Chapter 254: Taking a Small Step Forward
🕑 Added 2020-05-12 17:16:08 +0000 UTC"Splash!!"
Two huge monsters fell back on the water surface, creating gigantic waves, and splashing a large amount of water. At the same time, blue blood quickly spread from that place to the surrounding area.
Fang Yun bit the level 6 kaiju on its hind legs, then he wrapped his long body around it, squeezing the air out of its lungs.
"Woo!"
A loud roar sounded from the mouth of the level 6 kaiju. It started to madly struggle, but no matter how it struggled, it couldn't get rid of Fang Yun's entanglement.
Although the level 6 kaiju was still struggling, Fang Yun pay attention to that. He opened his huge mouth and directly tore off a piece of flesh from it.
The level 6 kaiju still wailed loudly, but its voice became weaker and weaker, completely dying off in the end. In less than ten minutes, the 300 meters long dragon was completely devoured.
"Hiss!"
Fang Yun flicker his electricity pole-sized tongue, making a loud hiss, then plunged underwater and headed to other directions.
The soldiers on the nearby large ships were relieved at this moment. No one would be relieved to see such a huge monster beside them. Even if it doesn't hold any alive, so they are very relieved at the sight of that monster leaving.
"What kind of creatures is that giant serpent? It seems to have the ability to grow infinitely, and its growth speed is too fast."
On 'Panda country' mothership, a middle-aged man in a scientist's uniform looked at the giant serpent that is constantly devouring the bodies of ancient and mutant creatures and sighed.
Beside him, are his two students.
"Professor Hook, I heard that you proposed the theory that the giant serpent is the python that appeared in the Ugandan Prairie?"
A young man wearing glasses asked him from behind.
Hearing that, the 46 years old Hook nodded and said.
"In fact, I suspect that the giant serpent is the 12 meters python that was found in Wulong mountains more than 10 years ago."
"The one that was found by you and your teacher. Is that right professor?."
The young man on the right said in a timely manner.
Hook nodded after hearing that.
"That python, like the one that appeared in Uganda, It's a gray python."
"In the past, I also suspected that the gray python of Wulong Mountain is the one that later appeared in the Ugandan Prairie, but that seemed ridiculous at the time."
"How can a python grow so fast?"
After saying this, he let out a long sigh,
"However, if this python can evolve continuously, that would make sense."
"Of course, this just my doubt. I'm not absolutely sure that the Wulong mountain python, the Ugandan Prairie python, and the giant serpent are the same creature."
Hook did not give a definite conclusion. He looked at the giant serpent that is happily eating the bodies of all kinds of giant creatures and frowned.
If it is really the same creature, then this giant serpent has transformed from a common python to the most powerful lifeform on the planet in just a bit over 10 years.
Even if an aliens came to the blue planet, they just ended as food fueling its growth.
It feels like ... like a protagonist.
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but smile bitterly. As the most advanced creatures on this planet, human beings have now lost to a low-level life form like pythons in terms of survivability.
Fang Yun didn't know that an old friend is currently watching him. He didn't even know that Hook is still alive and is currently on this battlefield.
Moreover, even if he saw Hook, he will probably not recognize him. After so many years. He wouldn't remember the old professor and his young disciple that he met on Wulong mountain while fighting a normal tiger.
Not to mention that after more than 10 years, the young disciple has become a middle-aged man.
"One hundred million points."
Fang Yun thought internally. He wondered if he could gather the bio-energy necessary for evolution today.
He was a little excited, just as he was about to continue eating the bodies of the giant creatures floating on the water surface, some unexpected happened.
The other level 6 kaiju roared loudly, then fled back to its original path.
The rest of the Kaiju and ancient/mutant creatures followed it. All the giant creatures that were aggressively attacking the fleet in the past second fled away the next second. Without waiting for the human alliance to react, they completely disappeared.
While Fang Yun was still dreaming of evolving today, he was dumbfounded at the sight of the giant monsters fleeing in all directions. He could only watch this speechlessly.
"Sure enough, It's not going to be that easy."
Fang Yun shook his head in disappointment, but he did not feel angry. The human alliance will definitely continue moving forward, and the aliens who are ruling this sea will definitely send sea monsters to stop them. He will not have a shortage of food in the future.
"By the way, there is the human alliance now. These Kaiju will not completely focus on me, but if the human alliance is destroyed ..."
A thought suddenly emerged in Fang Yun's mind. Now that he thinks about it, he has been targeted by the aliens before. If he faces them alone, that would be dangerous.
When he was on Nubra Island, the group of aliens tried to capture him at that time, but due to a misjudgment of strength, they slipped away in the end. The same thing happened near the 'Panda country' coast.
Fang Yun felt that he should pay attention to this point in the future, the aliens won't give up on trying to capture him.
While thinking about this, Fang Yun plunged underwater, disappearing from the vision of the human alliance. He dived to the depth of 2 kilometers before stopping.
On the sea, the fleets of various countries have rearranged their teams. Right now, from the original 950 ships, the whole fleet has 632 ships remaining. Hundreds of ships have been destroyed.
In the air, there are a total of 112 large airships remaining, 23 of which crashed, and it goes without saying that the fighters that have been shot down are more than 50. The soldiers that have been lost in this battle are over a thousand.
If it wasn't for the sudden appearance of the giant serpent, then killing one of the level 6 kaiju, causing the other level 6 kaiju to order the monster army to retreat, their fleet would have had even more severe losses.
This is just the first wave of attacks that they encountered after entering the grass sea. The attacks they will encounter next will undoubtedly be more fierce.
Can their fleet survive?
In the entire fleet, the atmosphere seemed a bit heavy. The huge team slowly moved forward without any intention of retreating. Since they chose to take the initiative to attack the aliens' base, they have to continue until the end.
Time passed little by little, probably five days later, they finally reached an island. That island is quite big. At least 30 kilometers in diameter.
In addition, next to that island, there are several other relatively smaller islands, circling around the bigger one. This is a natural barrier, which is easy to defend and difficult to penetrate.
After a short deliberation, the fleet decided to stop on this island temporarily, using this island as a transit point for them to invade the aliens' base.
First, a large number of marine ships were docked near the island, then the people on the ship disembarked and landed on the land, after which they started cleaning the island.
A group of dinosaurs could be seen at the depth of the central island. After boarding the island, the soldiers wore mechanical exoskeletons and held laser weapons. They quickly rushed towards the jungle.
As for the airships and motherships, Most of them landed on the nearby island. After which many soldiers disembarked, then started looking for a place to rest.
This place is still affected by electromagnetic waves, but all of these ships are equipped with anti-EMP technology, so they didn't worry about that.
Amid the roars of Dinosaurs, the sound of guns and explosion rang in the central island. The soldiers started their cleaning operation.
