--------------------------
Recently, the live broadcast of the Sea Monster Hunting Game has become the most popular program in the human world. Many TV stations and live broadcasting platforms have live broadcasts about this annual event.
It has been five days since the beginning of the game, and quite a lot of teams have already gathered a lot of loot.
The live broadcast of this show obviously can't show the actions of every team. Only the top-level teams and seed competitors have their own personal reporters and camera crew.
Three days ago, a team in the fourth area managed to hunt a whale that is over 800 meters long.
Despite its huge size, this is actually just a young whale. After another 5 years or so, it should grow to maturity, becoming over 1 kilometer long.
Of course, it's more likely to die trying to surpass the 1-kilometer level.
The body shapes every species, including whales, on this planet continues to grow with age and adequate nutrition. This is this planet's special feature.
However, this growth is not without a limit. After reaching a certain size level, they usually encounter a limit, a bottleneck. For example, the first and easiest limit is 100 meters, the second limit is 1 kilometer, etc...
For them to continue to grow and even live, they must break through this limit, and if they fail to do so, what awaits them usually is death.
The most frightening thing is that this can't be controlled by them, they have no way to stop their body natural growth. That's the reason why the number of creatures decreases the bigger their size.
Some Higher-level species don't have a certain limit to their growth. Whales for example don't have the 100 meters limit, their first limit appears when they reach the size of 1 kilometer.
When that team started hunting the 800-meters long whale, it showed superb hunting skills. It took them only 5 minutes to kill the whale, and just a part of the ships in their fleet participated in the battle.
The various kinds of hunting tactics and flashy operations on the screen caused the fire of enthusiasm to burn in the hearts of the people watching the live broadcast. Many people couldn't wait to go to the wild and hunt some land monsters.
While the show was ongoing, special news was broadcasted on the channel of the Sea Monster Hunting Game.
Pirates appeared in the third area, and it's likely that there is more than one group of them.
According to the patrol's guess, at least two pirate groups have appeared in area 3, and have already clashed once.
"Oh, my goodness, pirates? Those guys appeared again!"
Many of the people watching the live broadcast became excited. Compared to hunting sea monsters, they prefer to watch the conflict between pirates and hunting teams.
A fight between hunting teams and pirates, or the sea police and pirates is much more interesting.
The third area was not a popular hunting area, but after the news came out, many recording teams and TV hosts set foot in that place.
They know very well that the battle between pirates and hunting teams will bring more views than fights between sea monsters and hunting teams.
They naturally bought more ships and people to guard them as this will be very dangerous.
However, five days have passed since the news of the emergence of pirates in the third hunting area. Even if many people, including marine police, searched for them, they didn't find their traces at all.
This is actually quite normal, each hunting area is quite big. Although many people went to area 3, it's not easy to find a pirate fleet in this vast area, especially if they are hiding.
Furthermore, these people don't know yet that there is no pirate in that area at all. The so-called Cotton Jack has long been killed by a certain guy.
Of course, that can be counted as a certain type of pirate, and right now, he id just doing some pirate work.
..........
Thor stood at the bow of his ship. He is able to clearly see everything within 3 kilometers. That's his innate ability.
From birth, his eyesight is almost supernatural, and with his age growth and eating the meat of various sea monsters, his eyesight is getting better and better.
His son Angelo also inherited his talent, and his innate eyesight is actually much better than him. Although there is a difference of 28 years between them, their eyesight is actually not that much different.
The talent of Angelo is much higher than him, hence why he was so valued.
At this moment, Angelo and Thor are standing side by side, looking at the situation ahead. Their eyes were fixed on the large shadow that is constantly moving forward about 2 kilometers away.
"Humpback whale,"
Angelo said to his companions behind him with excitement.
"It's a humpback whale that is 300 meters long. Our luck is finally here!"
He waved his fist, his face filled with excitement.
Previously, they got some prey, but they were all lobsters, crabs, and the like, quite small prey.
This type of seafood also has a good market value, the favorite of the civilians, but its value is far from compared to a 300 meters long humpback whale.
"We'll kill this humpback whale first before selling the other seafood."
Thor said to the rest of the crew with a smile on his face.
Although this humpback whale can be dragged away, it's quite troublesome to do so with their ships. Moreover, the blood flowing from its wounds can attract quite a few large sea monsters if they waste a lot of time.
It's okay if it's 2 or 3 sea monsters. If it's more than 5, their fleet will get overwhelmed.
Moreover, he knows that there is a marine police team not far from their area. While the marine police are responsible for their safety, they also have the responsibility of dragging the prey the participating teams hunted and drag them back to the specific place.
Although these whales can continue growing to an extremely large degree, they still didn't break through their race limits, they still need to swim to the surface once in a while to breathe.
This is the same for the humpback whale in front of Thor's team. It has been swimming underwater for a while, and now it's going to surface and breathe some fresh air.
"Splash!"
It floated on the water surface, sprayed a water jet from its nostrils, which gushed about 10 meters into the air, then plunged back underwater and started heading forward.
This humpback whale is quite smart and experienced. It noticed the fleet behind it and knew that if it stayed on the water surface for too long, then many shells will greet it.
In fact, it was forced to swim to the surface and breathe in, otherwise, it would have escaped long ago.
"Speed up, it can't run far!"
Thor raised his right hand and laughed. their tactic is to narrow the distance between them and the humpback whale to about 1 kilometer, then use motorboats to deal with it.
Motorboats have good maneuverability and great speed. It's as fast as the supercars of the old era. They can easily avoid the attack of the clumsy humpback whale.
At the same time, using laser guns on the motorboats to deal with it. Although the power of the energy guns on the motorboats isn't that great, it wins in speed and precision. He plans to drag the humpback whale in an endurance race, exhaust it, then finally kill it with the big guns.
He is planning to save the artillery and high power missiles to deal with the kilometer-level sea monsters.
"It's a pity that after searching for so long, I haven't found traces of that monster again."
Thor said with a depressed face.
He believes that he is fully prepared right now. If that sea monster that left the traces on the deserted island before appears in front of him, he is sure to kill it.
"Huh?"
Thor's eyebrows suddenly rose, he noticed that the actions of the humpback whale seem a bit wrong.
It was originally swimming quite quickly, but now it has accelerated even further. If it was trying to escape before, then it's now truly desperately running for its life.
Although it still can't get rid of their chase, its state is indeed wrong. That panic-filled expression is like its experiencing a life or death chase, which shouldn't be the case for now.
The pressure they exert on it shouldn't make it that panicked.
Thor, who is familiar with whales' biological habits in general, knows that these types of creatures don't show this gesture unless they are truly at a juncture of life and death.
"What's the matter?"
He frowned slightly. Thor continued to watch the humpback whale trying to desperately escape; Suddenly, the whale let out a sorrowful cry.
The sound quickly spread around, shocking the people in Thor's fleet.
Everyone rushed to the bow and stared blankly at the humpback whale.
After the cry sounded out, the humpback slowly sank underwater, leaving a lot of red blood behind.
Immediately, their sonar showed that the humpback whale was powerlessly sinking underwater.
What the hell is going on?
