Chapter 227: Training Event Begins
🕑 Added 2020-03-29 12:26:02 +0000 UTCThis is the second live broadcast in the world where a human does control a kaiju for training, it naturally attracted a lot of attention.
People from all over the world were looking forward to seeing that.
At nine o'clock in the morning, the entirety of 'Sakura country' was boiling. In a dedicated live broadcast channel, a huge monster appeared on the TV screen.
It was a Godzilla-like kaiju with a large body. According to official statistics, this monster has a 150-meter-high body, a long neck, and a relatively small head.
Above its spine, there is a bone spur that spreads out to the left and right. Its lower limbs are extremely thick, and its tail is filled with muscles and spikes.
Many 'Sakura country' citizens were watching this live TV broadcast. They suffered heavy losses in the past few years, losing almost 1/3 of their population, so they are very insecure.
They are afraid that the kaiju will make a comeback. Furthermore, their neighbor to the west didn't have the slightest intention to help them. Their loss in the previous disaster was extremely heavy.
In comparison, the situation of 'Panda country' is much better than them. After all, it has a very large area. Even if they gave up on coastal cities, their extremely large land allowed them to relocate all the citizens in those cities without much of a problem.
'Sakura country' is different. Their land is a long and narrow land with relatively a small habitable zone. Furthermore, they have a large population. The pressure they suffered during the past events was so big that it almost caused their destruction.
It is precisely because of this that the gap between 'Sakura country' and 'Panda country' is getting wider and wider. The vulnerable 'Sakura country' not only has concerns about its neighbor, but it's also a bit jealous of them.
However, the emergence of "Kappa" has greatly increased the confidence of the people of the 'Sakura country'. Their lack of security has greatly subsided, and their confidence has increased.
After all, they have received the two most powerful weapons in the world.
Mothership, controllable Kaiju.
With these two nuclear-level weapons, they don't have to worry too much about their neighbor or normal monsters. As long as they have enough time, their economy can naturally recover, and they will return back to their previous position.
Even if the monster disaster comes again in the future. Now that they have a controllable kaiju and a mothership, they won't be as miserable as before.
The discussion about the training event of "Kappa" filled forums and media platforms. According to the information disclosed by 'Sakura country', "Kappa" has the ability to release energy beams.
In this incoming training, they will demonstrate the ability of "Kappa".
...........
Li Zhi looked at the scene outside the window. The sky was gloomy. He is now in Mei City, a city in 'Panda country'.
Because today is Sunday, he didn't go back to work but stayed inside his home.
Due to the special circumstances of this age, everyone has to work hard. People like him have only 1 day of rest out of the whole month. Sometimes, they can't even rest a single day in the whole month.
Leaning back in front of the bed and stretching, Li Zhi returned to the desk.
At first glance, he saw a photo frame resting next to his computer with a photo inlaid therein. It's a photo of two people standing together with a youthful smile on their faces.
One of them was him, and the other is a young man wearing a pair of black-rimmed glasses, giving off the atmosphere of a scholar. That was his good buddy, Luo Huan.
Looking at the young man in the photo frame, Li Zhi was slightly sad. He recalled the time when he and Luo Huan were on campus. They have the same hobbies and often stay in front of the computer and watch videos of various animals.
They witnessed the incident where the live streamer Jonny encountered a 20-meter long python in the Ugandan prairie, and later saw the incident when Jonny was attacked by a sea monster in the ocean.
Unfortunately, they will never be able to sit together and recount the past.
Five years ago, his good buddy Luo Huan died due to a lung infection.
"Sigh……"
Letting out a long sigh, Li Zhi stopped thinking about those depressing memories and focused on his computer. He opened the browser and enter a web address.
He still remembers that today is the time for 'Sakura country' to conduct the "Kappa" training event.
Although he is just a nobody, he doesn't need to worry about such things.
However, this change is likely to affect their lives that have just stabilized.
He entered the live TV channel. Instantly, a huge monster appeared on Li Zhi's computer screen.
That monster was standing in a shallow part of the ocean, the water barely reached its knees. Beside it, there is a huge steel machine suspended. Eight turbine engines on both sides are rotating rapidly, creating a loud sound.
Li Zhi frowned.
He knows that their country is also developing this type of flying aircraft carrier, and there is some news about it. However, there is no news about controllable cloned kaiju.
While Li Zhi was thinking about this, the kaiju codenamed "Kappa" suddenly moved. It swam deeper underwater, then quickly moved forward.
Its speed is quite fast, about 120 kilometers per hour. However, what amazed the audience was that the mothership was able to follow it with ease.
"This mothership should be much more advanced than the one the 'Bald Eagle' showed one year ago."
Li Zhi sighed deeply. It's indeed the most advanced scientific and technology country on the Blue Planet. 'Panda country' is hardpressed to catch up.
In the video, the camera continuously switched between "Kappa" and the deck of the aerospace aircraft carrier, where the corresponding reporter is talking.
She is talking about "Kappa" physical condition, such as its physical problems, and whether there are any abnormalities in its organs and so on.
Because the speed of the aerospace aircraft carrier is very fast, these reporters didn't stand on the deck. They are currently in the control room.
The more he looked, the more Li Zhi furrowed his brows.
He noticed that the route of "Kappa" is a bit problematic. It's clearly going straight towards 'Panda country'
Coupled with the training location, which is in the territorial sea area of 'Panda country'. The current "Kappa" swimming forward is undoubtedly a provocation.
"What do these guys want?"
It wasn't only Li Zhi who noticed that, on international forums, many netizens from 'Panda country' were posting questions about 'Sakura country' actions. Why are they heading straight towards 'Panda country'
"No doubt, this is a provocation!"
In international forums, netizens from 'Panda country' seemed extremely indignant. A huge mothership and a level 4 kaiju. These are undoubtedly extremely powerful weapons.
This configuration is very dangerous. Not to mention going straight towards their country territory. Even if it's in their territorial sea area, they will never agree.
What are the intentions of 'Sakura country'?
