Chapter 229: Intimidation and Retreat
🕑 Added 2020-03-31 22:56:34 +0000 UTCAlong with a deafening sound, three huge airplanes appeared on the computer screen.
These three airplanes appeared in the horizon. At first, they were just a small point, then in just a few moments, their body shape appeared clearly on the screen.
Covered in dark gray metallic paint, their head has a geometric shape, with very smooth lines and streamlined shape. These airplanes have two engines on both sides of the wings, a large and small one.
As they approached the mothership of 'Sakura country', the airplanes began to decelerate. The two small engines rotated downwards, then a transparent blue flame came out of them. A few moments later, the three airplanes were hovering next to the mothership.
"This……"
Seeing this scene, Li Zhi was dumbfounded, he watched this scene with eyes wide open.
"What kind of airplane is this?"
As a man, he is quite interested in weapons such as aircraft and cannons. He occasionally looks up news about the newest weapons, especially domestic weapons.
However, he never heard that their country has such an aircraft.
"A new aircraft?"
This idea suddenly popped up in Li Zhi's mind. He couldn't help but get extremely excited.
It wasn't just the 'Bald Eagles' who created news weapons, their country has also done so.
These sci-fi-like giant planes look like a fighter, but they are very large, according to Li Zhi's estimation, they are at least 150 meters long.
Naturally, they can't be compared with the mothership in terms of size, but it's still quite exciting.
They have also mastered air suspension technology. The engine problem seems to have been overcome. Moreover, their aircraft seems to be much faster than the motherships of the 'Bald Eagles'.
"K-1B, is this the type of this aircraft?"
Li Zhi noticed that there are several fonts printed on the sides of the three giant airplanes, which appeared to be their models.
"Hahaha, with these three large airplanes coming, does 'Sakura country' dare to be arrogant?"
Li Zhi was very excited. He once again opened the international forum that he had browsed before and read the posts that are madly refreshing.
it turns out that all the netizens of 'Panda country' were posting, all of them looked very excited. The heavy rock in their hearts finally fell off.
There are also a lot of people apologizing on the internet, they are the 'Panda country' citizens who cursed their government for their incompetence.
Li Zhi read a few posts and thought it was funny. In fact, he also thought that their government is a pushover previously. As soon as Sakura country showed its new weapons, they immediately run away.
He didn't think that in fact, they didn't run away, they just gave way to the more advanced weapons.
Li Zhi also saw a few posts from 'Sakura country' people, saying that the suspendable airplane of 'Panda country' is completely useless and that it's basically just for show.
The ammunition load is not as good as their mothership, and its defense capabilities are certainly not as good. More importantly, their "Kappa" is still below.
In front of these two nuclear-level weapons, what is the use of these three giant airplanes?
It's as if a group of people are showing off their wealth. Everyone else is showing off mansions and luxury cars worth millions of dollars, and someone is showing off his 100,000 dollar car, won't he feel awkward?
It was as if a basin of cold water was poured on him, the excitement in Li Zhi's heart was abruptly cut off. He switched back to the live broadcast page and watched the scene on the screen.
The three giant airplanes slowly circled around 'Sakura country' mothership. They seemed to be warning them, but 'Sakura country' did not show any signs of retreating.
In fact, not only did they didn't step back, but they also shouted to 'Panda country' on the channel, stating that they are currently on international water and that 'Panda country' has no right to interfere with them.
"Sir, 'Panda country' has given us three minutes to retreat. They said that If we continue to move forward, they will launch an attack."
In the command room of the mothership, the young soldier with the headset turned around and said to Nobita Watanabe with a solemn look on his face.
Hearing that, Watanabe frowned.
He really doesn't know where the confidence of Panda country comes from. Their warning truly caused him to hesitate. He started wondering if they should really go back to international water or not.
Watanabe started thinking of retreating. After all, their neighbor is really powerful. Even if they have the support of the number 1 country in the world, they are still hesitant to face the number 2.
'Panda country' is a truly powerful country, even with the weapons given by the 'Bald Eagles', he is still hesitant about this plan. More importantly, he doesn't really like that they are used as a pawn to test the power of 'Panda country'.
Even if that's one of the conditions of getting the mothership and the kaiju.
He looked at the time, wondering at what point in time to give his withdrawal instructions.
One minute passed, two minutes passed.
"Creak!"
A mechanical sound suddenly sounded, attracting the attention of all the people. Watanabe looked for the source of the sound. he turned his attention towards the three giant planes opposite to them,
On the top of the middle one, a hatch suddenly opened, after which a huge barrel stuck out.
"What do they want to do?"
