Chapter 261: The War is On The Verge
🕑 Added 2020-05-22 02:51:53 +0000 UTC"Uncle Mo, come here, something has happened!"
In a surveillance room, Zhen Zhou was looking at a display screen. He waved his hands in a certain direction while shouting;
A middle-aged man not far away walked over and looked at the screen.
"What's going on, Xiao Zhou?"
While also looking at the screen, he asked Zhen Zhou.
"Within our surveillance range, 58 kaiju embryos have disappeared from their place near the mother of kaiju."
Zhen Zhou pointed his fingers at the screen while saying.
"So much?"
Monan was taken aback. Only a few hours have passed since he last checked, how could so many kaiju hatches in such a short period of time?
The scray thing is that this is only within the range they monitor, there are 19 other districts as big as their district. God knows how many kaiju have hatched in all of these areas combined.
"Xiao Zhou, immediately report this to the chief commander."
Monan said solemnly. Recently, according to the statistics, the number of kaiju hatching every day is getting bigger and bigger. This is not a good sign.
"Understood"
Zhen Zhou also knew the seriousness of the matter this time. He nodded solemnly and turned around. Just as he was about to leave the surveillance room, the screen in front of them suddenly flickered, then turned black.
"What the hell is happening?"
Monan stared at this scene in amazement. Zhen Zhou was also shocked, but after calming down and thinking about it, he came to a conclusion.
"The unmanned surveillance plane we installed there was destroyed."
"Hurry up and switch to another drone."
The place where they are currently in is not next to the giant mother kaiju. They are in the base on Guardian 4. They are monitoring that place through advanced military drones, and small airships not far from the aliens' base.
After hearing Monan ’s instructions, Zhen Zhou hurriedly tapped on the control board, but after some time, he suddenly stopped. He looked up at Monan and said.
"Uncle Mo, All the unmanned surveillance drones in our district have been destroyed. "
Hearing this, Monan brows deeply furrowed.
There have also been instances of drones being destroyed before, which are basically due to the levels 6 kaiju passing by them. There are a lot of levels 6 kaiju near the aliens base. This is one of the major reasons why they didn't rashly attack the aliens base.
However, the have been no instance where all the drones in a certain district were destroyed at the same time. The distance between each drone is at least 3 kilometers. Moreover, the number of drones in each district is very big.
Something is wrong, Monan guts are telling him this.
Monan took a breath, then quickly walked out of the surveillance room with a somber face.
While Monan was running to report to his superiors, on the side of the Guardian 5, Fang Yun was swallowing the many ancient and mutant creatures attracted by the giant turtle.
Not far away from him, on Guardian 5, an army is conducting combat training, each one of them is equipped with various guns and a liquid metal suit.
Needless to say, most of the airships are also equipped with special weapons made from liquid metal.
The individual combat capabilities of these soldiers wearing liquid metal suits are very high.
While eating various sea monsters, Fang Yun was watching these soldiers perform tactical exercises. This is his only pass time right now.
Just as Fang Yun was eating giant sea monsters like popcorn and watching those supersoldiers undergo tactical training, he suddenly felt familiar biological waves not far away.
"The biological waves of the kaiju."
Kaiju can expertly hide the biological waves emitted by their giant bodies, making it very difficult to detect them. As long as they don't directly appear, humans don't usually discover their existence.
They used this camouflage method to launch surprise attacks on the human alliance many times, and this time is no different. However, although they might be able to hide from human radars, they can't hide at all in front of Fang Yun.
"A large army of kaiju is coming towards the base."
"Roar!!!"
Fang Yun thought internally. He raised his head and roared loudly to the sky, sending out large shockwaves from his mouth, creating large waves and giant ripples in the area near him. His voice traveled across dozens of kilometers, completely covering the human living area around.
Those soldiers training on Guardian 5 were the first to hear the deafening roar of Fang Yun.
In a training square, Hook looked at the team of soldiers wearing liquid metal suits and undergoing tactical training.
Of course, they like to call them super bio-soldiers.
He is currently watching a team of soldiers undergoing a running test.
This is not an ordinary running training. The speed standard required from each of these soldiers is 150 km/h. This is just the basic necessary speed, they must be faster, that's why they are undergoing these brutal training.
Only in this way can they fit with the "Alien Bio-Suits" on their bodies.
"Xiao Yu, have you recorded the physical abilities of these soldiers?"
Hook watched as the super bio-soldiers stopped running, then sat on the ground and gasped for breath, then asked his assistant next to him;
"Professor, all recorded."
Hearing the youth’s answer, Hook nodded. He is the leader in charge of this project. He needs to get first-hand physical data of these super bio-soldiers to conduct further research.
Just as he was about to say something to his assistant, a deafening roar sounded from the distant sea.
"Oh?"
Hook looked surprised. He looked in the direction from where the roar sounded. On the sea surface a few kilometers away from their island, a behemoth raised its head and looked at the area in front of it.
Even if they were more than 5 kilometers away from each other, he was able to clearly see the behemoth body and face, showcasing the enormous size of that behemoth.
"Giant Serpent?"
Hook was a bit confused. The giant serpent never bothered before. They had a subtle cooperative relationship where each one was benefiting without bothering each other. This is the first time he heard it roar, why did it do that?
He looked in the direction that the giant serpent was looking in, frowning.
"This giant serpent... What does it mean?"
He looked a bit confused at first, but in the next moment, his pupils suddenly shrank. In the direction where the giant serpent is looking, many giant dark shadows suddenly appeared, swimming straight towards their base.
"Kaiju! All of these shadows belong to kaiju!"
After Hook realized that, he shouted loudly.
"Everyone! go to your post! prepare for war! Kaiju are attacking!"
"Quick, Hurry up!"
Hearing the student cries, all the super bio-soldiers looked to the distance with a shocked look. Then after a short moment, they scrambled to their posts.
It wasn't just the bio-soldiers, almost all the people on the island looked in the direction where the giant serpent was looking at.
Not far away from their base, many tall shadows emerged from underwater, then quickly swam towards their base. It was a very large army of kaiju.
"Kaiju Attack! Kaiju Attack!"
On some corner of the island, a person was screaming loudly, and at the moment when his voice sounded, a harsh alarm rang.
"Roar!!!"
After the deafening roar of the giant serpent, the kaiju army didn't bother to hide anymore. They roared loudly, seemingly competing with the giant serpent.
It wasn't just Guardian 5 that was attacked by a kaiju army. Almost all the human islands on the Grass sea were attacked by a kaiju army.
The harsh sounds of sirens sounded through the Grass sea. Humans are quickly preparing for an unprecedented battle.
This will be the war that will decide the fate of humanity. Whether they will emerge as a victor and continue to advance or lose the war and get exterminated. Everything is at stake.
The war is on the verge.
