--------------------------
Fang Yun left the matter of chatting with people on the internet behind. After all, he couldn't stay next to populated islands all the time, there isn't that much prey here and the chance of exposure is too high.
He and the giant turtle went into the depth of the ocean. He is prepared to stay in these places without an internet connection for a long time.
At the same time, back in human-populated areas. The Sea Monsters Hunting Game finally started.
On the Blue Lotus Island, the village's mightiest warrior Thor was wearing a sharkskin armor which he got from a 500 meters long shark he hunted personally.
The armor doesn't smell at all, in fact, it has a light pleasant scent, which is a special characteristic of high-level giant monsters.
The surface of the armor is very smooth. It doesn't look like an armor made from the scales of fish at first glance. Its defense is also extremely high, enough to resist shells from the old age.
Thor's bare arms are bronzed and very thick, much thicker than the average man's tights. They also covered with a set of unknown metal armor.
He was surrounded by a large crowd, his long hair slightly fluttered along with the breeze. He looked like a mightly ancient Viking.
"Thor, you must bring that giant sea monster back!"
Among the crowd, a white-haired old man walked towards Thor, handed him a bowl or bloody-red wine, then said seriously.
Everyone knows what Sea monster the old man is talking about.
It's the sea monster that appeared on the deserted island east of their Blue Lotus Island. According to the traces it felt behind, that sea monster, at the very least, has a size of over a kilometer.
"Everyone can rest assured that I will bring that monster back personally."
Thor took the wine bowl handed over by the old man, then drank all of the wine in it in a single gulp. The crowd cheered loudly while watching this scene.
After the send-off was over, the team finally started acting.
This time there are more than 120 people who went to the sea with thor. Their age ranged from young adults to middle-aged men, and every single one of them is superhuman by old standards.
There are a few young figures mixed with them.
Thor's son, Angelo, and several of his partners.
They are the most powerful amongst the younger generation of the village. Each one of them has a superior physique and a very high potential. They are the future of the village.
It wasn't until recently that they were allowed to go with Thor and the team to hunt sea monsters.
Although this action is a bit dangerous, it's necessary for them to grow up and become a new generation of warriors. They can't see giant creatures in areas near their islands.
Even if they got injured, with the current advancement of medicine and biotechnology, as long they don't immediately die, there is still a high chance of healing them.
Furthermore, even if they encountered some creature beyond the capabilities of their team, they can still discover it early on and take the initiative to avoid it. Their current instruments can detect most creatures over a distance of more than 10 kilometers.
Better instruments can not only find sea monsters early on, they can analyze their body shape, size, species, and even their state. Hence making it very easy for big teams to decided whether to hunt it or avoid it.
Angelo and several of his little friends got on the middle and the largest of their five ships. This is their main ship and the place where the captain and most powerful warrior, Thor, resides.
"Hang our flag."
Thor issued his first order.
To which a man responded bu hanging the flag on their flagpole. The pattern on the flag is that of a sword inserted into the sea.
"We should hang our flag too!"
"Ay Ay sir!"
Angelo said mightily to his partner, to which the boy next to him responded loudly, then hung a small flag on the same flagpole.
The pattern of the flag was that of a skeleton head and two swords crossed above it.
After the flag was raised, Angelo pulled down a black rubber band hanging on his head, covering his left eye and leaving only the right one.
"We are the Blue lotus pirates!"
Angelo shouted loudly.
However, instead of the cheers he expected, a big palm slapped him on his head.
"Ouch!"
"Stop playing and come with me to check the situation!"
"Oh!"
Angelo covered his head and groaned with pain, but still obediently followed his father back to the cabin, as did several of his companions.
Seeing that he couldn't play his pirate game, Angelo was a bit depressed.
Pirates in fact do exist in this world, but they are too far away from the 'ordinary' fisherman who can only hunt 'smaller' creatures in the shallow areas.
The only image of pirates they saw is on TV and on the internet. The arrogant and dashing style of pirate leaders is easy to arouse the admiration of teenagers of Angelo's age.
Angelo and his friends often like to play pirate games.
While the residents of Blue Lotus Island were preparing to set off, many other teams and contestants have already boarded their ships and set off to their preferred areas.
The relatively calm sea has become very lively since the start of the Sea Monster Hunting Game.
Although Fang Yun is still in the hunting area, he hasn't felt the changes in the sea yet.
However, five days later, he encountered a human fleet.
The fleet consists of seven large boats, each of which has is over 100 meters long, and is made of steel and other premium materials.
It's really hard for Fang Yun to believe that these 'large' ships can only be called boats in this area. These 'Large Boats' are countless times better and more advanced than the steamships he saw in 'New Panda Country'.
"These might as well be called warships."
Fang Yun thought internally.
On top of these 'Fishing Boats', there are many kinds of advanced cannons and weapons.
Just a bit before, when these seven ships appeared in his field of vision. He noticed that they were hunting a 500 meters long shark.
"Huh? It's not a fishing boat? Is it a warship?"
Fang Yun suddenly noticed the flags fluttering on those ships, they are actually the flags of a menacing skull with red eyes.
This pirate group might fear that others don't know that they are pirates, so they have hanged such a noticeable and big flag.
No way, although pirates love to rob other people, they don't want to spend a lot of efforts nor do they want to risk their lives fighting others, so their strategy is to hang such a noticeable flag to scare other ships, coupled with their reputation of torturing and killing anyone who dares to resist.
Most people they catch up with, surrender immediately.
The strategy of most fishing teams that encounter them is to drop a large number of monsters' bodies, then quickly escape.
After obtaining a large number of sea monsters' bodies, they will follow their "Professional" Ethics and no longer chase the team, apart from a few lunatics who don't follow the unspoken rules of the industry.
Of course, there are exceptions to everything. If some pirate dares to attack top-ranked teams or the governement protection team, then what would await them is endless chase and destruction.
In fact, just as Fang Yun thought, this is the fleet of a pirate group. Furthermore, they are also quite known amongst fishermen and the marine police department.
Cotton Jack.
This is the nickname of the pirate leaders because he always wore cotton striped trousers and jackets.
This pirate group's favorite activity is to rob fishermen during their exhausted hours after just catching some big sea monster.
This time because of the Sea Monster Hunting Game, they got off from their old stronghold on an unnamed island and are preparing to rob the participating teams.