Watanabe was suspicious, wasn't it three minutes? He rushed to the console and tried to get in touch with the three airplanes ahead, but they suddenly fired.
In front of the computer, Li Zhi also saw the hatch on top of the middle airplane opening. He was also shocked. Could it be said that 'Panda country' is about to open fire?
His heart started beating fiercely, his eyes were glued to the computer screen in front of him.
However, the next thing that happened slightly eased his nervousness.
The huge barrel wasn't aimed at the opposite mothership, but rather at its left. Suddenly, a red light was lit at the tip of the barrel, then a missile flew out.
"Phew!!"
The missile flew at an incredible speed, traversing 5 kilometers in just a few seconds, then landing straight on the sea surface.
"BOOM!!"
A huge deafening sound, even after such a long distance, was still clearly captured by the cameras on the mothership.
When Li Zhi saw the sight of this missile exploding, he was shocked.
He saw that a huge water column quickly rose from the sea surface, but instead of falling back into the sea, it was directly vaporized into a large swath vapor, which quickly spread around.
It wasn't just the water column vaporizing, even the seawater around was directly vaporized, otherwise, it won't directly form such a thick area of fog.
"How high is the temperature generated after this missile explodes?"
The fog quickly spread around. Even 5 kilometers away from the place of the explosion, near the mothership, the fog was floating around. The scene on his computer screen was blurred. This is because the camera lenses are covered with fog.
Li Zhi was extremely shocked by the power of that missile. After calming down, he felt that this missile effect is a bit familiar. It's a bit like the effect kaiju energy rays make upon contact with water.
The usual missile or nuclear bomb explosion will create very high temperatures, but that usually lasts for only an instant, so those high temperatures don't really cause any harm.
However, at present, this kind of missile can erupt with extreme power just by the hot temperature its release.
Li Zhi once again got excited. Sure enough, 'Panda country' is not unprepared. The technology mounted on this giant airplane is not just as simple as air suspension.
The air defense cannons carried by the mothership are useless in front of those missiles. As long as a single missile lands on it, the high temperature from the explosion will severely affect it.
In addition, this weapon can severely threaten the kaiju.
In the past, some people have proposed the idea of understanding the principle of the kaiju laser beam, copying it, then using it against them;
However, this proposal couldn't be fulfilled. Humans can hardly understand the principles behind the kaiju laser beam, let alone copy it.
While all the countries around the world were looking for a breakpoint, no one expected 'Panda country' to decipher the principle of laser beams and apply it to their missiles.
Li Zhi casually opened the previous forum and clicked on a post. That post was filled with the comments of 'Panda country' people. Each one of them looked awe-inspiring and smug.
"Holy cow! isn't this the laser beam of the Kaiju? It's almost the same apart from its slower speed."
"Hahaha, I didn't expect that our 'Panda country' was hiding such a weapon!"
"It's so handsome. Directly launching a missile to teach 'Sakura country' to be a man. Don't be so smug in front of this uncle!"
"Hahaha, 'Sakura country' has begun to retreat. They must be frightened."
After reading some of his compatriot comments, Li Zhi quickly switched back to the live channel. Sure enough, he saw that the mothership was retreating. Even "Kappa" was retreating, seeing this, he couldn't help but feel national pride flowing in his chest.
'Sakura country' came to pretend in front of them, but retreated with its tail between its legs.
In the command room, Nobuo Watanabe looked at the scene in the display in front of him. It was the area hit by the missile. At this moment, there is still a very noticeable hole in the sea, with water constantly filing it.
His face was slightly pale.
Unexpectedly, 'Panda country' has mastered such a powerful technology.
"Retreat now!"
He decisively ordered.
"Contact Kappa and prepare to evacuate."
The mothership started to retreat, and on the display in front of Watanabe Nobita, the area where "Kappa" was located was shown. At this time, "Kappa" also turned around and walked back.
Watanabe's face was filled with gloom. As the 'Bald Eagle' government expected, 'Panda country' has developed a very powerful weapon.
Just as he was worried about the future of 'Sakura country'. At this moment, a surprising scene appeared on the display, his thoughts converged as his eyes suddenly widened.
Li Zhi watched as the mothership started retreating, followed by "Kappa". After looking at them with a smile, he was planning to switch back to the forum page, then read the various funny comments of his compatriot.
After all, watching other 'Panda country' citizens comment in that smug tone is quite relieving and funny.
However, just when he moved the mouse to switch the webpage, his action suddenly came to a halt. A bright purple light suddenly appeared on the sea surface on the display screen, followed by the sound of lightning.
Li Zhi was stunned, but seemingly thinking of something, a foul word suddenly burst from his mouth
"Frick!"
