Chapter 243: The Reinforcements Arrive
🕑 Added 2020-04-22 23:34:12 +0000 UTCFang Yun raised his head and looked straight to the distant sky, his sight penetrated the clouds and landed right on the three huge motherships.
it seems that the three motherships didn't find him, they continued moving forward, approaching this island at an incredible speed.
Among the three motherships, the one in the middle is the largest, its shape is not much different from the motherships he saw before. The only thing different is its exaggerated size and additional turbo engines.
Besides that giant mothership, there are two slightly smaller ones, but still huge nonetheless.
The speed of the three motherships gradually slowed down, after which their altitude began to decline. From the look of things, they are preparing to land next to the base.
Seeing the giant motherships, the people inside the base cheered out loudly.
Even if there is a long distance between them, Fang Yun clearly heard the cheers. Even the guards on the walls shooting the giant creatures cheered up.
The faces of these people were filled with despair and exhaustion just a moment ago, but now, excitement can be seen on their faces as they madly shot the giant creatures below. From time to time, they will let out an excitement-filled curse.
"Die! animals! Lao Tzu will blast your head!"
"Hahaha, fuck, I waited so long, these guys finally arrived."
"Babys, eat my bullets obediently."
All of the people in the base started dancing in excitement. They are finally saved!
"Xiao Lan, Xiao Lan!"
In the crowd, the ponytail girl took Xiao Lan's hands and yelled.
"Look, our reinforcements are here!"
Hearing her girlfriend shouting, Xiao Lan raised her head and looked up at the sky. The first thing she saw is the three huge fighters coming in this direction.
Xiao Lan's hollow eyes gradually regained their luster, the repair and resignment on her face added, replaced by excitement and relief.
She has already accepted the fate of death, she didn't expect that she would survive this predicament and live for another day.
Xiao Lan, like other tourists, stared at the three motherships with expectations. She prayed that the three motherships could come sooner.
After the initial excitement, the security personnel on the wall focused on attacking the giant creatures outside the base. After such a long time, the area outside was covered by a thick layer of corpses.
"The corpses of these ancient and mutant creatures are enough for us to make a fortune. It's a pity."
A security officer looked at the corpses of ancient and mutant creatures piled up like a hill outside and let out a sigh of regret. These sea monsters' corpses can only go to waste. They don't have the guts to go out and collect them.
Just as the officers' muscles relaxed...
"Crack! Break!"
A strange noise sounded, causing them to subconsciously search for the source of the sound.
After looking around for a while, they didn't find the source of the sound. However, in this noisy environment, filled with the sound of gunshots, the roars of sea monsters, and the engine sounds of the distant motherships, it's hard to find the source of the sound.
Fortunately, the security officer didn't have to look for the source of the sound. The creature responsible for that strange noise appeared.
Along with the sound of bushes rustling, trees breaking, and falling. A behemoth slowly slithered out from the forest.
"OH MY GOD! what monster is that!"
The security officer was taken aback by the sudden appearance of Fang Yun. His eyes widened, and his face was filled with shock. He immediately picked up the machinegun he put down and aimed the gigantic serpent.
Fortunately, his companions stopped him before he caused a tragedy.
"Kevin, stop it!"
"Don't provoke that guy! Do you want to kill us?!"
The man who shouted has immediately recognized the snake's identity. It's the giant serpent.
He had heard some rumors before, saying that the giant serpent has appeared on this island. At first, he didn't believe it. The giant serpent has disappeared for a long time, why would it appear again here? However, it seems that the rumors are right.
The giant serpent slowly slithered towards the battlefield, attracting the attention of all the personnel on the wall.
The current length of Fang Yun is over 300 meters, so even the biggest sea monster that is attacking the base is just a puny rat in front of him.
Fang Yun isn't really interested in the battle between humans and sea monsters. He might help humans sometimes, but it doesn't mean that he is on their side. He prefers to be a neutral party.
The thing that is attracting his attention right now is the pile of sea monsters and dinosaurs bodies in front of him.
Fang Yun slithered to the edge of the battlefield. There are dozens of mutant creatures bodies pulled up there, among which there are many crocodiles and other amphibian creatures.
Opening his mouth, he acted like a forklift, swallowing all the giant creature's bodies on his way, leaving a clean path.
In his stomach, his super-strong gastric juice is working, decomposing these bodies into nutrients and energy in just a few seconds.
A shocking picture was presented in front of the security personnel on the wall. They watched in horror as the giant serpent devoured countless giant creatures in a short period of time.
The shocking thing is that the giant serpent body didn't change at all despite eating thousands of tones worth of meat.
"-...-"
"Is this monster's belly a black hole?"
On the wall, the security officer said with shock.
The giant serpent had swallowed hundreds of giant creatures and is continuing to eat more with no sign of stopping.
Fang Yun acted like a scavenger, eating all the bodies left on the ground without paying attention to the battlefield next to him.
His devouring speed is astonishingly fast, and his bio-energy points are also skyrocketing.
Two million, three million, four million ... ten million!
It has been a long time since he had eaten so happily. Occasionally, some bullets will land on him, but he didn't care and continued to eat cheerfully.
Even if these bullets are specially prepared for mutant creatures, able to easily penetrate a 5 inches thick steel plate, they still didn't even scratch him.
The security personnel above the fence changed from the initial shock to speechlessness, to the current numbness. They refocused on those ancient and mutant creatures, completely ignoring the giant serpent.
However, they suddenly discovered that these ancient and mutant creatures collectively stopped attacking. After a second of silence, they all retreated back
The giant serpent that was merely eating the sea monsters bodies suddenly raised his head and looked at the back of the base.
The people on the wall paused, then looked behind them curiously. They saw that the three giant motherships began to slowly land behind the base on an open clearing.
This scene caused the security personnel to howl in excitement. They thought that the retreat of those ancient and mutant creatures should be the credit of these three giant motherships.
These beasts feared the size and power of the crystallization of human technology, causing them to retreat. Yes, It must be this!
“YES！”
"bingo!"
The security personnel on the wall threw their guns on the ground and started dancing and celebrating cheerfully/
It wasn't just them, even the survivors in the base burst into cheers.
"These foolish people."
Fang Yun shook his head helplessly after seeing the security personnel throwing their weapons and celebrating.
This is not the end. When he first saw the three motherships, he happened to see something else. Even higher than the three motherships.
Sure enough, just a few seconds later. The sound of an object penetrating the sound barrier sounded, causing the expression of the security personnel to freeze.
