Chapter 266: The Last Battle
🕑 Added 2020-05-30 22:02:14 +0000 UTCThis is probably the case.
Although the kaiju mother is extremely huge. The power of its umbilical word attack is very weak. Of course, only relative to its size.
In fact, the strength of this kaiju mother is still much higher than that of the levels 6 kaiju. Its defense is even more exaggerated. Even missiles that can seriously injure level 5 kaiju with one strike can barely scratch it.
On the contrary, only 70 airships remain from the fleet composed of hundreds of airships and motherships. Even the number of fighters, helicopters, and weapons on them has decreased substantially.
No matter what type of aircraft. Whether it's powerful airships, huge fighters, or advanced helicopters. As long as they get close to the kaiju mother, they have almost no chance of surviving.
The only action that can be called a solution, for now, is to sacrifice many aircraft and manpower to give people the chance to attack the kaiju mother.
Even the powerful missiles from the main motherships can barely cause some damage to the kaiju mother. A pit with a diameter of ten meters or even dozens of meters on the back of the kaiju mother might look serious, but compared with its gigantic size, that can be barely called a scratch.
"Chief Lu, our fleet is currently unable to cause any substantial damage to the kaiju mother. We need support."
The leader of the fleet, Li Nan, was standing in the command room at this moment. He looked at the country leaders in the holographic screen in front of him with a solemn look then said.
Previously, when their fleet just reached the area near the kaiju mother, they were about 10 kilometers above the sea surface, but they still lost more than 20 airships in just the first wave of attack.
Later, after realizing that this height is unsafe. Li Nan ordered the fleet to rise to a height of 20 kilometers.
Since then, he has been directing the fighters and helicopters on each airship to attack the kaiju mother. Unfortunately, despite all that sacrifice, they still weren't able to deal substantial damage to the kaiju mother.
The most important thing is that he noticed that this kaiju mother has a terrible regeneration ability. They must not interrupt the attack waves, otherwise, all of their previous efforts and sacrifice will be null. All the injuries that the kaiju mother suffered before will heal.
Not far away from Guardian 1, Fang Yun observed the scene in the conference room through the monitoring system.
On the holographic screen in the middle of the room, the image of the ginormous kaiju mother is clearly presented.
This giant kaiju mother is suffering from endless weapons bombardment. Mushrooms clouds and small suns are rising from its body every minute.
The kaiju mother is waving its hundreds of umbilical cords at terrifying speeds, intercepting many missiles and bombs, and striking down all sorts of aircraft, a truly shocking scene to behold.
It is worth mentioning that the human alliance has roughly calculated the size and shape of this giant kaiju mother.
It has the appearance of a spider, with a round head and a huge abdomen.
There are countless umbilical cords sticking from its abdomen, most of which are connected to kaiju embryos. It's only using a small part of them to attack the human fleet.
Its body length from the beginning of its head to the end of its body is about 50 kilometers. Its belly diameter is about 40 kilometers, and its head diameter is around 30 kilometers. A truly fat spider.
This is an unprecedented huge creature. It's the undoubted number one biggest creature that humanity has ever seen. The second-ranked creature in terms of size is the giant serpent.
However, the second-ranked giant serpent is only 600 meters long. In terms of size, it's completely outclassed by this giant spider kaiju.
At this time, the fleet changed its target of the attack to the head of the spider kaiju. Only later and explosive missiles can cause some damage to it, other weapons can't even penetrate its defenses.
Eve, so, these wounds can quickly heal.
More importantly, even these dozens of meters wide wounds are just scratch compared to the huge size of the spider kaiju. Only wounds with a diameter of at least half a kilometers can be called minor wounds.
"Compared to my regeneration ability, this giant spider is not that much inferior."
Fang Yun compared the giant spider regeneration ability and his own, then made such an evaluation.
"This monster is just too big. If I swallow it right now, I'm sure to evolve at least 10 times."
