---------------------
"What to do? What can I do to get out of this situation?"
Tang Guo was extremely flustered. She finally found a book with information about the old dominator in it, can she only die before bringing it back?
She isn’t afraid of dying here, it’s just that her dad’s problem will become hopeless to solve after that.
Three years ago, her father suddenly caught a disease. When he was alone, he often became crazy and started talking to himself. Sometimes yelled loudly, and even saying words in some sort of weird language.
Furthermore, his situation became more and more serious with time. After one month, her mother could only send him to one of their private hospitals to heal.
Whether it’s the Old Land of the Forbidden Land, any human that steps on them started to hear some sorts of “Demonic whispers” in their ears.
These “Demonic Sounds” tend to affect people’s mental health with time, as the longer one listens to them, the more unsettled, tired, or even psychological distorted will one becomes.
In the end, people can even go completely insane, crazy, or become mentally ill, and her father is not far from this stage. He is barely keeping a tinge of reason.
However, her father’s mental illness is somewhat different from normal people. Tang Guo heard her mother say that her father had placed some strange statues in his office, worshiping them many times a day.
He even gave many similar statuses to his friends and family.
According to Tang Guo's guess, her father isn’t simply becoming mentally ill or crazy due to these “Demonic Sounds”. Rather, he is starting to get enslaved.
People from such a high-class like them usually know some classified secrets.
Although the human leadership reassured most the citizens by saying that the Pacific-Asia continent is free from those “Demonic Sounds” and that these sounds will never reach their continent.
However, it doesn't mean that the Pacific-Asia continent is totally free from the Old dominator control.
For example, Tang Guo knows that her father isn’t the only victim. Many people were also infected by the owner of the ‘Great Will’, gradually becoming his slaves.
Upon discovery, these people will instantly be taken away by the government. This is all to prevent the tragedy of the Weiner race from repeating, this time with the human race.
Currently, the company is under the control of her mother, and her father is currently receiving treatment. Although his condition has gradually improved, it’s still far from healed.
When he is in his sober state, her father’s condition is no different from normal people. The reason why Tang Guo’s mother was able to control the company was that her father announced it to the public in his sober state. Otherwise, it would be difficult for even her mother to control a giant company like theirs.
The most important factor in keeping the company under control and making the dissidents not dare to show up is because her father comes to the company from time t time in his sober state.
In order to completely restore her father’s condition to normal, she took the initiative to come to this godforsaken place after hearing that there are some information about the Old Dominator and even how to resist his will on this continent.
After entering the Forbidden Land, she went through all kinds of hardships and dangers. Finally, after sacrificing almost 100 people, she reached their destination-a dilapidated research institute.
After searching through the entire research institute, she finally found this scroll.
Unfortunately, after passing through so many dangerous locations and frightening monsters, only a fraction of the original personnel remain, and it looks like even the remaining fraction is nearing its end now.
They don't have much ammunition, and the mutant leopard chasing behind is as fast as sound, no matter how they attack, they can't even scratch it.
“Whoosh!!”
The sound of wind wreaking suddenly sounded.
Tang Guo's heart suddenly shrank.
"It’s here again!"
“Ahhh!!”
Sure enough, in the next moment, a loud scream sounded. She knew that another person has died.
"What to do? What should I do?!"
Tang Guo’s heart was filled with panic and fear. Her mind was blank, but she still ran forward mechanically. If this goes on, it will be her turn sooner or later. More importantly, this scroll can’t be brought back.
"Miss...Miss!"
Suddenly, not far ahead from them, someone was shouting loudly. She raised her head and looked intently ahead, only to find that a team of people is hurriedly running towards them.
"Uncle Lee?"
The moment Tang Guo saw Lee Sheng in the crows, an overjoyed look appeared on her face.
"Uncle Lee, hurry up, a mutant leopard is chasing behind us and our ammunition is about to run out."
Upon banding together, Lee Sheng and Henry along with the rest of the team immediately surrounded Tang Guo and her team in the middle, then started looking around vigilantly.
"Miss, are you okay?"
Lee Sheng walked to Tang Guo’s side and asked with a look of concern on his face.
"I’m okay."
Tang Guo waved her hand, propped her knees with both hands, and after catching her breath, she started looking around vigilantly, but no traces of the leopard were found.
"Uncle Lee, let's go."
She guessed that the leopard might have left after seeing this large group of people. This might be the perfect time to leave the forest.
“Whoosh!!”
However, right at that moment, Tang Guo was shocked after hearing this familiar sound. Immediately after, a loud scream sounded again.
She violently turned her head and looked at the source of the scream, but she could see that a shadow bit one of her companions, then dragged him to the distance, disappearing in an instant.
“Bang! bang! bang!”
The sound of gunshots rung through the entire forest.
However, under such intensive attacks, the leopard was still unharmed.
"Uncle Lee, let's go!!"
Tang Guo was taken aback. She didn't expect that even in the face of so many people, the leopard would still dare to attack. Moreover, it was actually successful, and unharmed at that.
"Lieutenant Henry, Hurry up, let’s go!"
Lee Sheng was also shocked. The speed of this leopard is too fast. Its movement and reacting speed are unbelievable. They couldn’t even react to its actions.
"Everyone follows my instructions and retreat."
Henry didn't even have the idea of staying here. He directly issued instructions to the team, leading hem in an orderly way.
They are going back straight through the path they came from.
As time passed without any other attack, Tang Guo and her team finally started to relax. After all, with reinforcements, their pressure dropped a lot.
However, this doesn’t mean that they completely relaxed.
The leopard is still hanging behind them. Furthermore, two days later, the predators behind them increased a lot, reached at least 5.
Henry hatched a plan to ambush one of their most obvious followers and was able to kill it with the help of the team. It was a mutant Bengal tiger, and one of the slower and more obvious ones, making it easier to kill.
However, due to the constant ambushes by other predators, the casualties are constantly increasing.
Up to now, their manpower went from 120 people to 65, and this is just in two days.
"Miss, hold on a little longer, we will soon get out of this cursed jungle.”
Lee Sheng said with a serious look on his face. It’s unknown whether he said it to comfort Tang Guo or to comfort himself.
During these two days, he felt that his mind was about to collapse due to excessive tension.
Yesterday, he was walking with a guard next to him. Suddenly, that guard bumped into a hidden spider net and got stuck.
Just as he was about to go and pull the man away from the net, a horse-sized spider emerged from the side and bit the chest of the man.
In the end, although the spider was shot into a sieve, the man also died, because the spider turned to be extremely poisonous.
Even more frightening is that when Lee Sheng and the man were just 1 meter away from each other. If it weren't for the fact that his guard was a bit head, he would have been the one to get stuck in the spider net.
“Booom!!”
Suddenly, a huge piercing sound sounded from above.
Tang Guo and the rest immediately looked up, and immediately saw a huge black shadow shrouding them and the surrounding jungle. It’s absolutely a kilometers-level bird.
