-------------------------
Tang Guo looked at the dark shadow passing above them at high speed, and couldn’t help but swallow her saliva. Yesterday, this kilometer-class bird-shaped monster has been following for a long time.
The reason why it didn’t attack them or even approach them is that it’s afraid of the most powerful weapons they are holding.
Lee Sheng and his team are carrying high-energy class cannons. This type of cannon can even penetrate an entire mountain, but it’s too cumbersome to set and very hard to aim with, so it can only be used against giant monsters.
Yesterday this kilometer-class bird suffered a heavy loss in the hands of these cannons, so it didn’t dare to act rashly afterward.
Although this giant bird has supersonic speed, it’s size is just too big. As long as they can aim and lock the target with their laser cannons, then it’s definitely going to hit. Can this bird be faster than light?
"Miss, go quickly."
Lee Sheng was also a bit scared, but he quickly reacted and reminded Tang Guo to continue moving forward. He just can’t wait to leave this fucking place and return home.
"Damn, no matter what anyone says, I will never come back to this place."
Lee Sheng swore internally. He is serious. In this place, he has to be vigilant of everything and everyone. Not only the various monsters and mutant beasts but also the plants, the rocks, the trees.
Everything here is a deadly creature. Even the small plants at their feet could be a scary parasitic plant.
In this cursed place, where most machines, ships, cars, and planes don’t work, where they are under the disturbing attack of the “Demonic Whispers” and where everything around them is potentially deadly. A little careless action can often result in death.
Tang Guo nodded upon hearing Lee Sheng’s words. She was protected in the middle of the team, continuing to walk forward. It’s worth mentioning that after meeting with Lee Sheng and his team, she was given a glass helmet to protect her from the “Demonic Whispers”.
The reason why she was able to insist for so long without a glass helmet is that she was born with an exceedingly high mental power, dozens, or even hundreds of times higher than ordinary people.
It’s precisely because of this that her mother allowed her to come to the Forbidden Land to search for information about the Old Dominator,
Even so, she still had to cry her heart out and even threatened to hang herself before her mother truly allowed her to come here.
She really doesn’t want her beloved father to become a slave to the Old Dominator.
"In another half day, we can finally go out."
The team continued moving forward for another three hours. Henry mentioned for everyone to take a short break before continuing. Looking at the familiar scenery around Lee Sheng finally let out a sigh of relief. They are close.
However, that wasn’t the case for Henry, he became even more nervous. He cautiously reminded his subordinates.
"Don't relax your guard, now is the most critical time."
He knew that the predators who followed then for so long won’t let them go so easily. They are waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike and now is one such opportunity.
“Whooosh!”
Just as he expected, just a few seconds after they laid on the ground, one such predator attacked them. It’s the mutant leopard.
Its 7 meters log body left a series of afterimages in the air, instantly reaching the location of one of their companions. It was one of Lee Sheng’s subordinates. Before he could react, he was bitten and taken away.
"Damn it!"
Lee Sheng cursed loudly. Even if they have powerful laser weapons, they still couldn’t react in the face of that leopard. Lee Sheng felt really shaken in front of such an unsolvable monster. He is truly shaking in fear right now.
"Everyone, pay attention to your surroundings."
Henry warned seriously again. He looked in the direction where the leopard has disappeared with a solemn look.
Even he, a superman by normal people’s standards, could hardly react in front of such a fast creature.
Tang Guo was taken aback again by this sudden attack. She tensed up once again, looking around nervously. She held the package in her hand even tighter.
Suddenly, she noticed that a strange creature, a giant mosquito-like monster emerged behind a person not far to her right.
This frightening mosquito was about the size of a human. The moment it appeared, it plunged its mouthparts into the back of the soldier’s head. The man could only let out a brief scream before his brain, his eyes, and a large amount of his blood were sucked.
"Ahhh!!"
Tang Guo and the soldier screamed almost at the same time. She pointed her trembling finger at him with a face full of horror. He rest of the team immediately looked at the source of the disturbance,
They raised their guns and subconsciously shot at the soldier’s original location, but there is nothing there right now. The giant mosquito has disappeared.
