduce their current source stones consumption. Most of their current source stones consumption comes from the training of the “Warlords” team.
if they give the order to reduce the consumption, then the “Warlords” team will hardly be able to conduct any training. What would be the point of establishing such a team then?
So, they have only one last option left, which is finding a new source of source stones.
"At present, the nearest planets to us are very far away, we must use Wormhole technology to reach them. We currently locked several targets.”
Behind Lu Cheng, a holographic projection suddenly appeared. It’s a space map with many stars on it.
"In this area, there are many large planets. We can go there and search if there is any Source Stone mine on them.”
"Old Lu, we should be more careful about this, I think it's best to do multiple space crossings while heading that way to avoid someone tracking us or locking our destination.”
An old man sitting at the conference table suddenly said.
Lu Cheng pondered for a while before finally nodded. Although this would be a bit troublesome and increase their workload a lot, in front of the safety of humanity, these are nothing.
Even though they didn’t intercept any electromagnetic waves in this area, it’s still uncertain whether an advanced civilization is nearby.
“Toot! Toot! Toot!”
Suddenly, an alarm rang through the conference room as a red light enveloped it.
"What happened?"
The people in the conference room had stunned expressions. Usually, while they are in the midst of a meeting, the only reason why their subordinates interrupt them is due to an emergency.
They have been living in this area for so many years without any problem, why is there suddenly an emergency? Did something happen?
Upon thinking of this, some of the people in the conference room started to become nervous.
Lu Cheng pressed a red button. Suddenly a face appeared on the holographic screen, it’s Miller.
"Miller, what's the matter?"
Lu Cheng asked directly.
"Elder Lu, we captured a strange fluctuation in space."
Miller had a nervous expression on his face. After all, they shot down one of the SkyRiver Empire’s spacecraft and fled. Now that a strange fluctuation appeared, the first thing he thought about was the fleet of the SkyRiver Empire.
"Oh?"
Lu Cheng's heart also contracted, but he still maintained a calm expression on his face.
He told Miller. "Immediately give the “Warlords” team an order. Prepare for battle!”
"Don't worry, it might not be the fleet of the SkyRiver civilization"
As long as it’s not the SkyRiver Empire, they don’t need to worry that much.
"By the way, have you reported this to Ouroboros?"
Fang Yun’s current status in the Federation is like their protector or some sort of guarding deity. He is even regarded as the unofficial eight elder by figures of power and even the elders themselves.
"His Excellency Ouroboros already know about this matter.”
Miller nodded.
When they just detected the strange fluctuations, they immediately reported the matter to Fang Yun. In fact, Fang Yun felt the fluctuations even before the equipment of the Federation detected it. It’s a space fluctuation.
Miller and Lu Cheng talked a bit more before ending the conversation, but they didn’t break the communication channel. Lu Cheng also suspended the meeting and waited for further news before giving his instructions.
On the other side, in the space between Earth and Earth Guard 3, Fang Yun stared at the empty void ahead. Many spaceships hovered quietly next to him.
In the cockpit of one of the spaceships, Tang Guo stared nervously at the direction Fang Yun was looking at. She couldn’t help but talk to Fang Yun through her earphones.
"Ouroboros, what do you think will appear this time?"
Tang Guo was a little nervous.
"It won’t be spaceships from the SkyRiver Empire, right?"
"Ouroboros, if it’s really a fleet from the SkyRiver Empire, we might not be able to escape this time, but it should be easy for you to escape with your speed, so If something wrong happens, please leave as soon as possible.”
Fang Yun listened to Tang Guo's emotional words but did not respond. Just as Tang Guo said, even if the SkyRiver empire’s fleet truly appear this time, it still won’t be difficult for him to escape.
So he isn’t as worried or nervous as the others right now. However, Tang Guo’s words moved him a bit.
Time passed quietly. Suddenly, the void in front of them started to distort. They are far away from the distortion area so even if it’s quite big, it’s still far from reaching them.
"Damn it!"
Many Electromagnetic waves spread from the incoming spaceship, after capturing and interpreting them, they became something like this. "It's space pirates! Shit! it's a fleet of space pirates!"
"This group of parasites! Damn it! They even knew about the latest secret route mapped by the alliance!”
"Someone must have leaked our route! He better pray I don’t find him or I will make him regret betraying the alliance!”
After Fang Yun received and interpreted these electromagnetic signals, these messages suddenly appeared in his mind.
"It’s not the fleet of the SkyRiver Empire."
After understanding the messages, he immediately sent this information back to Tang Guo and the others.
"Prepare to fight, You don’t have to hold back, They are treating us as space pirates!!"
After hearing Fang Yun's reminder, everyone concentrated. In the next moment, a huge spaceship appeared not far from Fang Yun and the others.
