Chapter 215: Leaving The African Continent
🕑 Added 2020-03-11 23:07:36 +0000 UTCFang Yun examined his body. He has grown into a truly huge monster. His current length is about 200 meters, and his width is about 6.5 meters.
The current him can easily twist a 100 meters warship into scrap iron.
In addition, after this evolution, he got new skills. It's just that he didn't upgrade any one of them.
This time, two new skills were refreshed.
The first one is "Energy Beam", as the name suggests, it's a skill that gives him the ability to release compressed energy beams, a bit similar to that of Godzilla Atomic Breath, but more concentrated. It's a super long-range high-damage attack.
This skill has great compatibility with "Thunder Domain" and "Overclocking Resonance". He can use these two skills to detect and lock a target from dozens of kilometers away, then use "Energy Beam" to instantly vaporize it.
According to the skill description, the initial speed of the energy beam is about Mach 5, but as the skill level increase, the destructive power, range and speed of this skill increase.
The second skill is "Aegis Field", a defense/control skill.
This skill isn't the same as the previous defensive skills. It doesn't improve his physical defense like the other defensive skills.
After activating this skill, an extremely large invisible shield will form around him. This shield has the characteristics of electromagnetic pulse, with an initial diameter of 1 kilometer.
Electromagnetic pulses, otherwise known as EMP, can disable electronic components in various devices and weapons, including missiles and other hot weapons.
In addition, the electromagnetic pulses emitted by "Aegis Field" is different from the traditional EMP, it can also cause disturbances in the physiological functions of surrounding organisms.
In other words, even if he is fighting with an opponent in melee, this skill can greatly affect the movements of the opponent.
Both skills caused Fang Yun to feel excited. Unfortunately, both skills need 30 skill points for each upgrade.
If he chose to upgrade one of these skills before, it wouldn't be cost-effective. Although both of these skills are very powerful, their might at level 1 won't be so great. It would be better to upgrade "Overclocking Resonance".
After all, this skill has been upgraded twice before. Furthermore, with his 42 skill points, he can upgrade only one of the new skills once, but he can upgrade "Overclocking Resonance" twice, so the best choice is definitely upgrading this skill.
Right now, he is really eager to earn skill points and strengthen himself.
This planet is getting more and more dangerous.
The mega kaiju (level 5) has already appeared.
This means that he can't act as fearlessly as before. Facing just a single level 5 kaiju, he can easily slaughter it, facing two is already difficult. Any more than that and he can only run. Their laser beam attack is dangerous even for him.
In addition, he can't use his skills infinitely, his energy is limited. For example, he can use "Thunder Domain" 10 times. His power will run out after that.
The same is true for "Overclocking resonance". using it too many times will not only damage his throat, but his spirit will also get overdrawn too, making him very sleepy, or even unconscious in the worst-case scenario.
Right now, his level has increased to 27. What frightened him was that the required bio-energy for the next evolution has more than doubled, reaching 50 million. That means that he has to hunt 70 levels 5 kaiju in order to evolve.
Fang Yun is planning to temporarily leave the African continent and head towards the Asian continent.
He is going to leave this place due to two reasons. Firstly, he needs to accumulate reputation, and secondly, this place is getting more and more dangerous. It would be dangerous if he gets besieged by a group of level 5 kaiju.
.......
"The giant serpent has left the coast of Africa", this piece of news swept the world like a hurricane.
The people on the African continent were mourning, and people on other continents, especially Asia, are filled with expectation, except Europe.
The giant serpent is moving in the opposite direction to that of their continent.
More specifically, it's moving towards the Asian continent.
Fang Yun wasn't laying on the back of the giant turtle, he is currently too big and too heavy for that. The turtle is still following behind him though.
After three months, Fang Yun came to the Timor Sea from the South African coast. This sea is between Australia and the 'Komodo Dragon' country.
"Great snake god, please stop your steps."
Australians and 'Komodo dragon' citizens are praying, many people stood on the coastline, kneeling and praying towards the sea.
Unfortunately, the giant serpent continued moving forward, making the people in these two countries very sad.
Although it's impossible for the giant serpent to intercept all the kaiju, it can still intercept a large number of them, making things for them much easier.
The giant serpent also seems to like eating kaiju.
In addition, after killing the kaiju, the battlefield won't be filled with toxic gas like human battlefields, as the giant serpent either roast them to death with thunder or break their bodies apart relying on its enormous physical strength.
Furthermore, it has been scientifically proved that kaiju flesh and blood don't react much with water, thus not producing a lot of toxic gas after getting killed in the sea.
Based on this, some people suggested attacking the kaiju before they land on the coast.
However, kaiju aren't stupid. The moment they feel danger, they will immediately hide underwater.
The most important point is that the kaiju whose blood reacts with the earth after death, producing toxic gas, is level 3 and higher, and those kaiju can't be detected by humans before landing.
After crossing the Timor Sea, Fang Yun headed towards the north. He came to the Banda Sea, eventually crossing the entire 'Komodo Dragon' (Indonesia) archipelago.
This time, it was the 'Carabao country' (Philipines) turn to pray.
Unfortunately, the giant serpent didn't stay in that place but continued moving on.
It was the turn of the people of the 'Panda country' to feel nervous.
Many people started to pray, some even offering incense and honoring the giant serpent as their ancestor.
"Godly snake, Grandpa serpent, please stop. There is a lot of delicious kaiju here waiting for you..."
Fang Yun finally stopped in the East sea of 'Panda country', which is along the coast of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. He passed next to the coast, witnessing a lot of cities that have become a ruin.
Wenzhou, Taiwan, and Shanzhou.
He chose to settle in Taishi, then wander to both sides of the coast. He knew that he is being monitored. Many drones are recording his movements from several kilometers away.
He doesn't really care about that. In fact, that's his goal from the beginning, reputation. So he didn't destroy those drones and allowed him to monitor him.
The news that the giant serpent settled in Taishi quickly spread out, causing the people of the entire Asian continent to get excited, especially 'Panda country' citizens.
'Sakura country' people were the most disappointing ones.
They thought that the giant serpent has left the African continent in order to rescue them.
This country is very miserable due to having too many coastal cities. If it weren't because 'Panda country' helped them share a lot of kaiju, they would have been in a worse situation.
After Fang Yun settled there, he immediately began to search in the ruined cities, mainly searching for traces of kaiju.
For him, searching in such a complicated city is actually very easy. Whether it's "Thunder Domain" or "Overclocking Resonance", he can use them to explore everything in the range of 20 to 30 km.
His speed is also quite fast, he can quickly explore an area.