"He died.”
One of the man’s companions walked next to his comrade’s body. Looking at the missing head and shriveled body, he said with a complicated look on his face.
"It's that mosquito."
Henry had a frustrated look on his face. That mosquito is one of the most dangerous predators following them. It’s not only faster than the leopard but also has an optical stealth ability.
Most of the accidents it caused are like this one. When they realize that someone died, the mosquito would have already disappeared.
"Okay, let's continue on our way."
Henry looked back with a look of anxiety, then said to everyone. After just a 1 minute break, they collected their equipment and supplies, then continued moving forward.
"Miss, let's go too."
Lee Sheng looked very worried. He is afraid that the remaining part of this trip won’t be easy to cross.
The team set out again, speeding up a lot, but just as they had expected. This last path in their journey was the most dangerous.
They lost 38 more people, causing their team to shrink a lot. The number of predators following behind them has also decreased to four.
The black leopard, the giant mosquito, the kilometer-class giant bird, and a black wolf.
There were two other predators following them previously, but Henry managed to kill them by using some traps.
Unfortunately, the trap approach won’t work anymore, these monsters are very smart.
The jungle in front of them became sparser and sparser. Seeing this, the mood of Lee Sheng and the rest gradually started to improve.
"Miss, we are finally getting out of this cursed forest!"
Tang Guo also looked excited. As long as she brings this scroll back, then her father’s condition is likely to improve.
"Quick, quick, we must speed up."
Henry urged the people behind him, then started accelerating, trying to get out of this forest as soon as possible.
Tang Guo followed the crowd and ran forward excitedly.
However, right at that moment, the sound of air breaking sounded behind them. Those monsters are attacking again.
"Damn it! these animals!"
Henry looked back and could feel that on their right side, a monster was heading towards them.
It wasn’t just on one side. Another monster was heading towards him from the left side. These bastards are planning to block the advancement of their team.
"Prepare to fight!"
Suddenly, Henry yelled loudly. Just after his cry sounded, two dark shadows broke through the bushes on both sides, then headed straight towards the head of the team.
"Die!!"
Henry yelled loudly. He pointed at one of the shadows on the side, then pressed on the trigger of his laser gun.
"Whew!"
A laser beam flew out and landed straight on one of the shadows, followed by a loud howl. The shadow that was struck instantly ran back, jumping straight on a tree 100 meters away and looked at them with bloodshot eyes.
It’s the black wolf.
This time, the tail of the black wolf was burned by Henry, causing it to look at him with hatred.
Henry managed to drive back the black wolf, but the leopard on the other side of the team succeeded, killing one person on the side
A few seconds later, another scream sounded from the end of the team.
Undoubtedly, the giant mosquito attacked another person at the back of the team.
Henry didn't care about this. He still led the team to stride forward. Fortunately, they are very close to the exit, otherwise running in such a dangerous jungle is almost suicidal.
Ten minutes later, along with the sound of the waves, they finally saw the endless ocean in front of them.
"Everyone, pay attention, we are about to get out of this forest!"
Henry yelled loudly, inspiring them all.
Tang Guo and the others in the back also looked very excited. They can finally leave this cursed forest. However, when they thought about how many of their companions died, they inevitably felt sad.
Currently, the number of people remaining is only 32.
“We’re out of the forest!"
After a while, someone yelled loudly. They finally got out of the forest and came to the beach.
As long as they get on the ship, then no matter whether it’s the mutant animals or the giant monsters. They won’t remain as a threat. With the firepower on their ship, not to mention a few predators, even if it’s hundreds, they can slaughter them.
"We finally got out of this hell hole!"
Everyone's face was filled with excitement.
Looking at the ship floating on the sea surface, Tang Guo’s face was red due to her extreme excitement. She followed behind Henry and raw with her maximum speed towards the ship.
However, right at that moment, a familiar shadow shrouded them and the surrounding area. Looking up, the found that the kilometer-class giant bird is swooping towards them.
