Chapter 257: Exploration Team
🕑 Added 2020-05-16 02:15:30 +0000 UTCAt the beginning, even level 5 kaiju presented a great challenge for them. As for level 6 kaiju, they were almost unsolvable.
In the past three years, they aren't even sure how many times they were attacked by them. The only reason they were able to resist until now is the giant serpent.
Fang Yun is not selflessly helping the human alliance. After each war, the monsters' bodies left behind are his loot.
In addition, the human alliance is acting as his shield right now, it can't be destroyed yet.
Fang Yun also noticed several times that the kaiju were specifically targeting him. While touring around the area around, he was surrounded several times by an army of kaiju led by at least 3 levels 6 ones.
However, after evolving so many times, even 3 levels 6 kaiju aren't his opponents right now.
These three evolutions rewarded him with a total of 96 skill points, which he used to upgrade "Aegis Field" once and "Energy Beam" twice.
These two skills have become the following, "Aegis Field" (3/5), "Energy Beam" (4/5).
In addition, the most amazing thing that happened to him in the past 3 years is that a new skill was refreshed. "Plasma Cloud"
As the name suggests, after activation, Fang Yun will release a large cloud of plasma-like substances that will greatly interfere with technology products.
Whether it's a missile, airplane, or an aircraft, once they enter the plasma cloud, the strong interference will generate a rotating torque. This will create an amazingly large centripetal force, almost like a tornado. The things inside the plasma cloud will be torn apart due to the large centripetal force
However, he didn't upgrade this skill for the time being, "Aegis Field" is enough to deal with technology weapons for now. Thinking about it, the skills that have appeared recently seem to be mainly for dealing with technology weapons.
He is currently facing two powerful civilizations. The mysterious human civilization and the mysterious alien civilization. The aliens' technology tree is mainly biological, and he doesn't have any conflict with the human civilization so he doesn't really need "Plasma Cloud" right now;
"Shoo!!"
Fang Yun was wandering next to "Guardian One". The roars of aircraft engines sounded next to his ear. He knew that there was another plane flying up. Glancing at the lively islands around, he swam to the distance.
In fact, he doesn't approve of the human alliance madly heading forward. After all, he still doesn't know anything about the capabilities of the mother of the kaiju, the giant mountain-spider.
It's a pity that he doesn't have the ability to communicate with people yet, or he would have told them.
In fact, he is doubting a bit whether that giant spider can even more. Otherwise, why didn't it come to attack humans until now?
While Fang Yun was thinking of this. 20,000 miles away, three airships were flying forward, two of which were supply ships and one was a battleship.
In the battleship's command room, giant monitors are showing the situation outside, and in front of each monitor, a person is sitting.
These people are all looking at the monitors in front of them, surveying the situation outside.
Above the giant monitors, there are smaller screens on which the condition of the battleship is shown.
This is a team that came out to investigate the aliens' base. They have been traveling ahead for almost 2 days.
At present, their team is the fleet that is farthest away from the "Guardian One" amongst all teams going out for exploration.
According to the plan, they will travel for another 100 kilometers. If they don't find anything, they have to go back.
"Sir, we are about to reach the limit of this expedition, should we get ready to return?"
After a while, in the middle of the command room, a soldier wearing a headset suddenly turned around and said to a middle-aged man sitting in the middle of the control room.
This middle-aged man is the captain of this battleship.
Captain Monan pondered for a moment, then said.
"Prepare to return."
When this command was made, Monan shook his head helplessly.
"How wide is this sea area?"
Just the currently discovered area is much bigger than the Pacific Ocean, not to mention the area that is still undiscovered.
"Let everyone relax, don't be too nervous."
Monan looked at the tense people in the command room and said. During this time, they have been quite nervous and on guard for aliens attack. Especially level 6 kaiju.
Now that they are ready to return home, there shouldn't be any problem, so Monan urged them to relax a bit. It's not good for their mental health to remain tense for too long.
"Uncle Mo, do you think that the aliens' base is at the end of this sea?"
Suddenly, a young soldier beside Monan couldn't help but ask. Their relationship seemed to be very good.
"Why, can't you eat this bitterness?"
Monan laughed and said.
"I said, Xiao Zhou, old Lin used a lot of relationships before transferring you from the navy force to our air force. You can't hold this bit of hardship now?"
The young soldier whom Monan called Xiao Zhou is called Zhen Zhou.
He used to be a crew member of the navy fleet but was later transferred to their battleship as a technician. The safety factor here is higher.
This Xiao Zhou is the young soldier who attacked the level 5 crocodile-kaiju for his crush, that is the pilot of "Mad Tiger".
"Of course not, I'm just curious."
Zhen Zhou smiled sheepishly and asked Monan again.
"Uncle Mo. If we find the aliens' base, are we going to attack them?"
"Of course. We have to test their firepower."
Monan said flatly.
"I know what you want to ask. aliens are actually not that scary, especially now that our weapons have advanced."
"Think about it, if those aliens are really a lot stronger than us, will they sit and watch us move towards their nest?"
"We have to remove these aliens as soon as possible so that our Blue Planet can return to the previous state."
Hearing this, Zhen Zhou nodded on the surface, but he disagreed internally. He doesn't think that their planet can really return to the previous state. Especially after the death of more than half of the world's population.
"Captain, you might want to see this."
A soldier wearing a headset suddenly turned around and said to Monan, his voice slightly trembling.
Monan hurriedly looked over, then strode out over there.
Zhen Zhou also got up and followed him, walking behind the captain. Monan didn't care about him, because he was completely attracted by the thing he saw on the screen.
"Uncle Mo, what's wrong?"
Zhen Zhou was curious about the reaction of Monan and the soldier. He probed his head, looking at the display, after which he immediately froze.
