The team of the SkyRiver Empire stood at the front of the fleet, with the Warhammer in front and the two sky-hunting battleships on the side. The last sky-hunting battleship was above Warhammer.
Not far behind, Roger and the other teams also detected the abnormal energy fluctuations.
"Is it the two Star Beasts?"
The one-eyed Roger looked at the red dot on the screen in front of him. The red dot kept flashing in and out, indicating that its location is uncertain. What’s sure is that it’s in the area ahead.
Of course, on the display screen, there is also a blue dot representing the SkyRiver Empire team. The dots representing team aren’t moving in conjunction with the rest of the fleet, but slightly to the side.
"Looking at this, the SkyRiver Empire must have found the location of these two Star Beasts. No! I must do something, or all my previous efforts will be for naught!”
The fleet that left the Z-32 gathering area to catch the two Star Beasts is relatively scattered. Of course, they did keep the general course, and they are close enough to communicate, but they still kept a distance from each other.
Some weak teams even banded together to deal with the upcoming battle.
They all know that it’s relatively difficult for them to deal with dangerous-level two Star Beasts alone, hence, they decided to band together.
After thinking for a moment, Roger sent the location of the abnormal energy they just detected to all teams. He sent this message using the quantum transmission device, so the news instantly reached even those that are far away.
After receiving the news, all teams changed their course and went in the same direction, which is the area where the abnormal energy fluctuations were detected, right behind the SkyRiver Empire’s team.
"Damn, what are they doing here? Do they want to snatch prey with the Empire? Hmph! I hope that the Empire’s Planet-destroyer fleet raid their home civilizations.”
Seeing that many other teams followed behind them, Redrick said angrily, his sight fell on the staff member in front of him.
"How is it going, have you determined the identity of the thing that emitted the abnormal energy?"
The staff member in front of him tapped on the control panel in front of him for a while before saying.
“The creature that emitted the abnormal energy is indeed a Pathogen, and it’s approaching us."
“Its speed is very fast; We’re expected to meet in about 7 minutes.”
The staff in the command room was preparing to activate the energy shield at any time. After all, every minute of activation requires an extremely large amount of energy. It’s a stupid thing to active the shield this early.
The large company hunting teams and gold-digging teams were also rushing towards them. The ones in the vicinity just accelerated to this area, as for the ones farther away, they directly launched a space jump.
In the Warhammer, since the instruments determined that the incoming creature is likely a Pathogen, everyone had been nervous.
The giant team continued moving forward silently. Time slowly lapsed.
One minute, two minutes, three minutes...
Six minutes have passed. At this time, the energy emitted by that Pathogen was already very strong. All teams suddenly became very tense, they also received the news.
"It’s actually a Pathogen! "
The one-eyed man Roger had wide eyes upon hearing to the harsh siren.
“Why did a pathogen appear now?”
On his spacecraft, there is also pathogen detection equipment, of course, in terms of sensitivity and distance, they are far inferior to the Empire’s instruments.
However, if the distance is close enough, they can clearly detect the energy emitted by a Pathogen.
Furthermore, he clearly remembers last time that when he met the two Star Beasts, the Pathogen detection equipment didn’t ring at all!
"Where did the two Star Beasts we encountered last time go? Why did a Pathogen appear here "
Roger swallowed his saliva, an uneasy feeling arose in his heart. He quickly ran to a room on the side, where a huge screen is attached to the wall. There’s the image of the outer space around their spaceship on that screen.
He watched as several rays of light appeared next to them. It’s the distant teams rushing over.
After calming down and thinking about it, Roger still felt a bit nervous. If it was just a Pathogen, he won’t worry that much.
After all, there’s the SkyRiver civilization fleet in front of them.
However, there are another 2 Star Beasts, and they are at least of the dangerous-class. If they came over at this time, then the situation will become even more chaotic.
Just as he was thinking about his next course of action, the void next to a team not far ahead suddenly started twisting.
Roger’s pupils shrunk.
He quickly reacted and zoomed in that area of space. The scene that appeared on his screen was extremely frightening.
The scene that appeared on his screen was...
A team of five spaceships is moving forward in space. Suddenly, the void in front of them started twisting, followed by a surging golden light.