In terms fo his current size, the amount of bio-energy required for the next evolution is 800 million points, and with each evolution, the required bio-energy increase exponentially. Even so, this giant spider can make him upgrade at least 10 times.
He really wants to fish in troubled water and look for opportunities to sneakily eat some parts of that giant spider. However, he is really afraid that the human alliance will drop the big killers in that area.
If they have the opportunity to kill that giant monster, they probably won't hesitate to shoot, even if he is next to it.
The fierce attack of the human alliance caused him to be dumbfounded. This level of firepower is dangerous even in front of the defense of his scales and regeneration.
"The leader of the human alliance is about to give commands."
Fang Yun saw that Lu Cheng too the microphone and opened his mouth. Obviously, he is going to speak.
In the meeting room, Lu Cheng looked at the fierce war scene on the screen, then said to Lu Cheng.
"Li Nan, hold on for some time, the reinforcements are about to arrive."
"This time, we are going to bomb the kaiju mother with a calamity-class hydrogen bomb."
Before this kaiju mother was discovered, the main direction of their research was laser and explosive weapons.
These explosive weapons are based on the laser rays of the kaiju. They are made from specific materials found in the bodies of the kaiju.
These special materials are synthesized with Blue Planet native materials then injected into bullets, shells, and missiles. The moment the specific bullet, shell, or missile collide with the target, these special materials will have a specific reaction with air, thus producing a sun-like explosion.
The temperatures in the center of this explosion can reach terrifying levels. Even steel will evaporate in the center of this explosion.
Furthermore, the higher the content of this specific synthetic material in a shell or missile, the wider and more powerful the explosion, and the higher the temperature.
These are the type of weapons they have been producing to deal with kaiju and other sea monsters. They have been very efficient and effective up to now.
However, after discovering this giant kaiju mother, the human alliance discovered that their previous most powerful killer of the previous era is still very handy.
This giant kaiju is like a living target. Even if its power is far beyond level 5 and 6 kaiju. It's impossible for it to escape from this type of mass destruction weapon.
In addition, their electromagnetic pulse isolation technology has made great progress. They can now guarantee that the nuclear bomb won't detonate in advance like before. So this weapon might be the most effective for this giant kaiju mother.
After hearing Lu Cheng's words, Li Nan let out a sigh of relief. Since the command center has corresponding countermeasures, their situation won't be very bad.
"This thing, only a hydrogen bomb with the equivalent of more than 100 million tons can probably kill it."
Looking at the unprecedently big creature below. Li Nan thought internally. He wondered what kind of world-shattering scene would that be? Detonating a hydrogen bomb with the equivalent of 100 million tons.
It's a pity that he will be unable to see this kind of scene.
The scenes in the grass sea can't be seen from space, and they have to retreat before the hydrogen bomb is launched.
The destructive radius of a hydrogen bomb is extremely wide. A hydrogen bomb with an equivalent of a 100,000 ton is enough to destroy a modern city. So the destructive power of a 100 million ton hydrogen bomb can be imagined.
However, the defense of this giant kaiju mother is exaggerated. It's not far away from the hardness of tungsten. Which is a very hard metal. Not to mention the size of this monster which is bigger than many cities.
Li Nan doesn't have the slightest idea if that hydrogen bomb can kill this giant monster.
After all. Although an ordinary hydrogen bomb can destroy a city, it's just the city surface, including the building that are actually destroyed. Apart from the center of the blast, the earth doesn't actually suffer very much, and the hardness of this monster's body is much harder than rock.
While Li Nan was deep in his thoughts, he quickly received the order to retreat.
"Withdraw!"
A few seconds later, the fleet started moving, quickly getting away from the area near the kaiju mother.
After reaching an area about 25 kilometers away from the kaiju mother, he ordered the fleet to rise to the height of 30,000 meters above the sea surface.
"Ten, nine, eight ..."
"...Three, two, one!"
On the side of Guardian One, in a remote part of the island. Several holes suddenly appeared on the ground, then 3 giant intercontinental missiles suddenly flew from there, heading straight in the direction of the kaiju mother.
