Chapter 251: Sea and Air Battles
🕑 Added 2020-05-08 16:07:50 +0000 UTCThe K-series fighters on 'Panda country' airships took off. It wasn't just 'Panda country' fighters that took off. Even the 'Polar Bear' country fighters took off.
All of these fighters have the ability to take off and land vertically. They flew into the air then spread out, forming a confrontation with the levels 6 kaiju.
The war has begun.
The levels 6 kaiju started the battle by releasing an electromagnetic pulse attack, which affected the fighters and airships in its range. However, it didn't constitute that much of a problem, they are still able to move and launch missiles.
"Woosh! Woosh!"
Two fighters released one missile each towards the levels 6 kaiju. Each one of these two missiles possesses the ability of aimed guidance. They also have a very high resistance to EMP.
The two fighters that released the missiles belong to two different countries. One is 'Panda country' and one is the 'Bald Eagle' country. They only sent just these missiles for now. They aren't planning to use the other weapons for the time being.
"Boom! Boom!"
Along with the deafening sound of explosions. The missiles landed on the two levels 6 kaiju.
In a few seconds, two small suns were born. They enveloped the two levels 6 kaiju, releasing amazing heat and distorting the air.
This is the laser missiles developed by 'Panda country'.
Its destructive power has increased a lot since last time. It seems that it was improved by the 'Panda country'.
After a few seconds, the two small suns began to dissipate, revealing the appearances of the two levels 6 kaiju that were bombarded by the two missiles.
A giant burn wound has appeared on their stomach, it has a diameter of more than five meters, it'ss also emitted a scorched smell. Such a wound might not be fatal to that level of kaiju, but it's a lot of damage.
"Roar!!"
A pain-filled roar sounded from the two levels 6 kaiju. They quickly spread their wings and retreated to the back.
Their wounds started to quickly heal.
"Yeah!!"
In the human alliance fleet, many loud cheers sounded. They are very excited about the fact that they forced these two monsters to retreat so easily.
"Wooosh! Wooosh!"
Without any delay, 'Panda country' and the 'Bald Eagle' country sent two other guided missiles towards the two levels 6 kaiju. They aren't planning to give them a chance to heal.
However...levels 6 kaiju aren't so easy to deal with. The two dragon-kaiju opened their mouths and sent two laser beams straight at the incoming missiles.
"Boom!"
A Laser beam collided with a missile, creating an explosion. The other laser beam missed, causing the other missile to land on a level 6 kaiju, creating another small sun.
A few minutes later, the small sun slowly received, revealing another large hole in the body of the level 6 kaiju.
Fang Yun was surprised after seeing the initial confrontation between the kaiju and the human alliance. Especially when he saw that the human-technology equipment and missiles aren't affected by the EMP of the kaiju.
"If electromagnetic waves don't work, wouldn't my "Aegis Field" be a decoration?"
The technology of human civilization is developing rapidly. It's also very targeted. Humans should have started to study this type of weapon when level 5 kaiju appeared. Otherwise, it wouldn't have reached this level at this time.
The thing that is bothering him is that since this weapon isn't affected by the electromagnetic pulse of level 6 kaiju. it shouldn't be affected by his "Aegis Field", right?
Fang Yun was a bit worried. If so, then his defense against technological weapons will drop a lot.
After a while, he stopped thinking about this and looked back at the battle in the sky. After the temptation waves ended. Many doors on the airships opened, and many weapons pointed straight at the two levels 6 kaiju and the rest of the kaiju behind them.
A stream of projectiles, shells, missiles, and more were launched at the kaiju army. All of these were laser weapons.
It seems that there are not many high-power missiles that can defend against electromagnetic pulses.
Most kaiju defense is very high. Especially the level 6 ones, their defense is beyond imagination, most weapons have practically no effect on them. The weapon that can cause the most effective damage to this level of kaiju right now is laser weapons.
However, level 6 kaiju won't remain still and act as sandbags. They are flying in the sky at supersonic speeds, releasing electromagnetic waves and laser beams from time to time.
After the initial temptations, level 6 kaiju realized that EMP doesn't have that much of an effect on the human airships, so they quickly changed their strategy.