An extremely huge golden claw suddenly protruded from the void, then slammed on one of the spaceships.
"AH!!!!"
Even though he watched the scene on a screen, Roger still felt like he heard the terrified screams from that spaceship.
The terrifying golden giant claw landed straight on the rear of the spaceship
Without having the time to activate its energy shield. The solid hull shattered like an eggshell, exploding in space and tearing apart all of the living creatures in it.
The nearby spaceships quickly reacted and activated their energy shield.
"This is... space attack? Is it a Third-class Pathogen?"
In the command room of the Warhammer, Kvelver, and Redrick also saw the previous scene. Redrick was stunned, and Kvelver screamed in horror.
"Turn around and leave this place immediately! This is a third-class Pathogen!”
"Furukawa, activate the hyperspace engine, we have to leave this place as soon as possible!"
After all, the Warhammer is just a Victory-class Planet-Destroyer. It will be very risky to face a third-class Pathogen alone, the best course of action is to leave this place now and come back with reinforcements later on.
"Damn it, how can a third-class Pathogen be this close to the central continent without any trace? Why do these useless guards even exist!”
Kvelver gritted his teeth. There are many gathering areas and popular trade routes nearby, not to mention that this place isn’t that far from the central continent. A Pathogen raging here will likely result in great losses!
"After I go back, I must sue them for their negligence of duty!"
Kvelver looked very angry. He clenched his fists and swore that he must let those border guards pay a great price!
"Hurry up, hurry up!"
The HyperSpace Engine needs a few seconds to gather enough power, but these seconds felt like years to Kvelver.
Suddenly, not far away from their team, a huge ripple appeared in space, from which a huge golden behemoth appeared.
A terrifying golden behemoth.
"That's..."
When this giant monster appeared, all the people in the SkyRiver’s Empire’s team fell silent.
"Damn it, start the space jump!"
Kvelver regained his senes abruptly and shouted loudly. His clothes are already soaked in sweat.
Fortunately, the Hyperspace engine was also fully charged at this, it can jump into the Hyperspace at any time.
The Warhammer did exactly that, the space near it suddenly became distorted, then disappeared in the next second.
"Ouf..."
In the command room, Kvelver finally let out a sigh of relief. The frozen Redrick next to him finally responded and said stiffly.
"Kvelver, are we all safe now?"
He was terrified, especially after the appearance of the gold monster. The moment it appeared, he felt the vast and ominous energy it emitted, scaring him to the point of not being able to move.
At that moment, an extreme fear arose in his heart. This kind of fear was is justified, their opponent is a third-class Pathogen. Although their spaceship is not without the power of fighting back, they are still very likely to be the ones to die, and this is an unacceptable thing for him, a proclaimed great noble.
Due to his extreme fright, he didn’t care about his image nor the fact that Kvelver has overstepped his bounds.
"Yes, we're safe..."
Kvelver just said they’re safe and wanted to comfort Redrick, but their spaceship started heavily trembling. The next moment, it was pulled out of the hyperspace.
"Damn it, The gravity generator?!!!"
Kvelver was horrified, followed by extreme rage. Who dares to use the Gravity Generator to pull them out of the hyperspace, especially at such a critical juncture!
According to Kvelver guess, someone must have brought a gravity generator illegally at the black market, then used it at them to pull them out of the hyperspace!
It must be the hunting fleet of those companies!
The reason? Isn’t it obvious? They are afraid to deal with the third-class Pathogen alone, so they pulled them out of the hyperspace to share the pressure!
“Those bastards!”
Kvelver gritted his teeth, he vows that if he can go back, he will make these companies pay a great price!
Just when their spaceship was pulled out of the hyperspace, Kvelver and Redrick were shocked two find that there are two other behemoths not far from their location!
A giant serpent and a giant turtle!
The two giant beasts are quite close to them. The giant serpent glanced at them faintly then shifted its sight to another direction.
It’s the direction of the Golden Behemoth!
The Warhammer hovered silently in space, as Kvelver looked at these two giant beasts with a shocked look on his face.
Why did two Star Beasts suddenly appear now?
At the of the fleet, after seeing this scene, the one-eyed Roger swallowed his saliva. What he was most afraid of still happened.
