Chapter 248: New Challenges
🕑 Added 2020-05-06 16:31:00 +0000 UTCTheir military forces have obtained several aliens bodies without any effort, making 'Panda country' officials very happy. Their only regret is that these aliens turned into liquid.
The battle between the giant serpent and the kaiju army has provided them with very important information. Aliens are very vulnerable to lightning, it's just that they aren't sure what level of lightning is enough to kill them.
The government of 'Panda country' decided to make the battle between the giant serpent and the aliens public, instead, they started secretly research the aliens' bodies they salvaged.
Time passed quickly. Every day, as usual, many kaiju are attacking coastal cities, but most of them are stopped in the sea or the coast. All the big countries basically have barriers at their coasts. They have long been preparing for this war.
For example, many European countries have made great technological advancements, creating many new weapons. It's just that they are not as effective as the motherships and controllable kaiju of the 'Bald Eagle' country and the laser missiles and K-series fighters of 'Panda country'.
However, they bought many airships and motherships from the previously mentioned two countries. They bought even level 4 and 5 kaiju, bringing up their military power to a whole new level.
While the war between humans and aliens was continuing, Fang Yun was wandering in the ocean. In the past few days, he has been eating all sorts of sea monsters and giant creatures, nothing unusual.
The interesting thing that happened these days in his new discovery. Two days ago, he received some weir electromagnetic signals when he swam near the coast.
He was able to detect electromagnetic signals before, but it's a bit different this time. He can now deduce these electromagnetic signals and construct an image in his mind.
It's like watching an old TV with an antenna, snowflakes are filling the screen. By slowly turning the antennas, some unclear images will appear from time to time on the screen.
Fang Yun has this feeling right now.
There are some pictures and sounds in his mind, but most of the time it's in a vague state. This thing has caught his interest, perhaps this might be the way to relieve his boredom.
In the past few days, in addition to hunting, he has been tinkering with the electromagnetic waves and the image in his mind, trying various frequencies and waves.
Finally, on this day, the picture in his mind became clear.
He can now browse this world's information for the second time since his reincarnation. The image that appeared in his mind is that of a TV channel.
"OH! Yes!"
He was exhilarated to be able to watch TV again, but he quickly suppressed his excitement and continued to experiment.
After a few minutes of groping and experimenting, he quickly figured out how to change channels. In addition, to his excitement, he also found that he could access the Internet. The only requirement is to be close to a city.
He quickly started growing through all parts of the web, mainly to see the current developments of the world.
Fang Yun saw news of aliens catching humans, news of the 'Bald Eagle' country being attacked by "scourge". In addition, the mutation of terrestrial creatures, and the mysterious energy devouring bugs. Even the news of years ago was scoured by him.
After some research, he finally had a certain understanding of the current world situation.
Although the aliens seem to be in an overwhelming advantage, and the level 6 kaiju seems unstoppable. In fact, apart from the massacre of the African continent, and other smaller and unprepared countries, the bigger countries didn't suffer much.
The reason is that the number of level 6 kaiju is too small, and apart from them, the other monsters can't cause effective damage to the big countries. The Blue Planet humans weapons and technology has advanced a lot in the past few years.
The biggest reason for this situation is the 4 years rest period the aliens gave to the human civilization. That was their biggest and stupidest mistake.
"These aliens are really weak. It has been more than 10 years and they still aren't able to conquer a civilization that isn't able to get out of its mother planet."
Fang Yun shook his head in disapproval, then swam away, he didn't indulge on the internet as he did in his previous life, he has to hunt prey and grow. He has clear goals in front of him.
About another month later, it has been half a year since the kaiju appeared again. Fang Yun is still wandering in the sea near 'Panda country', occasionally going to 'Sakura country' or other countries to change places.
On this day, Fang Yun discovered that some changes have taken place in the ocean. A lot of ancient creatures started to mutate. Of course, their mutation is different from the previous ones.
The former creatures have basically become bigger and stronger after mutation, but now it's different. Their entire physiology has changed.
These marine monsters are changing every day, growing limbs, and becoming amphibians. Fang Yun ate some of these creatures and found that they have become silicon-based creatures.
Some of these mutated creatures are very strange. They have a large body, basically over 100 meters long, but they have no battle capabilities. Their only eye-catching feature is that many strange plants grow on their back.
These giant mutant creatures seem useless at first glance, probably the product of evolutionary failure, but Fang Yun later discovered the special features of these giant creatures.
He was keenly aware that the plants on the back of those giant mutant creatures would emit a special gas. He accidentally inhaled this gas and felt a bit uncomfortable after. He especially felt a burning sensation on his chest, but it was very slight.
However, this is already amazing. He is a 300+ meters giant snake, weighing hundreds of thousands of tons. Furthermore, he is a Peng snake, a demi-god level creature, with incredible digestive abilities and horrific regeneration abilities.
Even so, that gas was able to make him uncomfortable. For humans, inhaling just a small amount of that gas is enough to instantly burn their whole internal organs. This shows the
All of these mutant creatures began to gather towards human cities. Obviously, the aliens have changed their strategy. They will no longer attack humans with just those kaiju.
These newly mutated creatures have created panic in the human world. Especially those giant creatures with plants on their backs, they have caused innumerable casualties in just a few days.
Even more terrifying is that the plants on the backs of these ancient creatures can grow on land.
For example, after these giant creatures have landed on the beach, many seeds will fall from their back and automatically take root in the soil.
They absorb moisture and soil from the land where they are rooted at horrifying speed, allowing them to grow to full maturity in just a few days, causing a lot of damage to the land where they grow.
The seeds that fall from the back of those giant creatures aren't few, but many. Hundreds or even thousands fall from the back of a single giant creature, quickly proliferating and spreading on land.
After the danger of these plants was noticed. The governments of all the affected countries issued a death order. These plants must be all removed in a short time, or all humans will face terrible consequences.
These plants are particularly easy to recognize. After all, they emit a deadly gas. They are also easy to ignite, so they are mostly burned with fire.
Some of these deadly plants appeared in the forests near the coast, quickly growing and spreading. At their discovery, the order they received is to still burn them. It doesn't matter if the entire forest gets burned in the process, they can't take care of so much right now.
In the past few days, many places on the Blue Planet turned into a sea of fire. A lot of thick smoke and dust floated up to the atmosphere. The corresponding urban smog became very serious, forcing people to wear masks before going out.
In most of the following days, the sky was covered in a shade of grey, casting a haze in the heart of many people.
At the very least. They took countermeasures and destroyed those deadly plants before they caused irreversible damage, they are very easy to spot after all.
However, the second wave of secret attack happened, and Fang Yun was the first to discover it.
Of course, he's not sure if human authorities also discovered but refrained from making it public. Anyway, he has been surfing the internet in the past few days, but he didn't find anything about it;
Fang Yun discovered many special creatures advancing to land in the deep sea. Their shape is no different from that of human beings, but which humans can swim at the depth 500 meters underwater, for hours, and at a speed of 50 km/h? that's faster than most fish.
These "human beings" aren't wearing anything, there are men and women, but their appearance is no different from that of normal humans. Fang Yun followed them from afar and secretly watched as they climbed on the shore.
Looking at the back of these humans, Fang Yun suddenly remembered the humans that were kidnapped by aliens before.
"These humans should be the ones captured by aliens before."
Fang Yun secretly looked as these "Humans" sneaked from the coast to the city, then disappeared in his perception. He thoughtfully looked at them for a while, then decided to go online and follow the latest news.
He is really curious about what they are planning to do.
Now, Fang Yun is completely certain that the aliens changed their combat strategy again. Whether humans can survive this crisis depends on them.
