Chapter 219: Exploring Grass Sea
🕑 Added 2020-03-18 16:17:37 +0000 UTCFang Yun wasn't aware of the new disaster facing humans. Currently, he is wandering along the coastline. The giant turtle following behind him;
His speed of bio-energy accumulation here is even faster than the African coast. In this current era, the number of kaiju and mutant/ancient creatures is extremely numerous.
Adding to that the giant turtle, which can attract all sorts of creatures on a large scale, bio-energy became very easy to get.
It's worth mentioning that his reputation has reached 8 billion points yesterday. This time he got awarded 14 skill points, which is quite good.
Even more gratifying is that just a day later, his bio-energy has finally reached the requirement, seeing that, he didn't hesitate to start his evolution.
He got another 27 skill points, increasing his total skill points to 43.
Thinking for a moment, Fang Yun didn't hesitate to upgrade "Aegis Field". If he is attacked by human thermal weapons, and he didn't have the time to dive into the ocean, using this skill will enable him to guarantee his safety.
The current Blue Planet is getting more and more chaotic. Who knows if some human country gets crazy and decides to bomb him with a nuclear bomb.
The increasing number of kaiju and mutant/ancient creatures are driving humans into the edge of madness, who knows what kind of unexpected action can they take?
Fang Yun is already thinking so without knowing about the Blue Planet native animal mutation.
If he knew, he will definitely be even more determined about his precautions.
People on the edge of despair are the most dangerous. With nothing to lose, their actions can be extremely crazy.
Maybe one day, humans would be driven to the edge of extinction. At that time, they might go crazy and send all their missiles and nuclear bombs to all the giant creatures in the world, with the intention to die together.
Fang Yun feels that he might be overthinking things, but he still decided to be more cautious.
Apart from that, with each evolution, the number of bio-energy points is increasing. This time, he needs 80 million bio-energy points, which is already a lot, and this number is just going to increase with each evolution. He is really worried about this.
Just for the 80 million points, he will need to work hard for a few months, maybe even a year.
His daily routine consist of traveling, hunting, eating and sleeping, which is quite monotonous, but he learned to enjoy this process.
Moreover, the spirit attribute isn't there just for show. It involves willpower and spiritual power. With his current willpower, he won't be affected by normal things at all.
The giant turtle is surrounded by ancient.mutant creatures as usual, and Fang Yun was swimming beside it, eating these creatures with a satisfied look on his face.
The number of sea creatures in this era is really scary.
It stands to reason that now that there are so many giant creatures in the ocean, the number of small creatures will greatly diminish, resulting in an unbalanced food chain, thus a large extinction due to starvation.
However, this has never happened. In fact, it wasn't even reflected.
Fang Yun noticed that the number of microorganisms in the ocean reached a scary level, and various small fish and shrimps that survived by eating these microorganisms also quickly multiplied.
As a result, the food chain has stabilized again.
This is strange, why are there so microorganisms in the ocean?
Fang Yun speculated that there should be some kind of "eutrophication", that is overly enriching the ocean with minerals and nutrients, in the current Blue Planet, and the cause of this phenomenon is undoubtedly related to that folding space.
There might even be some substance in the other world that causes extreme growth and even mutation, thus creating ancient and mutant creatures. After the opening of the space channel, that substance should have seeped into the Blue Planet.
"Sigh... This has nothing to do with me, I'm not a scientist. This is a problem that human civilization should consider."
Fang Yun shook his head and continued hunting the creatures around the giant turtle.
........
Research on the situation in the Grass Sea area is continuing. Although it has become a restricted area, it's clear that it is the source of all the disasters that humans are facing right now.
The A15 flight crashed in that area. The cause of the accident was not due to an abnormal magnetic field. This is the information conveyed by the captain before his death.
Their plane crossed an extremely long area, much much larger than that area should cover, eventually running out of fuel and crashing into the deep sea.
From the airport station perspective, the plane was moving forward at a very slow speed, then suddenly crashed into the sea.
Through research, they found that the abnormal magnetic field in the Grass sea can only affect up to 3 kilometers in the air, so they sent three fixed-wing aircraft to fly at an altitude of over 3,000 meters.
Two of them were used as tankers, and the last one was used for surveys.
They are planning to enter that area and investigate what's going on inside. After entering that area, they will calculate the time, once the fuel is about to run out, they will return.
There is also a certain danger in doing so, after all, that area is too dangerous and abnormal.
This plan was secretly executed by the 'Bald Eagle'. Due to the extreme secrecy, the world didn't get any wind of their actions. Most of the internet is still talking about neural interactive technology.
On all three planes, there are signal sources connected with the command room, and the cockpit and the bottom of the plane are also filled with cameras, capturing all the scenery flashing on the way.
When these three planes flew over the Grass sea, the people in the command room were all tense, sweat filled their palms. Fortunately, there was no accident.
Time passed by.
One minute, ten minutes, one hour.
The fuel tank mounted on the central plane can support them to fly 7,000 kilometers, plus the refueling machine, the distance can be extended to more than 40,000 kilometers.
However, they took into account the amount required for going back, so the maximum distance they can cross is 20,000 kilometers.
In the command room, on all the screens, all they could see was the endless sea and the vast sky.
According to information on the old map, as long as the three planes continue moving forward, they should be able to see an island after two hours.
However, after more than 3 hours of constant fight, they still didn't see any trace of that island.
Only after 10 hours of constant flight did they finally see the expected island.
"The area of the grass sea has widened? and so much?"
From the perspective of outer space, the area of Grass sea is no different from before. All the satellites provided the same result after detecting that area.
However, that doesn't seem to be the case. The flight distance that can be covered in just 2 hours now takes 10 hours to complete.
If that's truly the case, then the area of the grass sea has widened by at least 5 times!
This discovery is already extremely astonishing, but as they continued to move forward, even more alarming things happened.
About ten hours later, the pilot on the plane noticed that a lot of islands suddenly appeared ahead, but these islands didn't exist on the map previously!
The crew members on the plane used a high-powered telescope to detect the scenery on the island. They were shocked to discover that the island was filled with prehistoric animals and botanical gardens.
Countless tall ancient trees stood on the island, and many giant creatures were walking on the land.
Among the variety of giant and strange creatures, the most conspicuous and recognizable are the dinosaurs.
"It's so shocking."
After seeing such a scene, the crew on the plane were all shocked.
Previously, only the aquatic ancient creatures have ever appeared, this is the first time that terrestrial ancient creatures were spotted, which is an extremely shocking discovery.
Three planes circled around the island for a while, then could only helplessly return to their homeland.
These shocking discoveries weren't made public by the 'Bald Eagle'. They secretly started a lot of plans, and new research teams are being formed.
A huge undercurrent is being formed under the surface known to the public. A new storm is brewing, and with it may be the destruction or the evolution of human civilization.