A K-series fighter was directly shot down. It was hit by a laser beam from the level 6 kaiju and exploded into pieces, most of which fell into the sea.
Looking from the position of Fang Yun. Two dragon-shaped monsters with a length of 300 meters are constantly shuttling in the sky, ducking and dodging all the projectiles and missiles that are thrown at them.
At the same time, many energy beams are spat from their mouth, landing on all the fighters shuttling in the sky, causing them to explode one after the other.
As the battle in the sky reached a stage of intense heat, the battle on the sea also began.
The cloned Kaiju belonging to humans collided with the aliens' kaiju. The soldiers on the marine ships are all holding laser guns. They aimed at the incoming ancient and mutant creatures and started attacking.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Many explosions occurred, many projectiles and explosive bullets landed on the giant creatures and the sea surface, creating a lot of splashes and dyeing the sea red.
This kind of war scene is like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. Fang Yun watched it with amazement.
Laser weapons might not be very effective for kaiju, but when dealing with these ancient and mutant creatures, the effect is instantaneous.
A single explosive bullet is usually enough to deal with a medium-sized ancient creature. Even the bigger ones can be killed by just a few more bullets.
However, the number of these ancient and mutant creatures is extremely exaggerated. No matter how many of them they killed, they seemed to never end. They can't even block their pace.
Some giant creatures tried to attack them from underwater, but they are already prepared for this. There are many controllable kaiju below their ships waiting for them.
Furthermore, their laser weapons are still effective even at the depth of ten meters, so at this moment, these giant creatures are suffering unnumberable casualties, trying to get closer to their ships.
Even the marine warships have explosive shells on them. Along with the laser weapons in the hands of the soldiers, they are constantly reaping the lives of those monsters.
Of course, the suicide attack of the monsters isn't useless. Due to the fact that the marine ships are scattered across the battlefield. They managed to bypass the defenses of some of them, attacking them.
For example, on one ship. Many giant creatures held down the kaiju protecting it. They also bypassed the barrage of attacks from the ship and soldiers, climbing it. After getting on the ship, they started harvesting the lives of all the people on it.
There are also some extremely large mutant creatures, quickly swimming from the depth of the sea towards the marine warships. A single collision from them can tilt or ever overturn the warships.
"It's time for me to play."
Fang Yun looked at the countless bodies of kaiju and ancient/mutant creatures floating on the sea surface with a grin. He quietly sank underwater, then swam towards the battlefield.
"Damn, why are there so many monsters, Is there no end to them?"
On a large warship, a middle-aged man holding was a machine gun in his hand, continuously shooting at the giant monsters ahead. He roared loudly, his face filled with anger and tiredness.
Beside him is a much younger soldier. After hearing the roar of the missile-aged man, he smiled helplessly and comforted him.
"Uncle Lin, the boss said that as long as we survive this predicament and build our first military base, we won't have to worry about food and clothes in the future, even if we don't work."
"Shit, Lao Tzu will live to the day when these monsters are extinct!"
The middle-aged man named Uncle Lin clenched the machine gun in his hand and shot the monsters ahead frantically, his face filled with madness.
At this time, a giant spider stealthily approached the warship, planning to jump to the deck. However, the middle-aged man quickly noticed it, and shot with his machine guns, reducing it to paste.
"Hahaha, Uncle Lin, your reaction speed is quite good."
When the young soldier saw this scene, he immediately complimented him. Uncle Lin smiled and was about to reply, but a huge shadow suddenly appeared on the sea surface, catching his attention.
"There is a big guy over there."
After saying this, he aimed the machine gun in his hands over there, but in the next moment, his actions stopped abruptly.
"That is……"
Uncle Lin was shocked. The young soldier beside noticed the reaction of the middle-aged man next o him, following his line of sight. He also noticed the huge creature that suddenly appeared on the side.
"Splash!"
Along with the sound of water breaking, the warship started rocking back and forth. Uncle Lin and the young man next to him quickly held on to the railing to keep their balance.
They looked with astonishment at the huge monster that suddenly appeared next to them.
"This is ... the giant serpent?"
