Chapter 269: Cataclysmic Explosion
🕑 Added 2020-06-04 20:57:38 +0000 UTCFang Yun has reached the edge of the grass sea. Since learning that the human alliance is preparing to launch the final strike, he has been escaping to the edge of this sea.
Right now, he is swimming towards the deepest part of this sea area. Not long after, he reached the seabed. He chose an area that relatively flat, so even if something happened, he won't get buried.
He laid on the ground and waited quietly.
On this day, mankind will make a crazy move.
Back to Guardian 1, two huge fighters took off. They flew into the air at supersonic speeds, heading straight towards the kaiju mother.
Not long after, the two giant fighters reached the area above the giant spider kaiju, at about a height of 100,000 meters.
At this height, levels 6 kaiju can barely move forward, this is basically their height limit. Other flying kaiju can't even reach this height. They can safely move at this height.
In an underground conference room, Lu Cheng and the other big shots looked at the holographic screen in front of them with a solemn and even nervous look.
The image in front of them is that of the two giant fighters flying in the sky.
"The aircraft has arrived at the target location, the bombs will be released after 10 seconds."
A neutral mechanical voice sounded in the conference room, after which a countdown appeared on the corner of the holographic screen.
"10, 9, 8..."
"...3, 2, 1"
The moment the countdown ended, the two bottom hatches of the two fighters opened, from which 10 giant bombs fell down.
These dozen bombs are extremely huge. They are the ultimate strike of humanity and the most powerful weapon they have, each of these hydrogen bombs has an equivalent of 500 million tons, detonating them all at the same time can cause terrible consequences.
After all of these hydrogen bombs explode, their explosion will affect the entire grass sea and even the outside world. Whether it's the kaiju, ancient/mutant creatures, or even ordinary unmutated native creatures, all of them will face an extinction-like crisis.
"Wooosh"
The hydrogen bombs quickly fell down. Under the acceleration of gravity, their speed became faster and faster, eventually reached the point where they can't be intercepted at all.
This is the true reason why the two fighters flew at that high.
After releasing the ten hydrogen bombs, the two fighters quickly flew away.
Although they are almost certainly going to be destroyed, they still want to try and escape.
After reaching the height of 10 kilometers above the sea surface, the speed of the bombs reached an incredible point. The sound of the air getting torn apart is enough to deafen anyone.
Below, many levels 6 kaiju as well as other flying monster tried to intercept the hydrogen bombs.
However, the hydrogen bombs are too fast, they couldn't even slow them down.
A few seconds later, the hydrogen bombs have reached the level of 5 kilometers above the sea surface. This time, dozens of levels 6 kaiju as well as hundreds of flying monsters formed a net in the sky, trying to stop the ten bombs from continuing to move forward.
"BOOM!!!!"
An extremely terrifying explosion sounded. Its sound can be through the whole grass sea and even in the outside world. Whether they are on the ground surface or in the bases underground.
The closer they are to the grass sea, the most clearly they can hear the sound of this explosion. Some of the closer people couldn't bear the pressure and started screaming.
In the area where the kaiju mother is located, the hydrogen bombs exploded mid-air, after which ten huge suns appeared. The shock waves spread at an incredible speed,
After a moment, the shockwaves hit the sea surface, making an incredibly loud explosion sound, followed by the formation of a huge tsunami, which quickly spread to the distance.
The explosion was visible from space, the huge shockwaves and blinding light are clearly visible from outside the planet.
The tsunamis that were created are thousands of meters tall. It's not just a single one, but hundreds of tsunamis appeared one after the other
These tsunamis quickly spread to the distance, causing the entire ocean to ripple.
Despite its huge size, It's impossible to observe the situation of the kaiju mother. The endless waves and the giant shockwaves completely covered its gigantic body.
The tsunamis quickly crossed the entire grass sea then quickly crossed the Indian Ocean.
The African continent was quickly submerged, followed by the Asian and the European continent.
This scene is even more exaggerated and terrifying from the tsunami of the movie "2012". Just the tsunamis have caused a terrible scar to the world.
At the same time, the impact of the hydrogen bombs explosion also caused a shift in the tectonic movements. This has to do with the particular place where they exploded and their terrifying power.
"Rumble...!!!"
The crustal movement has created even more disasters throughout the world.
Almost all volcanos in the world erupted at the same time. Endless magma erupted from the giant craters, volcanic ash, and smoke spread almost everywhere in the world.
"Ah!!"
In the many underground bases around the world, the survivors noticed that the ground started shaking violently, then the surrounding walls began to crack, and dust and small stones started falling from the ceiling.
"Earthquake! It's an Earthquake!!"
Fear-filled screams sounded everywhere. The appearance of earthquakes while they are in such a closed space scared the shit out of them. They are afraid of being buried alive.
Fortunately, these underground bases have been specially constructed. Their resistance to earthquakes is quite high.
Even an earthquake of this magnitude didn't cause them to collapse.
The earthquakes continued for a long time, one after the other, almost neverending. Many people had pale faces, their bodies continued trembling due to fear.
"Rumble!!"
The tsunamis crossed the Indian Ocean, submerged the African continent, submerged most of the Asian and European continent, crossed that Pacific ocean, then submerged half of the American continent.
It can be said that apart from some high-altitude areas in the world, most of the lands around the world were swept by the tsunamis.
"Damn, this explosion is so powerful."
Fang Yun was lying on the ground at the bottom of the sea. Even he felt that the ground is shaking. Even the water at the depth of the ocean is surging, making him feel a bit dizzy.
Some parts of the ground started cracking, after which magma spewed out. The temperature of the area around was raised to a very high level.
The magma on his scales and the high temperature of the water has caused Fang Yun to suffer a lot. Even a small part of his scales cracked, causing him to be injured.
However, these small injuries quickly healed back under his horrifying regeneration ability.
At the bottom of the sea, Fang Yun calculated the time internally. Probably ten days later, the vibration and rolling have stopped. He can finally go out.

Translator Note:
The equivalent of the previous explosion is wrong. It's actually 3 hydrogen bombs with an equivalent of 10 million tons, I accidentally added a zero, sorry for that.
Hope this chapter makes more sense now.
